This kind of honest, kick ass performance is why I still play at 53! You can have my strings when you can pry them from my cold, dead (arthritic, aching) fingers!
It's like you spoke for me too (53), but add arthritis to the back, knees and (SEVERELY) left wrist. Going to play until I can't. This band never made it as big as they deserve, and I'm glad they still bring it after all these years, and I'm glad Pepper didn't stay away too long. Pure, honest, brutal passion for making and playing music. Can NOT wait for the next record! If they can ever top ITAOG my head might explode.
Wow...Great show! They were cool before cool existed. Hugely influential band. They were the heaviest on the scene back in 91 when Blind came out. People were like WOW!..Who are these guys? I love the sludge they bring. They still have that same drum sound they have. It's very distinct. Thx CoC!! Much love from NC!!
I remember the first time that I saw C.O.C. perform live here in NOLA was when I was 14 years old, and Pepper was only 18 we were both in the crowd for the show in a local bar named "Jed's Lookout.". That was many years before he joined the band, and we got lucky and saw C.O.C. with D.R.I. twice in just a few months while they were touring in 1985. They still sound great, even without Reed! I can't believe they actually found a good drummer with long blonde hair to replace Reed Mullin.
I used to work at The Town Pump in Vancouver back in '94... these guys played one night, and absolutely kicked ass! They even joined us for a joint out back after the show. They loved our BC Bud. 😎
These guys are hard ass's. What a life being a metal band for 40 years without a lot of money support just balls. Here they are somewhere on the planet still melting faces 🫠in 2023
@@ccc1362 That's not true. I moved up to Raleigh in '86 and Reed, Woody, and Mike were in the band then. Pepper joined close to '90. I was living in a house with three apartments in '89, and Reed had the basement apartment. I met Pepper then. Mike left CoC around '87, but he and Woody cut a record as Snake Nation with Brian Walsby, who was working at the Rathskeller with me at the time. Yep. Natural T booster or something. I am fixing to get up and work out on a whim 2 minutes into this video.
Remember buying concert DVDs?
A lot them could only wish to have this kind of production value. Now we can have them for free. Thank you, Rockpalast!
