  • It’s the first episode where I start lifting tools on the poor z440! The aim in this video is to remove all the parts that won’t be going back on in preparation for creating custom bodywork. I also show a ‘rough’ idea on what my planned look will be.
    Thanks for watching.

Looks like a late 70's race bike.

Looking forward to seeing this seen few people just flip the handle bars to achieve the dropped look dunno if it'll work for this one but worth a look as it's cheap n don't involve any modifications just flip bars upside down n use original mounts 😊 keep up good work buddy loving the varied content too 👍

Cheers Dar. Won’t work for my look, they need to go much lower so it’ll be the clip on style.

Ah I see, so they’re just slid on over the top and held in place by the top clamp?

The bike will definitely look cool, but are you concerned with overheating with the lower fairings over an air cooled engine? Or maybe the front is open and it will cool enough? Just pondering it. Really enjoyable video. Thanks.

It should be fine as the front will be open (behind the front wheel) so the air can come in there and exit the rear. Plus it’s not gonna get ridden much anyway as it’s a demo bike to take to shows etc. it’ll end up just being an ornament probably.

Fully enclosed bodywork a la bmw k1 but more rounded ? Biggest canvas for your paint.

Not gonna lie, I had to google that lol. But yeah that sort of idea but less tourer look.
