Think of the EHX Freeze, or Gamechanger Audio Plus pedal if you're wondering what I'm on about!

The Ganymede reverb can do infinite ”hold”. Its possible to set it up just like in this video, but only use one block. It’s sounds different of course but it’s a good option. I tend to use the Ganymede for this sometimes before the amp to let the infinite trail “drive” the amp in mono (post rock style), and sometimes I place it after the amp and in stereo for nice big infinite swells.
This is awesome! I knew I had a few months before I could get a Helix so I actually purchased a Freeze pedal and your effect is so similar that I don’t think I’d be able to notice the difference
Love these instructional videos. I got your expressions pack a while ago just for some of these sounds. Everyone should be buying you a coffee. I took the volume pedal out and moved all the expression controlled features to the a/b split. Not a giant difference in functionality but it gives you a little more dsp to work with or an extra slot depending on what you’re doing. Thanks for showing us this trick, have a blessed day.

John - Just purchased all 3 of your preset folders. (I have previously purchased the old General folder). One suggestion on your video description into is to put the name of the preset from the folder in there so we know which video corresponds to which preset. Thanks rock on keep it up

Could you program the freeze mechanism to activate on a footswitch hold?

Edit: another way of doing it without an expression pedal is to momentarily open the y-split and leave the feedback at 100 on the delay. Set a foot switch to drop the feedback momentarily as well so you can stop the freeze. Then to reset it just press and hold the y-split open and play next notes.
mmm i have a freeze pedal use it rarely,, also an hxfx , i thought they had put out a freeze setting on the helix a while ago?
Question: would this be capable to replace a TC Infinite Pedal or Freeze (any drawbacks to using the HX Stomp over the TC Infinite or other similar pedal - IOW can I sell my TC Infinite if I buy a Stomp)?
Would the HX stomp get overloaded as you mentioned the processing power necessary to do this on HX. Sounds great here.
Also, if I was going to sell my tube amps and go full digital (I don't gig) would the Stomp suffice -or get a Helix (any big drawbacks to just the stomp)? OR could I just do all this with plug-in's/midi on my computer?

Quite a “chilled” sound. Trying to get my head around how one would go about using a overdriven lead over the clean freeze tone…
In this example you could add OD block on top row between the loop
ie parallel with the freeze
Assign a button and switch it on/off when you want

This method works for sustained drones, but one of my favorite ways to "play" the EHX Freeze is to constantly pedal it it to hold individual and constantly changing chords.
