My friends '46, in the 80's, had a '69 426 Hemi and 2-1/2 ton milliary axles and 56" Ag tires and everything else was original stock. That thing could get ten feet of air and do a wheel-stand at the top of a steep hill! What a ride that was!

Now that’s a beautiful truck. I’m building one right now definitely not as nice as that

Thanks for the great road test! You really do a fine job of explaining the features and performance of this upgraded iconic truck and your enthusiasm is obvious. Thanks again. Wright Flyer, USAF (1968-1972).

I'm lucky enough to live in Girard Pa and have seen this truck in person. I'd still prefer an all original but if I were to hit the lottery I'd buy two. This one and a 1948 all original, restored of course......

They keep the boost numbers way down so the turbo charger doesn't wear out the engine before it's time. You could improve the HP and torque numbers by increasing the boost but the higher performance = sooner engine rebuilds.

I would much prefer a stock 1948 version. Even with all its shortcomings. The touchscreen looks like a neon McDonald's sign on a renaissance building.

About 40 years ago, I had the use of a Korean War ambulance that had been crudely converted to a flat bed. It would go absolutely anywhere at a top speed of about 10 mph. For every 3 hours spent working on it, you could use it for about an hour :) Was a perfect farm / ranch vehicle. These resto-mods are really something else. Next time I have an extra 300k, I'll look into getting one :)

"off shoot" I guess you mean it's the exact same H.D. Chassis as the combat proven military G502 3/4 ton 4x4 with a civilian cab. T137 P.W. lol

A real beauty. Good to see a practical, sympathetic resto-mod. So much better than the ridiculous bouncing suspension or ground on a matchstick lowered cars so popular in the US and which are actually just failed, piss-poor engineering.

The title of this is very misleading it says "Power Wagon" and it should say Power Wagon BODY because that the ONLY thing Power Wagon about it! Or it could also say TWO power Wagons destroyed to make this thing! Its a totally modern pickup with a modified Power Wagon body on it, nothing more!

300k for an interior like that?! If I am being honest, that screen just just fucking cheap looking. Look what Singer automotive is doing, their products look and feel like bespoke pieces of work for 300k.

It's a very nice truck, but just isn’t worth the asking price.

Horrible that there’s a touch screen AM/FM radio climate control electronically controlled engine and you destroyed the cab of the truck to just make this terrible vehicle it is sick to put that much modern stuff in such a nice truck
