Awesome flying and review, Nick! 😃
Pretty fantastic little quad indeed! FlyWoo is killing it!
Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
Another great video Nick, thanks.
Looks like a fun quad
This little quad looks like a blast!
Looks very well thought out…….. I’m impressed with Flywoo.
Ah been working crazy shift and time to catch up on some Nick Burns content. Cool quad, I've never flown a flywoo BNF but they always keep it fresh, especially lately.
Cheers mate.
i love these small quads!!!°
Great flying and great review
Looks like a solid little ripper!
Great review and as always - you make them all look fun to fly 👍👍
Thank you. Different levels of fun.
Looks great, thanks Nick 🙏
Very nice flying !
i just hit the lotto and got one of these in a bundle deal with a buddy! the firefly with a naked vista, another nazgul evoque f5X, and a protek25 pusher...all with dji for 300 total! talk about a lucky score!
Gday Nick, very cool micros nice flying, good crashing lol, i would definitely go for the awsome hex as i dont own a hex of any size lol, great work mate.👍🛸
Awesome riping ur flying style is my goal to learn
This lil quad looks like sooo much fun impressive to hold a naked go pro !!! Happy flying mandaloooo ( send it in Spanish)
Think the quad looks amazing. I am still reluctant to ordering anything from Flywoo with an "expected" shipping date after how they treated their customers with the 4 inch LR, but I have to admit that when they do deliver, they do great stuff.
Yeah I had to wait for ever for explorer. But since then every thing been fast. Got the hex and hex nano with no wait
Great video Nick. Makes me want to try the hex with the naked DJI.
Looks like it could be a fun freestyle quad. Personally already have a similar one, that I'm upgrading, so would probably go for the hex. To carry an external camera, or an HD system/other sensors that can be turned off to save power, and still be somewhat compact. For doing aerial surveys. But there's tonnes of people who would like this over the hex as well.
Great review and comparison.
I love the smaller ones 😎👍
What’s that mount for the SMO? Not sure is that was the link to it but I can’t find it. Not sure what mount in general works with that drone. Thanks in advance!
I have one FrSKY receiver left. The rest I’ve moved to Explrs. Affordable and issue free
What do you use as a remote
@@ChrisParayno i sold my Tango2 and bought a Jumper T-lite.
Fits my hands much better.
Hi Nick , for a dji micro small ripper both valid for indoor and outdoor which one you recommend: thinking p16, beta 75/85x , alpha 75/85 or flywoo firefly hex or quad? Maybe another? Thx
I ordered the hex. I already have a TH2FS, simply just getting a slightly smaller quad doesn’t make sense to me. It just doesn’t add anything new to my fleet.
I’m gonna put my naked gopro on the hex, which is another reason to get that one: more oomphf on a tiny thing.
Don’t own a hex yet, and it’s just damn cute. I sometimes take my little nieces as passengers, and I’m sure they’ll love the hex!
I’m looking for a fun winter drone that I can fly inside and around yard. Would this be a good pick? Great reviews!!
Nice review! Would love to see a review on the Baby Nazgul.
I’ve been just flying indoors with whoops only and been wanting to venture outdoors and I think I wanna get this one as my first outdoor quad, it looks so cool to me 😁
Nah.. go with a toothpick style quad, like a Tinyhawk freestyle 2 or the new Betafpv hx115 toothpick. Or possibly the TKS rocket race that Nick really likes. They are so much fun to fly around outside and the power to weight ratio is awesome. So much better then a whoop.
If getting firefly. Get the hex
You definitely want a tiny hawk 2 freestyle. Not this.
You guys got me really rethinking this 😅 and thanks for the suggestions
@@Fr3ud No problem bud, I have 11 different quads at the moment and honestly my tinyhawk freestyle is my favorite one to fly around the yard outside. Tons of power but still light enough to not damage anything I crash into. It's kinda perfect.
Always a so nice review. i am so glad you teach me the whoops . i love them as much as my 4in. i hope one day the liftoff put your yard in for the sim likes jb. i want to fly there.
How can we start a petition to get NB's yard Put on a sim for micros a whoops?
@@jhughes2286 I wil try to send an email to the liftoff company. Let's see what they will answer
Hi Nick YEP I want one. I really like the size of this. Actually I was wanting to get the Hex-nano, I just don't see a reason why to order the Hex-nano GPS, INAV , I still don't have any GoPro cameras, I still crash to much for it to last. Thanks again for the video and information.
I love your videos
Wonder how this would fly on 2S with Flywoo Robo 1202.5 11500Kv
16:14 I agree 100% with you Nick! Great job on the both flights and the review as well I would pick up the flywoo Hex with the vista but I seen in some places some people has been complaining about latency.
I believe the latency issue is due to the camera nebula nano, I think the lowest latency on that camera is 32ms, and goes up from there.
@@NickBurnsFPV couldn't you swap it out for a nebula pro? Thanks Nick. Great review🤘🏼
.....On the HD version
@@urodinofpv3313 I think the nebula pro will take a mod to mount. Its a wider 19mm mount vs the 14mm of the nano.
@@NickBurnsFPV Good point. It may not even fit in between the front standoffs.
could I bind that naked Vista to the DJI remote (not the fpv controller the black one that cost like 300$🤔) instead of having to stall a receiver.
yes, but we need to purchase the correct version for that, the option would have dji or vista for the control link.
i had a bad experience with their customer service and technical. But the quad is cute and powerful enough to do freestyle. but putting a go 2 makes it a cruiser
My hex gets heavy with go2. I could imagine the baby. Damn. I got the inav one and I'll swap back and forth camera mount and gps
Hi Nick, congrats for another great video. A question. Without SMO 4K or naked gopro, would I be able to fly with an 850mah 4S battery? I have a lot of them.
Yes, we can use that battery, it will fly like the flight in the video with the naked go pro as that weight would be similar.
@@NickBurnsFPV tks
Question: This or the diatone F1?
Hey nick I was hoping you could help me with you pid setup on this quad. I haven’t saved the factory setting and I’ve been trying for quite some while trying to get it into proper tune I’m almost there.it’s just been pushed to the side for a year now. Before the motors sounded terrible straight out of the box with lots of vibration and now there a bit better but get quite hot. Any suggestions or a little copy of Your tune would be greatly appreciated. Thank you
The tune I fly in the video is the default tune for this quad from the factory. These are the cli dumps for it depending on version you have. flywoo.tawk.help/category/cli/firefly-16-baby-quad/firefly-16-baby-quad-hd
@@NickBurnsFPV thank you for responding. 😃
Is this still a good quad for 2024 ??
HI Sir, is the ANALOG+ELRS SPI 2.4G Version of this can use with JUMPER T-PRO Controller with ELRS INTERNAL 1000mw ?
Thank you in Advance.
Any ELRS rx can work with any ELRS radio. They both need to be on the same version of the firmware, which we can flash.....likely have to, to be sure both are on the same version.
Hi Nick, other pops here. I gotta say I hate your lawn, it’s to green and it makes me a bit envious. LoL hope you know I’m teasing you. It looks great. Good work. I am in the simulator almost daily so when I get good enough to go outside with Nickie (what I call my cinewhoop25…….thanks) I won’t destroy my drone. Keep up the great work, your you tube movies are tops. Sincerely, Other Pops
Post Script: I can’t wait to send you a flight video. You started our (Grandma an I) hobby off with a bang. Yes she likes it also.
hey others Pops. I am pretty happy with how the lawn is holding up, I hope it continues. Downside is we have to mow fairly often :) I am looking forward to your first video, keep practicing. It will come with time, then one day it starts to click in where we no longer have to think about what we need to do...our finger seemingly operating independently to our brain.
I'd go with the hex if someone were to hand me money to buy one. It just has the extra oddity factor, the quad is cool but pretty standard
This is a neat little quad, I like the hex wayy more , I'm struggling to understand what genre this little baby fits into? Basically it seems to be a naked GoPro carrying cinewhoop without prop guards (or at least good ones).
If I have to make an arguement for its classification, I would say "jack of many trades....".
Hi Nick I'm new to the FPV hobby
As I'm new I want to fly the quad slowly
so what should I do?
lower the fpv camera angle, this naturally keeps us from going fast.
I can’t don’t those mounts. Any links or advise where to find them? Just got that drone and thinking about getting the SM0 4k. Looking for a mount to that drone as well as maybe to a GoPro mount also Thanks!
Have you checked the flywoo website? flywoo.net

@@NickBurnsFPV looking now. Trying to figure out which one it is and how it attaches to the drone
Probaby silly, but I like the way this one looks! 👍
we buy on how stuff looks all the time, not silly at all.
Hi Nick, me I prefer hexa 😉
Just protect lens good 👍
Please let us know where you purchased your 1.5mm drill bit. Can’t find anywhere
Most reliably on tinywhoop.com or look for 1.4mm drill bit on aliexpress.
Have you seen the new firefly baby nano? Ultralight with 8mins flight time on 1s?! Sounds pretty neat!
I have it, but the review isn't ready. You know me, I gotta get my 30+ flights in. :)
@@NickBurnsFPV looking forward to the video on it! I'm definitely interested in picking that one up as well. Im a sucker for These 20-30 gram quads.
Hey Nick just wanted to let you know Ciotti FPV referred to you as the greatest micro whoop reviewer in the world on RUclips and I have to say I agree.👍
Holy catfish. That is high praise. I will have to thank him. And thank you for letting me know. I shall sleep tonight with a smile :)
@@NickBurnsFPV your hard work does not go unnoticed my friend. Keep up the great work you do for all of us. We really need honest guys like you. You are very respected in this industry.👍
Great review! now iam wondering if this one does fly better than that diatone f1 i think it was? And if the hex would do better in freestyle i would go for the hex plus i like that its different.
O and i like the build quality of flywoo! Looks really good.
f1 with or without prop guards?
@@NickBurnsFPV without prop guards.
@@airdevil21 The tune on the F1 needs work, but its not terrible. Both without prop guards have similar experience, but you will have a chance to judge for yourself as I will have an f1 video out somewhat soon.
@@NickBurnsFPV oke thanks. Looking forward to that review👍
woudl you say this is good for a beginner coming off a beta fpv centus pro?
looking to get a tiny drone like this but that can also hold my insta360 go2...i was also looking at the pavo30 but watched 1010101 vidoes on youtube so confused what to get. I just want to whip around my house and sounding area recording and have fun. I have the meteor 65hd by beta fpv and i think my unit was broker ESC failure second the drone got off the wrong it would go crazy.
Are you flying the cetus pro in acro mode? I would suggest sticking with that until you get fairly comfortable with stabilization off.
@@NickBurnsFPV ok sounds good I had been flying in sport mod
I just noticed that they also gave a real battery strap this time instead of that crap strip of velcro they gave us on the other versuons
The silicone strap is an "extra" option I believe.
@@NickBurnsFPV should be a standard option... I ended up picking up some 8mmx100mm diatone straps that are just almost too short, like could be a good 20mm longer
Sir please can you give me a copy of pid tune for this quad bcoz mine is uncontrollable, if you move to the right or left it will move fast even a tiny bit of touch😖, i almost gonna sell my quad
My friend has the hex version, it seems to suffer from rx loss quite regularly using the same rx; frsky XM+. Did anyone else find the same problem?
In mine I have expresslrs, no rx loss issues. xm+ doesn't have the range or penetration that expresslrs has.
@Nick Burns yeah, definitely. I also just discovered that with the vtx powered, the 2.4ghz link is adversely affected. On such a tightly packed hex, I'm not sure how to separate them so they aren't interfering.
I hear you on the FrSky thing but literally take less than 2 mins to flash the firmware. I have done it on many rxsr when I updated the firmware on my Taranis.
Sure, if someone has done it before its a quick operation. If someone hasn't its unlikely the have the servo connector needed to plug into the radio. Then after they have acquired that, they have to learn how to flash the firmware. Major barriers for those trying to get into the hobby. I have helped or tried to help many. Some fight through some don't.
@@NickBurnsFPV the rxsr comes with the servo plug
@@roberttruesdell6151 That is true, but not if it comes with the quad :( And the manufacturers don't check or test the firmware...generally.
this one looks cool... go flywoo again. However, I think i like the hex better, only because it's a hex and your first and mine too.
I honestly dont find myself flying it much tho as i have the inav version and waiting on gps kinda sucks (unless you get the v2 gnss receiver)
Can't we disable the wait for satellite before arm issue?
@@NickBurnsFPV absolutely, there are actually 2 ways, one you have to set up and the other is a default bypass.
arm and disarm 10 times then arm is a default bypass, or go add the allow_bypass = on in CLI and use low throttle, full right yaw and then arm.
and I said all that out of memory so the cli command might be wrong but you get the jist
You always talk about bent motor shaft but I've never had one bend on me!
What motors are you using? Maybe you found a magic brand?
excuse me! What are all the things you used in the video?
Hmm. Well, the quad, the go pro hero 6, the radio is the jumper t-lite, batteries are shown in the video. The goggles are orqa fpv.one with rapidfire module, two axii antenna.
Was this tuned or out of the box flight
Yes, For reviews of BNF quads I always use the pid tune the manufacturer supplied on the quad.
🤠👍
I really wanted this but feel like it has terrible durability... so I am passing on it. I like the size, but I think I would just rather have the hexacopter. What we really need is a true micro digital video transmitter for DJI, the naked vista on this is a really nice attempt at a 'bridge the gap' solution in the meantime as it doesn't appear one is on the horizon from DJI anytime soon... 😥
I am also skeptical that DJI/Caddx will have a smaller vtx anytime soon. I am not sure they are even remotely interested in the development. We haven't seen vtx changes since the vista.
@@NickBurnsFPV I am too. They’ve not shown any interest in updating the FPV system side of things at all so we might just be stuck with what we have. And with chip shortage you are lucky to just even be able to acquire a caddx vista with nebula pro at all right now, for a pretty price $... they are likely not even thinking at all about new products that they probably can’t deliver in quantity.
Have you tried it with a 750mA?
No I don't believe I did. the bigger the battery the more throttle we have to use to lift the weight of the battery. So bigger battery doesn't always lead to more flight time.
Is this the fr16 or dc16?
Its neither. This is the quad flywoo.net/products/firefly-1-6-baby-quad-hd-v1-2-micro-drone-w-polar-nano-vista-preorder
Id take the hex , more carrying capacity and it looks waaaayyyyy cooler 😎
Yup. I've put big batteries on it and flew over 10mins
It’s definitely cool, just worried that there are more props, motors, and ESC’s to break
👍🏽
FLYWOO! YES, YOU! 40MM PROPS ARE TOO SMALL FOR THE WEIGHT.
Just because you can, doesn't mean you should. Use 2" or 2.5" props, it'll fly much better.
If only it was 2inch prop.. cool idea tho
The weather here in NH sucks, rain or wind
Dang, surely there will be some weather breaks coming.
Is buy the hex. Because I am not likely to ever build a hex or have one any other way :)
This looks like a beefed up version of the Gnarly Guppy that came out like in 2017 or something.
or the gnarly sub atomic?
The hex would be the one.
Why do I feel like there should be five standoffs and not three?
There is space between the props, but the frame design doesn't allow for it. Also i think that would add 2+ grams and shorten flight time.
Hit that tree gap near your seat
👍👍👍🇮🇩
Man those punches over the house looked disappointing for 4s
Sure, 40mm props only produce so much thrust.
FINALLY!!! FIRST!!! AND ON MY FAVORITE RUclips CHANNEL!!!
Looks like a nifty little bird! Let's see your opinion at the end
Its...meh. I dont know, just doesn't seem worth it
