At 64yrs old, I'm a bit late to the game but better late than never right? Upright elevators and harriers feel almost relaxing now, but inverted harriers, and especially rolling harriers are spooky. I'm working on the sim, trying to translate from sim to the real world, and can see that there is a corrolation between stick time and progress. I find your videos very informative and down right encouraging. Please keep them coming! I live in northwest Georgia, a little over an hour away from your favorite northwest Georgia field. Hopefully I'll bump into you one day.
Just had a 5 year break from flying and had my first flight last weekend. I was a little disappointed that my low and slow stuff wasn't as crisp and purposeful as before. This video has inspired me to set a goal to be better than I was by the end of summer 24. Thanks for the content
Ohhhh...
You’re very welcome and with the practice some a whole lot of wonderful times at the field. Enjoy the excitement of doing something new and watching your skills grow. Thank you for taking the time to provide such a kind complement. Happy landings.
If it were an instrument, you wouldn't practice once a week and show up to play a gig. But for whatever reason we don't treat this as a similar discipline and it really is!
100%! There is no substitute for real stick time. The sim is valuable, no question. But consistently flying for real is what makes the difference. I’m at the field 3 days a week most weeks. Sometimes more.

You’re welcome! I felt this old video content was worth sharing.
Thanks. Going through the same learning experience. First on the simulator and the with a new plane. One day at a time.
Baby steps and repetition. Over time it just starts to click and your confidence and skills will grow. Thank you for the support!
Thank you for the inspiration, sir!
My pleasure. We all start as beginners and grow from there. With this hobby, you will always have room for growth.
