The Easybeats were an Australian rock band that formed in 1964. "Friday On My Mind" was their biggest hit but they had some other great songs such as "Sorry", "She's So Fine", "Women (Make You Feel Alright)", "Heaven & Hell" etc.
Great band, during Beatlemania, Australia had Easyfever. The lead singer, Stevie Wright recorded one of Australia's most iconic hit songs, Evie (parts 1, 2 & 3). I was going to say you'd recognise him from that...but I checked, and can't see that you've done that. As Molly Meldrum would say, "Do yourself a favour".
A lot of people do not know, yet this band featured George Young, who always brought his little brothers Malcom and Angus around the band, and they went on to form AC/DC, George produced for them and helped them get their start in the business.
Springsteen started one of his shows in Sydney with this classic. George Young older bro of Malcolm and Angus was in this band. Used the experience to set AC/DC on the way as well contribute songs etc. Easybeats a superb lineup in their own right!! Plenty of people have covered this classic!
Man, I was a little kid when this came out. I used to love listening to this. No clue who sang it. Lol. I waking up to this and I'm loving it. Have a groovy day. ✌🏼&🩷
They were before my time, but their music is legendary in Australia and they were one of the first groups to have some success overseas. Lead singer is Stevie Wright, who was only around 16 years of age when he joined the band, with a whole bunch of kids who had only just arrived in Australia with their families. And that my friend is why we are the lucky Country! Other band members George Young (brother of Malcolm and Angus Young from AC/DC) and Harry Vanda become one of the most successful songwriters, even after the end of the Easybeats. They wrote hits for John Paul Young (aka Squeak) and Stevie with the epic song Stevie parts I II and III.
Been more than a minute since I’ve heard this song. It’s so weird to see how they looked at that time. The haircuts, the clothing, the sound. Not to piss anyone off but I can imagine The Beatles or Herman’s Hermits singing this as well. That was the sound at that time. Nice recommendation from whomever it was for you to react to this. Now where’s my Nehru jacket? Great job Michael.
I've always loved this. It just puts you in a good mood. One hit wonder! Great reaction. Try delving into some psychedelic 60's with Iron Butterfly and "Soul Experience" and "The Time Of Our Lives" You won't be disappointed! Thank you!

I went to see them when I was 14 , 1967 . Little Stevie, as he was known, used to do back flips all across the stage . Fantastic

Hi Michael! I think you are SO adorable! You have a VERY expressive face! You make this channel FUN! Peace and Blessings from Australia.
Saw the Easybeats as a young girl was Australia's Beatles sound. Some of our earliespop stars ❤❤❤
George Young founded the Easybeats and later produced for his younger brothers band - AC/DC

David Bowie liked the song enough to do his own version.
