I think this one was something that folks had asked for - Synth Pads combined with an Acoustic Guitar - perfect for Worship type situations?

The helix is just an amazing piece of gear

It's something I always like having on my board, can insert it anywhere on any rig, use it to patch anything that might go wrong, and if everything fails use it to go direct with cab modeling. A katana artist, boss foot switch, and helix an amazing grab an go rig for bar gigs/jamming with friends/practicing when you don't want to lug around a gaint pedalboard or tube amp.

It's amazing how you always find new tones and since I'm new to the helix world, it helps me a lot to understand its functions. Thank you!
BTW there is a small problem with the audio at minute 5:26

I think that the idea of Herfinnur Arnafjall is a good one. Maybe could also be extended to the Quad Cortex..

Sweet vid as alwayJonny C. I appreciate you. Hey have you ever played the REVV models in the HelixHX Somp, Pod Go? I play the podgo. And I'm finding the Purple channel very dynamic even for soft to heavy, dig in blues type stuff. I need to see your take on this .. feel free to expand on that of course.. lol. But yea, check out the REVV Purple ✔️. Thanks for what you do. Way fn off topic ...I know 😂 but yea

Very cool Preset! Is it a practical option to use the Expression Pedal to change the Pitch Parameter, maybe a whole or half step up or down or other interval, to expand the number of Pad chords available in real time?

I think I have never seen you mention the use of stereo external switches. I'm interested in your take on utilizing them with HX Stomp. I work mostly in the box (DAW) and I haven't really pushed the possibilities.

JNC, excellent topic and inspiring presentation. The piezos on a Variax for the acoustic tones and the Helix synth models deliver this combo in fine form. Your choice of the '3 Note' provides a great starting point for a future go at the too rarely used yet powerful synth features of Helix. Hey, if you would please; share an update on your Mesa amp repair in a future post. Cheers from WA state in the US. d.t.

3:30 Alright, I'll put my sadist tendencies aside (wehey, didn't know I had that in me) and finally tell you that the first way you spake my last name had the emphasis on the right syllable. Just soften the 'j' to an'i' or 'e' sound, prounounce the 'á' at the beginning of my last name as a short 'o' and turn the 'r' into a 'd'.
So phonetically something like this (accented syllable written in capital letters):
    ODDnafial
Nordic names and words that aren't loan words are always iambic and the last syllable is ALWAYS weak. Icelanders even go so far as to pronounce foreign names with an accent on the first syllable, e.g.: MEtallica, DÚran DÚran, BArack ÓBama, NElly FÚrtado, etc.
Edit: the same goes for IKEA furniture names
    Edit no. 2:
Btw, My name means something like: "Warrior-pawn Eagle-mountain"

I beg to differ , no one does synth pads better than a Godin Multiac or any guitar equipped with a Roland GK 3 pickup paired with the brilliant Roland Synths starting with the SY 1000, GR 55 , GR 20 etc.
