Fancy cocktail bars are usually expensive. But I’m glad they exist because back in the 1980s and 90s, they were not that common and considered outdated from grandparents era.
Mace is a great option when you want to try one of these award-winning bars but are on a budget. They're currently 93 on the 50 Best List (yes, ironically there's a 51-100 extension) and they do a happy hour with select drinks for $12. The concept here is that every drink is inspired by a herb or spice, so really inventive cocktails as well.
My current favorite cocktail bar on NYC is 11 Tigers on Avenue B in the East Village. It has Thai and Japanese small plates and great cocktails. Not quite as expensive as some of these places, but very fun. I highly recommend it.
Went to Overstory one evening late this past September, and while it was FREEZING outside, we made the best of it and had the best server ever! That same night, SpaceX launched a rocket from Florida and it flew past NYC and the view of it was AMAZING from the Observation Deck at Overstory - and this event was totally coincidental with our visit! Drinks were excellent (but expensive) but the ambiance and service were exceptional, highly recommend, especially for a special event!
Nice video once again. I liked the way you went about this one. It was interesting to see. Of course you had to throw in a bit of a food review. It would be a Here Be Barr video without you trying something. Obviously going up in the world!! Eating Caviar (LOL). I love it and the food looked lovely. All three bars looked quality. New York dens lack for good bars does it. So not surprised it has so many in the Top 50. The views from some of them are amazing at night. Great work again and I am sure plenty of people take up these suggestions and give them a try although the first two are probably the most realistic to get into. Thanks.
I visited double chicken please in October, the key lime pie was hands down the best cocktail I’ve had in a while. They matched the true taste down to the crust.

Been to Tokyo as well, b4 the pandemic hits, and i am really impressed with the city, clean and very beautiful. Must try the Katana Kitten when we go back in Nyc.

TBH I can't tell the difference between a $50 drink and a drink from local bodega but I could see myself taking a girl there just for the aesthetics if I wasn't broke lol Although I've heard most bars, clubs in NYC allow white customers only. And even then they can kick you out so it all sounds too intimidating to me. I'd rather just ride my motorcycle here in the suburbs and meet some cool friends which is more in my comfort zone.
my man, all you gotta do is pinch the end of the shrimp tail and gently pull with teeth to take the whole piece out. it hurt me to watch that left over meat in the tail.
