Its a shame the last one doesn't have any lyrics, because it actually ties into and answers the questions asked in the first one
That gutted me. I wouldn't mind Knox reacting to the full song with lyrics in a new video, but the impact of a first listen and comparison with the prior 6 endings would be lost, so it's not worthwhile. Alas, take what we can get.

Yeah, also shows his conflicting nature. He wants to save life of him and his friends and he tells that to mikasa from opening 1. He also tells her that he cares for her and loves her but for him it is important that they all live.
If the world would have been normal, he would ofcourse live a normal life.
Eren is like a person who protects his people, his family and can go to dangerous lengths.
I also like that he knew he wasn't going to live long and therefore tries to push away mikasa because once he's gone, mikasa would be in pain. I believe that is the way eren shows love. Protecting his loved ones and ensuring that they live a happy life and free life and doing so by fighting the enemies and killing humans if needed so.
I guess this was also evident in season 2 finale when he says he will always wrap that scarf around mikasa.
Let's see what happens next and see if they provide erens pov so that we understand why he was pushing peeps away
It physically pained me when he didn't read the lyrics of Demon Child 😭 they're so beautiful and encapsulate Eren's character perfectly. Coupled with the visuals I'd argue is one of the best EDs of the series.

The crazy thing about the third ending is that it depicts events that haven’t even happened in the manga at that time. Season 2 aired in 2017 and chapter 122(the chapter about Ymir) was released in 2019 if I’m not mistaken, Isayama planned this from the start. It’s also entirely in English.
Yep. In time when season 2 drop out, Manga was on chapter 90-91(start of season 4)

What's even crazier, besides Grisha looking away towards adult Eren early in the series, is that you can see multiple frames throughout season 1 of some hooded guy chilling in the background and you even see somebody that looks like manbun Eren as well. This is even more farfetched, but in the chapter where Eren tries to punch Mikasa as a titan before plugging up the wall you can see 2 silhouettes in the background. Imagine Isayama intentionally included this stuff at the beginning of his series, that'd be so cool :)

The best ED is Shock if you ask me, feels like it perfectly encapsulates not only the tragedy of the series, but of war in general.

If you want check the full version for Demon Child ("Akuma no Ko", the last ending) with lirics whenever you finish the story. The lyrics hit hard
My favorite is Great Escape the second outro since I learned all the lyrics in Japanese but the Historia one gives the goosebumps and the third outro it’s just chilling af and I love it.
op 5 is one of the best ones since it plays so well with cliffhangers. the last line S3P2 episode 9 is the perfect example. the openng starting in the background and as the music swells up and we get this beautiful, mysterious but worrying line from Kruger.
Hey Knox if you want to read the lyrics I suggest reacting to the full versions of the songs. Many videos of them are made by fans that translate them, plus it would just be great to see you react to the full songs
It's strange how much an anime can express more sense of emotion then a movie with highly talented actors. My mom always asked me why you watch these "cartoons" I tell her these are not cartoons, and the emotional stuff you see in it is better then most movies.

But still gotta admit that some movies are more emotional than any other thing you've seen. The thing is, the movie you see as emotional is the one that you can relate to the most. Yes aot made me tear up some parts here and there.
Naruto had Alot of those feels moment's, and made you relate to the characters, even the guys you thought throughout the show were "bad guys", untill you start seeing the motives behind why they did what they did. Some were blatant assholes yes, but then you have the ones that did it for what they believed to be a just cause.

My grandma passed away recently and when I listen to that last ending, it sort of hit me as though its a message to forgive the sorrow that death has left us behind, because they will continue on looking after us as they are freed.

I highly recommend watching the fourth (Akatsuki no Requiem), the fifth (Name of love), and the seventh(Akuma no Ko) with subtitles and complete, since you know the story and do such great observation on the lyrics
In the future, be careful not to forget the subtitles again.

I believe that music has many meanings and messages behind it. Without the lyrics there is a feeling of emptiness, especially in this case.

The first one and the last two songs are my fav, the lyrics man I feel like crying when listening to those 3 and reading lyrics. And I love how the sentences "the world is cruel but still so beautiful" is in like 3 outro songs.

Analysing lyrics without subtitles and on Japanese is something I was not ready for. This man is insane...
Everyone is talking about how Yuguure no tori spoiled the story but nobody is talking about how the second ending also spoiled the story but was more subtle about it.
This ending has to do with what she feels towards Eren, just like one of the recent endings with Eren in a flower field has to do with his feelings towards her.
Is it just me? I personally think that the last ending song is my favourite.
that one song with the choir of children and the main vocalist named Akatsuki no requiem, and it is one of my favourite endings since it is perfectly interlaced with the meaning that season has related to the story

what's good about aot producer's music is....they're good at building the mood from a passionate opening song that gets us out to watch the anime and the tragedy in the anime is subdued with a light yet chilling ending song as if it gives us a breather for the next tragedy
