There's something so absolutely surreal about this game dropping YOU HAVE DEFEATED S C R O O G E like that's a very normal thing to say in The Polar Express
You have nothing remaining.
My favorite part of the Polar Express is when Scrooge said "It's scroggin' time!" and scrooged every kid in the train
@@crism8868 He did WHAT?
@@crism8868 scrooge no those are children!
@@crism8868 and that why there are extra portions available
If MY teachers dressed up as the joker and played me in tennis when I was a kid I would've never gotten disillusioned by the education system
What if that game of Joker tennis was 51% of your grade and you had to beat them to pass though?
@@MrxstGrssmnstMttckstPhlNelThot I would've happily accepted utter humiliation and a 30% avg
My biology teacher dressed as a bee and ran around our class sticking sticky notes to his butt to try and show us how pollination worked. It wasn't a one time thing either, it was basically an annual event.
@@Vitenoxi fair enough
I’d just like you to know that this is the first comment that popped up when I loaded into the video. So thank you for the utter confusion and amusement.
It's weird how the Ebenezer Scrooge marionette appears in the movie for only one scene but here it's the primary antagonist and it has an entire army of evil toys.
Honestly it should have been like that from the start.
Wait hold up shouldn't the army of evil toys be the homeless guys since he's the one puppetting the scrooge puppet
It’s like the one incredibles game but I doesn’t make sense
@@knuckallixyoboi9324 He just wanted to have a little fun. (At least we got the hilarious “no” noise)
Oh yeah and then in a later level he becomes giant and you have to hurl snowballs into his exposed heart while he tries to murder you.
I shit you not that actually happens a few levels down the line.
Penny’s absolute joy when someone sent her the sound file for the NAAARRR made my fucking holiday

There are plenty of games with hilarious voice acting, but this one must truly be special for Penny to laugh herself into hysterics at basically _every single voice clip_
Scrooge yelling *"Noooooarr!"* absolutely took me out. I didn't think the dramatic puppet proclamations of "no" could get better but I was proven wrong.
The Movie: "All the toys you see here were lost and neglected, and we transport them to Santa's workshop to restore each toy and give them to new, loving children."
The game like: "ScroogeMcPuppet evil. Y E E T the bear"
Can’t forget that ScroogeMcPuppet has an army of misfit toys 😂
26:37 was a very metal part that genuinely had me blown away by the voice acting and the heavy dialogue made up on the spot.
It sounds like something that would be in NieR Automata, which is where the background music is from.

I had this game as a kid. Never got too far into it because I was a dumb kid and the game never saved because my memory card was full and i just kept replaying the first level over and over again
Gonna go out on a limb and resolve you of any responsibility for not finishing the polar express shovel ware game
I remember when I first got a GameCube, the only two games I had on it at first where the Avatar the Last Airbender game (which is actually pretty fun from what I remember) and Shadow the Hedgehog. I would leave the GameCube on for days at a time in an attempt to beat the game without saving, but eventually my mom came in my room one day while I was at school and turned it off when I was on the second to last level of the game. It was that day I got home and broke into 8 year old hysterics, my mom finally understood the importance of a memory card. All that to say; Memory cards, am I right???
modern day sisyphus
Kafkaesque
the ending had me SOBBING during this stream,, the editing of this video does not fully capture just how surprising and hilarious that moment was when it happened in real time
Oh trust me it's still fucking hilarious, especially if you watch it in that state of tired that makes you all giggly. I just did and was laughing my ass off
@@PrinceEomer8102 fr it was like 3am for me when I watched this stream live so I think that made it even more HYSTERICAL 😭
NGL, the train format is actually kind of great for chaining random minigames together if they'd have pulled it off.
It's also made me think that maybe the best way to bring back Infinity Train is as a game series.
Absolutely yeah
or a gimmick for the newest Warioware game
Yeah snow piercer needs to become a rabbits collection
That would be GOAT
interesting artistic decision of the Polar Express game to include a soulslike segment, very avant-garde
That skiing section when Penny hit a tree and the camera continues to follow them as they slowly & unceremoniously slide down the mountain fucking sends me.
“Like having a bad nightmare about the movie”
This is so succinct and such a perfect description of games like this.
25:11
"have you done this before?"
"NOOOOOOO"
This entire game is Scrooge saying "he will never ballin" and then spitting out his cereal
"he will never play tennis"
Penny's character acting is so powerful, she inspires people to write stories. I should know, *I'm writing something based on that skiing segment with the Nier Automata music playing.*
All I could think of after reading this was the fact that track 1 of NieR Gestalt/Replicant's OST is Snow in Summer.
hows that going? im intruiged
I plan on referencing the “goodbye, bucket” segment of the Penny Parable video in one of my stories (it’s funny, but the character saying it is also named Penny)
I swear if its a Nier fanfic im losing my goddamn mind. I need an update so bad.

Nothing like Penny having a Christmas Joker moment to bring the holiday cheer!

She 101% says "use the arrows to train tracks" right or is my dyslexia getting to me
I always wanted an Infinity Train game. Now I finally found it
I like how this started as The Polar Express but penny made it into The Subway Midnight
Is that what the epic music from the end of the ski chase segment is from?
I mod for one of my friends on twitch and they played this game the day before Christmas eve. Here's essentially the rest of the game;
- Scrooge actually has a boss fight. He's a fucking giant and you have to throw shit at him to defeat him (there's also a "Christmas isn't about gifts" moral but that's irrelevant).
- The game actually becomes a ddr style rhythm game at certain points. I am not kidding. We had to sit through restarting the train engine and a knock off, trying-to-be-jazz, royalty free hot chocolate song (I was incredibly mad about the lack of hot chocolate song. Justice for hot chocolate song).
- First person shooter but you don't shoot anything you have to turn switches to match different colors
- Confusing ass gift maze (I can't explain this one but it made my friend actually start to go crazy)
- Try not to drop Santa's sack
- Abrupt ass ending. They make it to meet Santa and then boom. Ending.
So yeah. I think if Penny went further she would've gone full Joker.
Oh my god you predicted it
@@novameowww I am big genius brain
You were not kidding about the abrupt ass ending omfg.
@@marvmarv5629 i knowwww 😭 I actually yelled when I saw it lmao
they're blink and you'll miss it moments but my favorite thing all throughout this game was how the textures and models would just completely freak out and fill up the screen for like a split second. I think 11:37 has a pretty good example
The one thing I vividly remember from the movie is the hot choclate sequence

3:37 - my favorite part of The Godfather was when the guy woke up in his bed and saw the message "Congratulations! You've found part of a horse!"
I must have missed the part in the Christmas Carol where Scrooge gets bludgeoned to death by a little boy with kickballs. I think maybe the Ghost of Christmas Future left that out.
The Ghost of Christmas Yet To Come probably would've convinced Scrooge sooner that he was going to die if they showed him that.
Penny’s energy never fails to make gameplays 1000 times better ☠️
penny saying that movie tie in games are like nightmares about the movies they're based on is probably the most accurate description i've ever heard
I LOVE HOW THE "NOOUR" SOUND KEEPS PLAYING LMAOOODOOVFDDS
When she got sent that Narr file, I don't think i've ever heard Penny so delighted.
The full VOD of this one is so good too, the *buildup* to the Naur Automata segment was impeccable
I just fucking love how funny Penny finds everything, it’s a good day when I get to hear her laugh at the dumbest shit like it’s the best joke in the world.
Her laugh is so contagious the sound of it alone could convince me that literally anything is funny
Scrooge saying "Naur!!!" is killing me
8:14 I’d like to thank you for this bit because it took me tf out
This was one of the funniest things I’ve ever seen live. Merry Christmas to Penny and all!!!
That Skyrim bit had me dying for what felt like a whole minute lol, especially the part where the no sound effect replies to the guy's question
I had this game on GCN as a kid. I could barely understand the game, and could never get past the train chase thing, but I still have nostalgia for this
They turned the Polar Express into fucking Snowpiercer
I was miserable today, but Penny always seems to cheer me up uwu
as soon as i saw the thumbnail for this i said out loud "THIS FUCKING GAAAAAAAAAME"
12:55 - "Where we're going, we don't need tickets for admission!" *Sam Neill advances menacingly on the children, eyeless face glowering*
The soundscape is just "No way! I can't believe this!"
honestly you could make an entire highlight reel on the skiing segment alone that brought me to tears
Tangentially related, but I find it amusing that the train level in Uncharted 2 is simultaneously used as an indictment of cinematic action game design, and one of key points of the series and its gameplay. Like some people get really pedantic about a game being a corridor, about it limiting player options and making the gameplay a solved sequence where nothing matters, but also people really love trains and cover shooting with occasional wacky platforming and explosions and turret sections. But the most amusing thing is that so many games have had train levels before and after, to the point that when Penny asked, "where have I played this before" my mind raced to so many goddamn games that have a "Run to the front of the train while dodging the station signs" segment. Mirrors edge and Ratchet and Clank... fuck, even Metal Gear Rising ends its first mission on the top of a moving train.
i had the MOST fun watching this stream, the whole hot chocolate sequence was SO HILARIOUS and your energy was incredible. Pebby really is the greatest gamer girl of all time and i hope you had a beautiful christmas
The Boy is immune to man-made metal constructions but gets folded by a few toys being thrown at him.
I was not prepared for the nostalgia tsunami I just experienced looking at that thumbnail.
And also MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE ❄⛄💕🎉❄
" You look like a good sport. *me at tennis* " THAT DESTROYED ME!
I watched this when it was live. I was in hysterics when the kid went "this is awesome! WOAAAHHH-"! It's still hilarious now! I had to rewind it like 5 times because I couldn't stop laughing at that part
The coins disappearing too quick during tennis was a Special kind of hell
The real time fan dubs are funny and all, but Penny’s other content is why I really subscribed. 💖 Anyways, Merry Christmas to everyone, and to those who don’t celebrate it, I hope you have a good day anyways. ✨
Actually, it is a Baldwin 2-8-4 S3 Class Berkshire type steam locomotive
built in 1931 at the Baldwin locomotive Works it weighs 456,100 pounds and has a tractive force of 3,450 pounds
🤓🤓🤓🤓🤓
Love the different songs at the end. Putting "A Beautiful Song" to an incredibly mundane skiing minigame with terrible controls is incredibly underrated
That ending speech you gave was tear jerking.. thank you and merry Christmas 😤🫡
Hey, just started watching your stuff because of the Prime playthrough, and I wanted to say you're legit one of the funniest game commentators in my living memory. Keep up the good stuff!
Penny's laugh can cure holiday depression confirmed!
Can't believe we got a legit 100% real Penny Parker Tim Robinson crossover event, I was waiting for this all my life
I also have a rudimentary understanding of the bluey cast but you would definitely be the main girl herself, Bluey. Muffin is a typical three year old and I think Socks is one
can we talk about how the the only named child in the movie is Billy? Not even the main protagonist? what the fuck am i supposed to call this kid? Boy #1?
Uhh George Washington
This is exactly what I wanted for Christmas, thank you Penny!
"Have you done this before?"
"NOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!"
I have died.
You did not have to go that hard with the villain monologue at the end there but you did. thank you
Merry Christmas Penny! Thanks for all the vids and streams this year.
Merry Christmas, Penny! Thanks for all the laughs this year, I'm looking foward to even more!
There is something absolutely hilarious about the fact that the sound settings samples are BOTH music related, but the Sound Effects sample is clear as day while the Music sample is muffled and barely audible. The PERFECT way to determine the differences in the sound.
We all used to be whole until The Fire Nation attacked
TBH I’ve always found The Polar Express to be super fucking spooky and that’s why I liked it growing up. He keeps talking to a ghost. The actual city in the poles or whatever is built like a fever dream and is full of weird surreal really ominously cheerful looking industrialized Christmas sort of factory mechanisms. I fully believe that if those kids stayed on those conveyor belts they would have ended up in a fire disposal pit. And the city is so big and empty and echoing. They’re all just, in their pajamas and they don’t know what is happening they just got picked up in the middle of the night and taken away and I know that’s what supposed to make children excited because they get to have independence, but the whole movie is just a series of almost deaths. There’s a bunch of barely supervised children that are being taken away to a nightmare city I don’t know what to tell you. There’s that scene with the muffled oldies Christmas music in the background where the kids walk over these train tracks that have just a giant plummet under them and they could fall and die at any moment and their parents would never find their bodies or know what happened to them. Also I may be like. Insane. But aren’t all the conductors the same guy??? Are they clones?? That makes me question their autonomy and whether or not they should be allowed to be responsible for the lives of children I’m sorry. And the kids seem so confused the whole time they could be going to their deaths for all they know. And the uncanny valley doesn’t bother me on its own but combined with everything else it feels like derealization lol. ALSO THE SCENE WITH THE ICE CRACKING. THE WORLD OUT THERE IS SO DAMN PERILOUS IF THEY TRIED TO RUN THEY WOULD DIE SLOWLY AND IN THE BURNING COLD. I don’t why this was my take away from this movie I just got this really insidious vibe from it. Also I might just really like trains tbh movies that take place on trains are the shit. I don’t think I remember the rest of the movie only the empty near death experience scenes
If I had a nickel for every time that a creator I was subscribed to made a video on the Polar Express video game for Christmas, I'd have two nickels, which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice.
Who's the other one?
@@taffy6136I know both Connoreatspants and bumbles mcfumbles played this

Genuinely one of the most haunting videos I’ve watched in my life. Spectacular
Penny's laugh is literally one of my top ten favorites what a treat
That entire Skyrim intro bit made me lose my mind LMFAO-
So mad I missed this live but this is great, have a good holiday!
I wish I too had the blissful ignorance Penny did about the very real Scrooge puppet.
Which it was real. Admittedly the game makes him out to be a much bigger threat then he really is but there was a scrooge puppet in the movie and he was an antagonist. He was scary and haunts my dreams constantly
I had no idea Jerma had an equally deranged sister until now
I remember playing this game as a kid. I don't think I ever got past that hammer section and I can see why now.
I was there for the entirety of the stream, and I was very much not sober- lemme tell yeah it was an experience
ohoho a good way to chill on a good christmas day :] (the polar express is my CHILDHOOD; in elementary school, they would shape the desks like train seats, we would wear our pajamas, and they'd bring hot cocoa for us while we watch the movie!!)
"we found the One together" feels like the plot of the original Matrix
I am very glad this is the first 1440p upload on this channel.

The fact there’s a game for my favorite childhood movie baffles me.
How I managed to beat this game on a dinky PC when I was only 10, I will never know.
Edit: Actually, I can’t remember what age I was, but I recall being young enough that I shouldn’t have been able to beat the game at my current skill level
