😄 you sure are quick with your comment. 👍. The price point has more to it than just a good painting. If you succeed in enhancing the value around your painting and make it an experience, then you can see those kind of prices. Also not easy but a different way of thinking. Good luck and let me know.
Thanks for your honest feedback on this challenge. I’ve finally unsubscribed from Sammy’s list. I did week long free webinar earlier this year. A friend of mine spent the money and joined her program. Like I said to someone on here, marketing to artists is big business (for them, not us!)
It is Jaime and the reason is that we have putten so much time in our art and nothing in marketing. So we feel very uncomfortable in it. On the other hand, they did and as they are artists themselves they know how to teach us. I’m concentrating on the marketing side now to learn more about. Learn how to communicate what it is what I am selling. That’s our ‘language’ so to speak. Good luck and don’t give up. We can do hard things💪👍
I tried to research Dries- as he talks about success on platforms like instagram - only to find practically no instagram presence. He talks about galleries, but I can only find references over a decade old to him being in galleries. He talks about sites like saatchi - but i see no new art from him on there. So... I consider him less of being an artist and more having a business where he makes money from artists. Many of these online guru's are the same - overselling what advice they can provide. Their income is from us...not their art.
I follow him mainly on youtube. I haven’t seen much paintings of him also. Must say that I haven’t been looking for it. I appreciate the way he adresses selling art. It’s just like art itself, it speaks to you or it doesn’t. Do you have someone who’s advice works for you?
I'm happy to be the first to comment 😊👍 Just imagine creating a piece of artwork with that kind of a price attached to it, how nice!

I’ve noticed this too. Marketing promises to artists is big business. I’ve fallen for it a few times.
