      It did go with the title, but made the focus on how biology and your life cycle directly impacts it. He basically just said: be active, lift weights and eat right... or you'll eventually turn into an old raisin that probably won't even be able to wipe your own ass with some assistance. There isn't some secret to build muscle.

    Your remembered by the contribution you make in the lives of others and your society not your ability to hoard treasures
    Spend your time wisely, your only here once and for who knows how long
    People who say they are going to live longer because they hit the gym forget the so called extra time you think you've gained was more than used up at the gym!
    Factoring in an energetic lifestyle as you go is the only way to maximize your time on this rock and maximizing your energy on others is the only thing you'll be remembered for

    Great video! Glad you focused on the, 'if you don't use it, you lose it'. So many people have no idea how little you really need to do to not lose as much as our sick society shows us. There are PLENTY of 80+ showing just the opposite. I just find it's hard to get people to change their ways, the older they get, regardless of the benefits. So, the benefits of exercise need to be drilled in to our heads earlier on, like we first start going to school.

    Do partial muscle tears fully heal? I have torn my pec when lifting and i have a little dent where muscle used to exist, will that grow back or is my muscle forever deformed?

    • @WeatherManToBe
      @WeatherManToBe 4 года назад +5

      If it's big enough to notice a shape difference, then no, it won't go back to the way it was. However, it will 'fully heal' in that it be functional, just misshapen. There is an interesting push to not have surgical intervention for partial or ever total tears now a days.

      I thought pulled a tore a peck yesterday , but I just needed to warm up better, ...I do have a partial bicep tear , but fortunately it was on my dominate side, I think I also might have a partial tricep tear on my dominate side idk? Either way simple answer they technically don't not on your own, but luckily for me , the side that has tears is still bigger and stronger, ...there just not as pretty as the other side. Yeah I've gotten pulled pecs a lot although idk? If any of them were tears? Idk? I don't see a difference really. Yeah u will probably have that forever.

    Getting older is not what makes human, human. It's everything else. Getting older is just the effect of time. There is no beauty to it, there is nothing 'natural' or of any value to it (wisdom is just experience not getting older). Getting old is just getting old. If anyone could avoid it, they would.

    This doesn't really answer the premise in the title. I was looking for a scientific explanation of how building muscle via weightlifting works? When building muscle mass is it actually new muscle or existing muscle getting bigger? 🤔

      He addressed in the video. They don't know. This is the part of the video where he mentions ongoing studies of Hyperplasia. Hyperplasia would be literally adding new muscles not just growing already existing ones. Great thing about nutrition science and athlete science is everyone is still learning everything. More experiments are needed on a lot of subjects. Like do we really need 1g of protein per lb of body weight to pack on size? Or can the body generate muscles by stretching them then filling them back up with more blood

    In my late teens & early 20s I felt very weak..but now I’m older and gained muscle through exercise, my muscles twitch faster than b4 when i sprint 🤔.. I feel lighter & more agile 🤷🏽‍♂️so people, exercise a bit.. i think it works 🫡😃

    I literally learned nothing here besides the fact that sarcopeana or whatever is age/disease related muscle loss. Nothing useful here about gains, broXD
    JK but I feel you on needing to work out. I'm 27 and only weigh like 135lbs, with my work boots on-_-;
    I've started lifting some free weights lately but no results yet. I'm about to add another 5-10lbs to my sets in the next week and see how that treats me.
