I’m so pleased you like Collingwood! We used it in a basement with LED pot lighting and a grey carpet. The basement always felt like a happy place to be. But as I was in the paint store choosing some other paint an “interior designer” who was busy choosing wall paper got chatting to me and was quite disparaging about Collingwood. A pity that she couldn’t see it in our home as she might have changed her mind. Anyway, as a not very confident paint chooser, I found her comments unsettling. Thank you for all the positive vibes in your videos!
Liking Classic Gray a lot…I am looking for a main and coordinating colors very similar to this, but leaning a bit more “greenaige”. Would love your thoughts on or a color code on BM Hazy Skies/stingray? Thanks, love your videos!
Any or aunt depends on the persons name and how it flows. As far as classic gray, it goes with EVERYTHING. But my preferences are modern gray and shoji white.
Hello, Collingswood or Classic Gray... I have been going back and forth for a "window challenged" basement 30 X 25 in my new home .... I have a manufactured wood floor (golden/med brown) . I will use my large Chocolate brown sofa that looked great with my BM Silver satin paint in my old home with gray carpet) . I dont care about the undertone, I just dont want the floor to take over the room. The previous homeowner's paint colors have me spinning with concern about my choices.
I really like this combo of colors, and when you said Classic Gray, I didn't expect to. This is one combo that I could see using in my whole house, which I am actually getting ready to do. I like the subtle differences that give depth with the overall same feeling. Make sense?
With Dovewing my main house color I regret not painting one of my bedrooms classic gray instead of agreeable gray. Unless maybe using classic gray for another bedroom makes sense because it’s more of an off-white and in between Dovewing and agreeable gray would you agree James?
Would you use Classic Grey on the ceiling to match the walls if you don't have trim to paint white to separate them? Or would it be best to use Classic Grey on the walls and keep the ceilings white, even without trim? Does a vaulted ceiling change the answer? Thanks!
Here’s an interesting problem that I haven’t been able to find much info about. We just bought a house with tinted windows throughout. They look black from the outside and really cut down on interior light. We need to turn on lights throughout the day. Color tint on windows seems warm. What to do?
Any concerns with Classic Gray and Cloud White trim? We have a Calm primary bedroom with Cloud White trim (thanks for that idea!) We’re considering a Classic Gray primary bath and want to know if Cloud White will work on both sides of the door. Thanks!
Mr paint guy.i watched all the videos about this color and i agree i love it.however when i painted the kitchen last week it looks light white bluish 😲😅. Still is much better than the mustard the last owners had but still. Right now its not on my budget to take the brown backsplash and counters.help plzzz
Same!!! This color is so complicated to use, it showed the perfect light greige in my 2nd floor bathroom, but it looks very bluish and cool in the main floor living area, I was so surprised😂
I don't say it exactly like the insect, but not like awww nt either. Pretty sure at least 5 people just call me Auntie like awwwn tea, and 21 call me Aunt like the insect.
I don’t like the cool greys either. I’m painting two rooms Chelsea Gray and the 3rd room I’m debating on Classic Grey what do you think looks best with Chelsea Gray ?
My whole house is Classic Gray with Chantilly Lace trim. I absolutely love it.
I’m loving that Sparrow-gorgeous.

I know colors are supposedly subjective but whoever dares disparage Collingwood is objectively incorrect.
Great info on Dried Basil! Will have to check it out.
I would love a review on the eggplant family of colors, aubergine, plum etc.
Aunt like ant. I'm aunt Marg. Lol interesting colors in this. Thank you for sharing!
Longtime viewer, your channel helped me pick a current remodel palette. Thanks, and congrats on hitting 100k subs, well-deserved!
Awesome! Thank you!
I love Collingwood
I’m in love with this color and am thinking of doing a whole house paint over with it🖤- thanks for this! Our kitchen is Alabaster though so…??
Did you do it? I'm thinking of doing the same 😅 With a cheery faux wood floor.
@@mursur9717 no I got a samplize of it and it doesn’t work at all in this house- but I’ve used it a lot elsewhere. We are going with shoji white.

I say ant as in 🐜. I live in the American South. I love your videos! I've learned so many things.

Did you find a paint color? I too have brown furniture and tan carpet. I’m looking for a creamy, tan, taupe wall

Can you do some reviews on some of the pastel colors. The very light ones, undertones etc
At the beginning of the video, what is the dark grey color behind you in the background?

How to choose a soft blue that doesn't fade to grey in dim light. The blue that is slightly tart or bright. The English country manor type of color.

Bm classic gray or sw pearly white? My wife wants a warm super light greige

You should try to use light paint colors on your walls to help reflect the little light you're getting.
Can you do this kind of in depth video with PAPER WHITE?

I say ONT, not ant or awnt. These are all pretty colors but I prefer Collingwood and Sparrow.
What do you think of classic gray and evergreen fog?
which color coordinates better with hale navy, classic gray or stoneton gray
Does Classic Gray coordinate well with marble that has blue/gray veining?
Hello, what color gray goes with orange.
What would be a good accent wall color with classic gray? Same room!! I was thinking Collingwood but not sure if it will be too light
We used Chelsea gray with it and have been very happy with the two together!
@@annakoon5563 thank you so much!
Always sounds like he’s saying “muddy boards” and I find myself momentarily confused.
What undertones does classic gray have?
Just a TOUCH of red/purple.
I think that red, is for that it’s rosy.
Is it me or does classic gray look yellow to anyone else. My neighbor painted the outside of their house this color and it looks yellow to me.
I use both ant and aunt..." Ant" attached to a name "Ant Marion" though I'd refer to her as my "AUNT."

Gray? What? 😉
You just said you hated grey in another video
I’m not a big fan of a traditional ‘colder’ gray, especially when used in large doses.
I don’t like the cool greys either.

Oh I see my mistake, sorry 😞
@@debanda4504we used Chelsea gray and classic gray together and we’ve been very happy with the combo!
Ant. Awnt is awkward.
