Tenacious D has an awesome quality about them that is the ability of JB and Kyle to make great harmony between acoustic and electric guitars. Not many bands can do this and they usually go for one or the other, but most of Tenacious D's songs mix both and you can clearly distinguish them in the music. I think it gives them a very distinctive musical trait.
