- Flywoo has released the Firefly Nano Baby v2 in two frame types: True X, and Deadcat. There are advantages to each one. In this video, Kris describes what it’s like flying each quad, what he did to get them set up, what problems he encountered, and which options provide the best flying experience.
Flywoo has been known to release CLI command updates to be pasted into the Betaflight configurator to update the quads, and they actually made some great improvements with these Firefly Nano drones, as described in this video.

Great review Kris and nice flying! Thanks for sharing!
Great review Kris. Some pretty trick flying in there.
You did an awesome job Kris ! That was great flying too !
Thanks, Jeff! 👊
Brilliant Content I have bookmarked it, when I receive my firefly FR16 this video will help me with the setup, Thank you so much for all your hard work on your content, you earned my sub!
Outstanding review Kris. Thanks for sharing I’m gonna be getting one ☝🏻. I need a tiny one
I hear you have a tiny one, Mike.
@@107drones 😂😂😂👌
I’m convinced that what we are seeing can be fixed with a good pid tune. Is there a pid tune doctor in the house? 🤔😁 really good review Kris 😉👍👍
Thanks, Gordon. And yes, I agree regarding the PID tune. 👊
Fun to watch you do this review, #awsome
Nice review. Thanks.
Kris, great #1sPower drone review. Thx
Great review, These Flywoo drones look great #1sPower
Cool Fpv drones 😎
Hey, nice sum up. Thank you
Absolutely! Thanks for checking it out.
Great job Kris!!! I might have to try the Walksnail edition
Thanks, Kai. I hope people pay attention to my binding phrase. 😉 12:06
@SunriseWaterMedia I can't help but to agree with your binding phrase
Well presented my friend , regards
Thanks, Steve.
Is there really that much difference in flight characteristics between FR and DC?
Great detailed review
#1sPower
Can we install better (what u recommend?) antena on analog version?
Great review wish i had the skills to fly one of these lol
Thanks so much, Johnny. These are a lot of fun to fly, but the setup can be frustrating, sometimes.
what happens if you freestyle with the DC version, you get alot more propwash? or is there power lacking?
Our DC 16 had an HD Zero video system, and it didn't feel as nice/smooth as the analog, so I don't know if simply that alone was making the difference in flight experience, but aside from camera shake issues, there was definitely more propwash on the DC16, but it had plenty of power, but only with the 750mAh battery. On the 450 battery, it was no good.
@@readysetdrone i have an analogue DC16 model and it works quite well. I think it's the added weight of the digital transmitter on these things... just too small for digital it seems like.
do you find that the analogue camera is kind of washed out on this drone? mine seems way brighter than it should be, but maybe I'm not used to small cameras on 1s drones yet. my Mobula 6 seems to do a better job of handling ambient light though.
At 7:35 I did an outdoor to indoor camera exposure test, and it seemed great on our unit. What do you think of that clip?
I haven't flown my Mobula 6 recently, but I don't feel that it's much different. Perhaps your particular camera is defective or just has a factory setting that's different. Definitely contact Flywoo if you're concerned about it. I'm curious if the exposure can be changed on it.
@@readysetdroneyours looks a little better than mine. i am also on DJI goggles with an analogue adapter (foxeer wildfire module) so idk if that makes any difference either. mine *seems* to be more grainy, but i could just not be used to it. or my expectations for analogue cameras are too high 😂
my HD Zero goggles are coming monday, maybe it will look nicer on those.
Nice! Are you getting the analog module bay for the HD Zero Goggles? Analog looks much better with HD Zero goggles, at least I think so. ruclips.net/video/f5MEggiyusI/видео.html
@@readysetdrone yes! i got the antenna bundle deal and the analog module for the same price as just the goggles. had to jump on that deal!
will probably buy a TBS Fusion at some point. the foxeer isn’t bad but i like that the fusion has active support and updates.
That's awesome! I missed the deal. Darn!
Very detailed, i need to get one of these. How did you like hdzero?
We have had mixed results with HDZero. Depends on the quad.
I really liked the analog one better, in terms of flight performance. The HD Zero version wasn't bad, and of course the image quality is nicer, but that analog one flies so well.
Is it safe if i just use bt2.0 battery with this a30 plug? The bt2.0 fits tho, but is it safe, once again?
It's fine to do that.
Cli link is dead :( my x frame has the 3 blade and 4 blade props. Do you think i have the updated tune already? I just got it a today from a usa dealer.
Thanks for the comment. That was the direct link to the flywoo Google drive, but I have saved the command and put it in a Google doc. See if that new link in the description works for you.
Worked. Comparing my dump to your link only difference is mines 4.4.2 and set dterm_1pf1_min_hz = 75, set dterm_1pf1_max_hz = 150,set dterm_1pf1_static_hz = 75, set dterm_1pf2_static_hz = 150
I'm honestly to new to flying to even know the difference 😂
I contacted Flywoo and they gave me this new link, if you want to check it out.

Firefly nano baby dc16 hdzero or the Firefly nano baby dc16 walksnail. Which one do you think has better camera quality
I'd say walksnail. HD Zero is reminiscent of analog... Sort of an "analog plus" experience.
@@readysetdrone thx so much i had a tough time desiding which one has a better camera i am subing now
Looked like a lot of. #1sPower
I almost messed up posting before the end! #1sPower
google drive is not working anymore. My Firefly 1s came with broken VTX, 5meters and black flickering screen. Other than that its really great small beast.
Thanks for the heads up about the Google drive link. That was a Flywoo link, but I've gone ahead uploaded the file to our own Google drive. Here's that link
drive.google.com/file/d/1yQRQaKwHgk3W0Zi9riPSLgiS9ITv7OgR/view?usp=drivesdk
Definitely reach out to Flywoo support about your VTX issue. I hope they can get it sorted out. These little quads are really fun! I've been flying them multiple times per week over the past couple of months.
@@readysetdrone yeah I really enjoyed that 5m away flight..lol, I really like this small quads. And thanks for uploading files, much appreciated. This is the issue btw:

Hi again, they sent me replacement, now ELRS is not working, wifi not shows up, and in elrs configuration there is no device like in your video. Cheeres
That's frustrating! When you leave it sitting for 60 seconds, does it ever change the flashing light pattern?
Are you able to power it 3 times quickly and bind it to your radio?
@@readysetdrone No and no:) its constantly Solid blue. And i can not bind with 3x plug as well
That's hard luck! Sounds like you got two bad ones in a row!
I know someone who got 4 GoPro's back to back that were faulty.
Third time's the charm? 🤞
beeper gets activated when you turn on RX_SET in min 13:23
Ohh, that's good to know. Thanks!
What free flywoo ?
Is Kris Dutch?
I don't think so. 🤔😄 What made you ask?
10:30 Your Battery is dead. I Actually recommend the VIFLY WhoopStor V3 1S Charger. You also can charge 6 1S Batteries, put them to Storage and also for Voltage monitoring. And yes one of this is seeing dead batteries. From my 20, 450 mAh and 750 mAh around 3 are dead.
I've heard good things about that charger. Being able to storage charge is awesome!
Under 2 minutes flight time from the FR..you areanding as you take off. And that just cruising. they aren't being honest about flight time at all.. that was using a new 450mah China hobby line battery.. same battery gives up to 5 minutes in the firefly V1..
5:44 450 mAh is crap with these quads. Did you see the flight time with the 750 mAh battery? 6 mins. Not bad.
#1sPower
So it's a simple 192 step process to bind? Easy! 😂
I couldn't have summarized it any better! Thanks, Barkley. 👊
The 450mah should have flown better. But the quad obviously has a poor tune.
Yeah, you're probably right.
