- Since Netflix cancelled Daredevil three or so years ago we have been pretty down having to carry a big Man Without Fear hole in our hearts. But with the rumors about Daredevil returning to the MCU with Kevin Feige saying that the character will be played by Charlie Cox (we’re not going to talk about the No Way Home reports here as it’s still to early and you know, spoilers) we have gotten hope again and a level of excitement that once again we will see the character on our screens (and also it’s an added bonus that Cox is returning because he’s great).
But we thought this would be a good time to revisit the Netflix show and revel in its glory. The show was edgy, dark, gritty and just spectacular with phenomenal performances across the board. But seeing as this is still a Marvel show, it is also packed full of easter eggs, hidden details, subtle references and characters introduced who have secret identities. In this video then we thought we would go over 25 or so things you might have missed on the first (and even second or third) viewing. From tons of nods to the MCU and some of the biggest characters in the Avengers and events that took place, call backs to comic book storylines, hidden references to some of our favorite Marvel characters, to shady corporations subtly placed in the background. So, let’s head back to Hell’s Kitchen and the world of the Man Without Fear!

James Wesley was a great character, can totally agree.
sad he died, I thought he really complimented Kingpin's character.
I liked when he was at the bowling alley and waved to a family it seemed genuine like he truly is a NICE guy

James Wesley was so integral in introducing Wilson Fisk while becoming his own character. In a way, we know Fisk from his POV. And in turn, we know him from Fisk POV too. Daredevil was too underrated. People wasn't ready for such masterpiece. I like Disney's MCU series, but none could measure up to DD and Jessica Jones first season.
Best thing Marvel ever put on the screen. Just finished re-watching S1 & 3. I suspect a lot of people are watching or re-watching Daredevil right now
Yep, just finished S2 again, while the weakest of the 3 seasons, its still a blast.

Marvel didn't do it. It was fully Netflix production.
Oh and the real reason they put DD back in black is the production cost of a 2nd suit as well as how to do fight scenes between DD and B/E. So the path of least resistance was put DD back in black.
How'd you know? Just finished S01, S02 and The Defenders.

The best Marvel production to date. Season 2 drags a bit, but Season 3 is one of the best of any show ever. IMO
Season 2 was my favourite season from ANY TV show
Wasn't punisher in s2? Personally i loved it. The league of shadow on the other hand was boring( in every tv series they show up). But that's just me, i never liked those.
I liked season 2 more and personally didn't like season 3
The only reason season 2 didnt fit up well was cuz they tried to fit in The Hand plot for the Defenders. S2 woudlve been better if they either just focused on The Hand or just mainly focused on Frank Castle. Having both confused the story as we didnt know whether to focus on Frank's perspective and ideals against Matt's or the slow domination of New Yorkj City by The Hand.

As far as I know, bullseye can literally throw anything with extreme accuracy, but that's not the case for Hawkeye.

That's clearly not a lot.
Hawkeye is a weapons master.
His accuracy with bows involves a mastery of spatial geometry. Throwing weapons is easy with that.

As much as I'm looking forward to future DD, Kingpin and netflix marvel characters in general coming back I'm trying not to get my hopes up because for all I know Charlie Cox may be playing Ralph's cousin Ted..Ted Bohner

Netflix Daredevil was the best adaptation of any superhero comic character on screen period...
One of my favorite TV series ever....still hoping for a revival. I'm glad that it's being acknowledged more in other things though!

Daredevil is the most logical, fearless, humanistic & emotional hero character I've ever seen in any Marvel Netflix series next to Punisher & also those series really had villains with deeply plot human personality disorder background especially Wilson Fisk, Electra, Point Dexter and it becomes to an unpredictable evil mind freak, what an epic series
also, there’s a specific coffee cup that appears multiple times in the show, that coffee cup is the same as the one in the ending of nwh
The show will always be MCU Canon to me, maybe that's just me as a longtime fan of Daredevil I just loved all the stories they told in the series and everything about the show they perfectly captured the character, and now that both Matt Murdock and Kingpin have showed up in the MCU and they're not variants it's safe to assume the show is still loosely canon
Daredevil does not respect the canon by saying "New York is my city" so much though 😂

I don't understand how people don't know that Daredevil and all the other people from Netflix series are a part of the MCU
If you don't watch them all or just haven't yet, the connections aren't as clear or you're not sure what the they're connected to.
It's not been confirmed they are.
Well it's fractured. Blade in the mcu is Cottonmouth in the Netflix series of Luke Cage & he was killed so there is that.

James Wesley's character is what I imagined Will Blackwater from Futuristic Violence and Fancy Suits to be like.
People keep saying it's not part of the MCU proper, but Kevin Feige said in 2014, and I quote:
*"The Netflix series are leading to a Defenders series, and [Q asker] is asking about including them into the features at some point, because Infinity War is going to be big. There are a lot of people from the movies in Infinity War. A lot of it is about space, and a lot of it is about just what happens between now and then. But all of those things inhabit, however far on the outskirts, the same continuity. So certainly that opportunity exists."*
The same continuity, he said, and a lot of things have indeed happened between then and now, and they ultimately didn't find the space for the TV characters in Infinity War, but I don't believe he's ever taken those words back. He may have gotten a bit more vague about it over the years, but I have never heard him say that the MCU and Marvel Television are separate continuities. The idea has always been that they *could* cross over, but it was just easier one way than the other because movies take longer to develop and it's harder to sync things up far in advance than to just have the faster department respond to the slower department. Now that it's all one department, anything goes, as we're starting to see. It's all connected.

I was shocked when they killed Wesley so soon, he was a great character.

And the last thing y'all said isn't even miss-able, Fisk tells Vanessa his past then she dresses him and picks the cufflinks he wears in the end as opposed to his father's.

Saving for later. I'm rewatching the universe and just wrapping up DD season 2. I stopped after Defenders since next was JJ season 2. And I wasn't too excited with not having one of my favorite actors around anymore.

What do you think is the best thing about the Daredevil Netflix Show?
The fact that it exists.
All of it. The writing, the character development, the acting (not just Mr. Cox who embodied DD like I never thought I would see in my lifetime, but everyone, it's difficult to find a show where all the actors are great). The cinematography, amazing... some scenes I watch and rewatch, and always get the same pleasure; the camera angles, the colors, the light; they are delighful to any movie lover; and I don't even mention the oners, which are a hallmark. The stunts, world class, no CGI, real people. The music. The many nods to the comics fans. The fact that there was a permanent consulting in the writers room with the people who actually write the comics. They cared, and you can notice that they cared. They wanted to give us something good.
I can't tell how much I love that show.

I think bullseye wins cuz he is more accurate "he was able to kill a woman 100 yards away by flicking a toothpick" plus he has super powers higher strength and speed than idk i only watched the daredevil series and wanted to know who would win hawkeye or bullseye.

If you watch the 80's Hulk movies Thor and Daredevil appear. In fact Daredevil wears the black outfit. Not great movies but still entertaining.
