It's not really reliable getting a man with a mobile phone to register the result 😅. I would rate it as accurate as about + / - 1 second. Lets guess they probably did it in the same amount of time. But it was fun to watch
Design wise, the S Class is still a looker! The weird coupé (hunchback) lines from the EQS makes it look like a cheaper, regular car. Like a Mondeo! (no offense to Mondeo's owners)

I think that the EQS performance was nothing short of amazing! So much heavier, and over 100 hp down on power compared to S 500, and still quicker around the lap!
Well, it's electric so there is instant power delivery not to mention that despite it being heavier the center of gravity is much lower, giving it the superior handling. Although take the lap time with a pinch of salt cause that .2 seconds could have just been the bloke pressing the stopwatch that much slower
Exactly! Finally someone who acknowledges how well the EQS did without focusing only on the looks (which I don't mind tbh). From what I saw it handles better than the s500 and it's just as comfortable, if not more. In terms of safety and technology it's probably superior and as for interior space it's up there with the S class, maybe with an even bigger boot. The only thing that the S class has over the EQS is looks (according to most people anyway)
@@icydelight3693 well the car is shorter, and does not provide the level of comfort to rear seat passangers the way the S class does, and I also think the EQS looks horrendous, but it is what it is. It did do well and just from the outside shots you could see how much better the turn in was and how much earlier he was able to go out of the corners. If you still want a long range luxury car to travel great distances with there is still nothing better than a diesel S class

Correct me if I am wrong but the brake test its supposed to be from 70mph but in the S Class at 7:49 it shows 80mph on the dashboard when he brakes so if the dashboard is accurate then the S class would have stopped less than 45m if Matt was driving at 70mph?
@@mediatedsword2170 Hmm I haven't seen it on other brake tests but for this one and the previous review he did about these 2 cars I felt like they were sponsored reactions so that the EQS looks like the better car even though from what he was saying on the previous review the S Class was on par or sometimes a bit better than the EQS
@@stathistsk The most recent I spotted was the escalade review. You can see that he’s going 68mph instead of 60mph. Not such a big deal after all, but I just think it makes the test a little invalid if u really want to compare it to other cars.

For me i would take the 400D ❕ It's my favorite engine from Mercedes Benz. 6 Zylinder Diesel inline, with 700 Nm torque.
