Hi everyone! What grade (out of 10) would you give this video?

Entertaining, well contextualized, quality is on par, id say is a 9
9....great character. The type of movie that you could watch over and over.

I like how the title implies Tom Cruise himself did it.
Well in fact he is a certified pilot man, I mean he owned a P-51 Mustang
While training for this film he literally flew cocaine across the border for the mexican cartels
@@mrjorma67u tell em’
you like that he used a clickbait title? come on man

😂 He knows he missed his chance to eat a lot of cheesesteaks.
I wish Tom Cruise did more drama, not just action. What a great actor.
tell that to jackie chan too
@@FromBKI while were at it, someone tell Mark Wahlberg enough comedies and true stories... make a drama thriller like Shooter or Departed... People need it lol
I definitely agree with you.
He used to be a very good drama actor, specially when he was in 90's.
action films make more money. he needs it to fund scientology marketing budget
@FromBKI He cab hardly speak English 😂He needs to stick to comedy!
What a very understanding group of men. They even playfully bet at the end. Good stuff.
Well, they killed a lot of people
Jorge bet against him (crash) after giving him the cross for good luck

As a pilot, I appreciate how realistic this scene is. The stall warning caused by a plane loaded out of limits, was awesome. Tom cruise is a light airplane pilot himself, and wouldn’t let this scene look all wack.
far over that the man fly's fighter jets not just small aircraft
The accuracy is mainly because it wasnt CGI, they didnt even tell Cruise about acting, they actually just happened to secretly film Tom Cruise on his daily day which happened to be him flying a 1500 point over-max-limit cessna for the columbian cartel
the only thing they missed is starting the run without flaps and then deploying the flaps a couple of knots before rotation
I feel like the most unrealistic part was people not trusting the pilot on weight limit….
You don’t have to be a wanabe pilot to know that this is super basic knowledge
"christ will keep you safe amigo" *immediately goes to make a bet with pablo that his plane will crash* lol
Well it's a way to a win win situation. If the plane crashes, he loses faith but gets some cash, if it does not, well Christ is one hell of a cocaine enthusiast.
"Yo apuesto por Barry" means "I bet for Barry", meaning he bet on Barry making it out of the runway safely.

How’d you figure they said that?

I don't know why when everyone stares into the plane and the guy says "But there's plenty of room, Gringo", that makes me laugh every time
even i said the same thing at the floor tiles shop about making 2 trips to my house to deliver.
Say what you want but tom cruise is probably the greatest movie star ever created. Look at only his movies and his performances. Leave all other stuff out of it. Dude is amazing
I agree honestly. Regardless of who is is as a person i'm a huge fan of his acting, stunts, etc. he's so diversly talented its unreal 😂
i agree and can say that about a lot more because i can make the choice of separating the art from the artist. Never meeting your heroes and also never look for the skeleton in the closet because we all have them.
Either you‘re a Scientologist or you‘re not aware of all the great movie stars that were present in mid 20th Century
glad you said movie star and not actor
@@wotmate3719 not a scientolgist. I'll wait while you compile a list of actors with a better resume than Tom.
Brave from Tom to make this documentary of his days of drug smuggling
There's nothing brave about that, he's a protected actor living in Hollywood. Diego Luna making narcos is brave, in the current narco atmosphere and living in Mexico City.
Hadn't realised how funny this film is at first look. This is great stuff
One of Tom Cruises best films!. It's not the plane it's the pilot..
I also like how he didnt play the usual action hero like in most of his movies.

That "pablo escobar" is one of the best actors in colombia. Mauricio Mejía. Once he played someone from the north of Colombia, my region. It was so freaking realistic. He can play music in words.
Also played young escobar and one of the Castanos in Narcos and Patron del mal
I thought this actor was Samoan living in the USA? There's a Pablo Escobar that was played by a Samoan actor.

love the beginning he was like "just some poor entrepreneurs into a new joint venture" 😂
He's come a long way since flying the Darkstar
If I had a dollar for every time Tom Cruise’s character is a pilot that has to take off from a short runway, I’d have two dollars. Which isn’t a lot but it kinda weird it happened twice huh?

What about every time Tom cruise didn't know who he was, where he was or what he was doing?
You would have a lot more
Tom Cruise probably did this in real life
He did, this is a documentary
IN PLAIN AND SIMPLE ENGLISH WITH AN ACCENT OR NOT 🚫 THIS IS 🥇 GOLD 🥇
Maverick: It's not the plane. It's the pilot.
Here it's high altitude & short runway.
This is a true story, slightly embellished for the film but basically true nonetheless. What is very strange to me is that when the pilot betrayed Escobar he knew perfectly well there would be severe reprisals, yet he went on with his life as if it were all back to normal oblivious to the inevitability of a hit. Now that was STUPID!
He was actually a pilot (and working for) for Roger Reaves..it was Roger who had the Pablo connection..Not Seal.
@@markherring3513 true. Nevertheless he was part of the chain. When I was in the game, the whole chain from cutting to distribution became fair game if implicated in a betrayal. I lucked out big time. I worked in the USA during the eighties. Lots of heroin and cocaine shipment chains, one of which was betrayed, and I was on that chain. I got out, and they didn’t follow me. Lucky.
I rewatch this part so many times, bcoz of their funny conversation and that short runway makes pilot even more challenging.
It's not the plane it's the pilot.

So, this is what Maverick was doing in his off time . . .
one of the man disgusted that the plane made it 😂😂😂😂
That was a good scene. I want to see this movie.
Sad backstory. The day after filming was finished, the plane Cruise’s character flew, was destroyed when a careless local pilot slammed into the side of a hill trying to scud run due to poor weather. Unfortunately, on board in the backseat was a very famous helicopter and plane pilot for the movies, whose flying skills and camera systems were used in movies like the Transformers. Amongst many others.
May they rest in peace😢

In high school I thrift shopped at the Salvation Army where he was basically sentenced to death. They put him up in the Pines Motel in just about the worst part of Baton Rouge and believe me, there are a bunch of bad places in Big Raggedy.
