Why does everyone hate the polar express so much? I thought for the most part it was pretty good. Sure, some of the things were lacking and a bit awkward, but overall I thought the cinematography, sound design, and music were legendary! Obviously the game is quite the opposite.
I actually loved the movie. It's one of my favorites from my childhood, and the animation is really nice while also being stylized enough to set itself apart from other movies.
The scene where the train is on ice and going through the forest is still some of the most beautiful cgi scenery I've ever seen in a movie. It has such a distinct look, it almost reminds me of vintage Disney.

This was the first 3D video game I ever played when I was 6 and I was in LOVE with this game. Sure, some things don't hold up now. But, it was a fun introduction to 3D gaming with all sorts of different challenges to complete. No joke, I loved this game so much that I created my own versions of the conveyor belt levels using GeoTracks, legos, and snack bowls. My imagination went up to 11 as a kid and I wish I had that same kind of creativity and enthusiasm now as I did back then.
Heh, I actually think he's more attractive that way too. Which is odd because usually beards/moustaches, etc. are a turn off for me, but that may just be because although I can still be attracted to men I'm just not really *sexually* attracted to them even if the locals here in Utah yell at me over that but w/e.
