I'm bout to cry remembering how happy life was for me when I was kid playing this...I didn't even know da meaning of stress! (Literally lol)
😢
My life was happy as an adult back then playing this.😁
😪😪
Or boredom lol
Be prepared to relive it on ps4 it's similar ruclips.net/video/YBK1KN89T5w/видео.html
Am I the only one who wanted this to become a late 90s Dreamworks movie?
that would have been dope
the Don of Creativity it would have been absolutely fantastic!
Funny thing is... I'm actually working on an Army Men series of sorts. I kinda want to go for 3D, but I always had the neat idea of maing it look like an old 80's/90's VHS aesthetic to it like Transformers or G.I. Joe. Anyone agree?
Yes.
I can actually see Spielberg interested on this concept or even being a fan of the franchise.
Jesus, Jim Cummings is EVERYBODY in this game.
It's like, Jim Cummings talking to Jim Cummings about the attack Jim Cummings made on Jim Cummings base that Jim Cummings commands.
He's a legend
All voices except female characters.
That last name tho
@@mikedawolf95 He does the voice of Vikki too, actually.
@@F0nkyNinja no that was Susan Blu as Vikki.
This game.... This bloody game was my childhood!
Sadly, it's really hard to get your hands on it nowadays....
+Darth Jimmi Emulators!
+matt man I just downloaded it for the PSX emulator today!
it's really easy to find it today on PC (you will need to change the controls though - not that its any hard ;))
Just get yourself a old console like the Nintendo 64 or whatever you played it on and then buy the game if you really want to play it again. You can buy them online from either Dkoldies or Lukiegames although their prices are bit high but still worth it tho.
Sadly the game is not on Good Old Games.
Oh men, Sarge's Heroes. The flamethrowers were the most overpowered things in video game history.
Do it on the hardest mode you cant get pass the first level without being kill by the tan flamethrower
Strafing with a sniper rifle was the most op shit of all time
😂😂 they were lol
it's kinda sad to see time fly...this series is wat got me into gaming... hopefully they one day make a remake of this
Aderpymuffino0 there is something similar to Army men, it's called Mean Green's or someyhing like that...
It won't happen. Ef 2k games
They made it. Called Mini Royal.
Still in testing.
@@chadway1920 preciate it, ill look into it.
" Party time! " Damn, that brings me back. I would LOVE if they remade this entire series on XBOX or Playstation.
Fuck yeah, I'd buy it! =D
StarWarsTrains As would I my man, as would i !
Would you really buy it if some idiot guy like me made an HD remake and released it open-source for free?
if they did that idc about anything else i want my childhood game that always made me happy when i was feeling down
lildrummerboy714 a remaster of thr first two woulf be awesome but more modern ones would also be cool
I forgot how well this game was designed.
This really was a 80’s and 90’s kids childhood game right here. I miss these days.
This game used to kick my ASS.
That intro speech is gold. Newer games need to take notes. No complex morality, just victory against "the merciless horde of the hated tan foe" 😂
It's directly based on General Patton's speech
Lowkey, if they gave this the Destroy All Humans style reboot, this game could be so entertaining nowadays as much as it used to be!
I remember my dad showing me all the cheat codes for this game, and the most scary level for me was that level where we had to navigate through that spider cave. but in all my favorite level/stage was the bathtub!
You mean "bringing" the blue spy back to the portal by not running around the tub but jumping around the edge? :D
I completely forgot tigger was the voice of sarge 😱
Lol haha
Tigger. 😆
The voice of Tigger, a.k.a. Jim Cummings
LOL as a kid i always wondered that sarge sounded very familiar to tiggers voice but at the time i did not know it was the same actor
This game helped me join the Marines
This was my first army esque game i've ever played and fell in love since
"That thing is BARBARIC AND *MERCILESS* !!! >_> Can we build one?" - Sgt. Hawk
You gotta love that Jim Cummings is the voice of most of the named male characters in this game, including General Plastro, Colonel Grimm, and Sgt. Hawk/Sarge himself.
I played this game so many times as a kid and couldn’t get enough of it. This takes me back to being a kid and playing this during summer breaks. 😁
My childhood I want it back along with 3DO
i want to come back i 2006 when i play this first time
There's a new similar Game coming on PS4 called The Mean Green
@@kpoary5307 hope there is story mode within
This game was the shit during my N64 days
I remember struggling for hours with the last mission as a kid. You swept through it easily
+Cheeseguyguyguy With practice, of course.
nice. i loved this game as a kid except i had the N64 version. dident have voice acting like this version but the graphics were way better then this version
+Cody Ciesielski agreed
Also the last mission in the N64 version was different. It took place in a bathroom.
One of the first video games iv ever played.
Same
This is back when I really still enjoyed video games, my later life has almost destroyed my ability to naturally enjoy things...
Same here :/
rellik187redrum so what exactly happened dude? I'm young I want to know
Everyone gets to eat a bucket of shit. Sooner or later, with different flavours, but its inevitable. And then you just try to keep up and imitate what you had before, but its not the same, forever.
@@zagmodell yep I'm 23 and I'm already feeling it.
GrindHard TV 25 here and the clock is ticking
Just got a MASSIVE blast of nostalgia, used to play this game on PC all day when I was young. Thanks for uploading!
I used to play this on Nintendo 64. I also played Perfect Dark when my dad re-married and my step brother brought Perfect Dark over. I don't know what happened to the Nintendo 64. But yeah those were good days.
I miss when every game had a single player story. N64/PS2 games will forever be undefeated.
I was 14 years old when my Uncle introduced this game to me and he knew I would like it because I always loved guns and taking sides with the great people. Now 38, wounded and greatful, I talked to him once again after several years and tell him he was a prophet!
I loved this game, used to play it with my brother years ago.
Brings back childhood memories, favourite missions were the garden with Thick and the living room with the Christmas tree 💯
retro developers need to come back and team up with new gen developers and bring back back these good hits. they deserve to be on new gen consoles
Retro developer? That's a new one.
Idk dude I was pretty baked. I think I was trying to say how old game developers should team up with these current developers and bring back cool games like this.
Well...I guess that's kind of happening with Marvel vs Capcom Infinite? And the Crash Bandicoot N.Sane Trilogy as well but that's more so just bringing back and even in a sense remaking some of the original PlayStation's best games.
It wouldn't be the same without the clunky controls and odd camera angles
It’s sad that gems like this have been lost to time, reminds me of the Small Soldiers games.
I loved the part where Sarge ask: "Can we get them?" When he saw the magnificent glass.
All you needed was a handheld mirror and thats it
OOH my god i remember when i was like 5 years old and me and my father would play this for hours i loved this game like you needed a crowbar just to get me off it I played one on the N64 and number 2 on PS2 but what still boggles me to this day is what the heck happened to 3DO
They went bankrupt.
3:53 Thank you for showing every BIO! that takes me back... ooou yeeeeeeeeeeeees
My dad always playing this game, i remember when i'm still in junior high school, this game is his favorite game but now he's already gone :(
These were the greatest days of my life.
I miss this game when I played it long time ago 😌
The nostalgia 😪I remember playing this with my older brother but then he traded it to my neighbors for resident evil😔
Oh, nostalgia. I remember riding bikes with my best friend to a place called Blockbuster (lol) and renting Sarge’s Heroes. Then, playing multiplayer and screen peaking with the motor launcher. Good, good time 🥲
The multiplayer modes of Army Men games were indeed a good extra.
Who needs mind-blowing graphics when you have old-fashion childhood memories?
I had this game as a kid but never was able to beat it, finally today I got around to it 21 years later haha.
I miss this game so much I use to this game on the Nintendo 64 also ArmyMen Air Combat, ArmyMen PC, ArmyMen Sarge War & Army Men Green Rogue at my Cousin place when I play there game too
How can you all miss Sarge's War - that blasted hell !?!?!
My very first game on the ps1 man the nostalgia hit you hard
"Au contraire - it's French."
- Plastro, General
2:06:26
LOL
I remember the zombie missions from this game really scaring me... lol...
I don't remember zombies being in this game.
Darth Jimmi Same haha
I think they are talking about the second game because I remember that and they are in the grave yard mission.
Zombies are coming in sarge's heroes 2
@@tylerdegenstein5955 i might or might not have threaten my dad to buy SGH 2
I would like to see this game remastered this was one the first video games I ever played
I used to hate walking on those mines.
I Had to rent this thing from blockbuster like 5 times. Never beat the game so thanks for uploading this.
I finally found a classic N64 console replica that luckily includes this game included as one of them. So happy that it does
Played this all the time on my older brothers' ps2 when I was little. Good times
I think of Vikki has a woman who has a Barbie doll as her mother and people just assume she's a showgirl just looks good and doesn't do anything special except if you see her in combat that's a different story
I think her mom was a Barbie, since her dad is a green army man. That's why she has the human skin.
I loved these games as a kid, so many childhood memories. It's sad how the series ended with the whole platoon and Vikki dead.
The shooter before you got rewarded for headshots
I have the N64 version of this, I dont remember ever being able to drive tanks in it though.
Zach Shelton you can't...it's ps1 not n64, that's why
Zach Shelton but the n64 version was still dope
Geomatry Games the n64 version had better controls and graphics and visibility then this game
@@Persona1996 the cutscenes on the ps1 were better than the N64 in my opinion
oof gamer637 that and voice acting and the fact bravo company helps u were pretty much the only things that helped it stand out.
"Aw, Jeez!"
Zender987 "Party time!"
+Zender987 "Wa-hoo!"
Look alive!
This and BattleTanks Global Assault were my favorite games when I was much younger. Good times
Thanks for my mom for buying this game when I was in 4th grade so many memories. 😍😍😍
MY mom, on the other hand, HATES these games... Weird.
Good gracious the nostalgia! Even as an Army veteran I'd rather play a game like this than crappy CoD...
I remember this game soooo much
This brings back so many memories
GET READY! FOR AN ALL OUT DEATHMATCH BETWEEN JIM CUMMINGS & JIM CUMMINGS
If Hollywood was smart enough to make this into a movie;
ARMY MEN: SARGE’S HEROES Directed By Joss Whedon
Sarge: Jon Bernthal
Vikki: Kat Dennings
Colonel Grimm: Scott Glenn
General Plastro: Tim Roth
Looooooooooved these games back in the day!
Sarge, Plastro and Colonel are all voiced by Jim Cummings...
That avatar tho... o_o
@@stopthrm leaf
Gotta love how they aped Baba O'Reily in the first level 😂
this is the first game I ever played
I can remember my dad laughing with this game when I was playing it, he thought it was a very hilarious game.
Its is kinda surreal hearing the guy who voices winnie the pooh do his best patton impression.
I love the reworked General Patton speech at the beginning.
Hell yes!!!!! I loved this game as a kid.
I remember playing this game.
Even though I am 15 my sister had a PlayStation and let me have it.
Great game.
5:31 that evil laugh tho😂
Impressive, you can use vehicles in this version.
damn that cutscene at 1:26:00 is so creepy lol
I got this game as a present for Easter (odd thing to get for Easter I know lol) so whenever I see this game my first thought is of me as an eight year old playing this while eating Easter eggs without a worry in the world. Simple times.
2:12:59 what an epic moment! Baba O' Reilly by The Who, yesterday played it on the Raspberry Pie
I'm such a 90s baby I loved this game could never beat it......I think I still have it and I'll beat it one of these days
I remember this game after i remember the Patton speech in the beginning
Growing up playing with the little green plastic army men are cool. But when a game comes out that contain these same little green plastic army men is one of the best things that can happen. The concept of playing as a little plastic guy is loads of fun. The only problem with it: the camera perspective is 3rd person, except when using the sniper rifle in scope mode.
I became John wick at this game. I exactly where everyone else and exactly how may bullets I needed to get the job done lol
I have been waiting years for this game to be re-released as a digital download on the PC. Had a great time with it on the n64. Maybe it'll happen someday.
48:36 happened to me a lot... so frustrating xd
I always was terrified of that black widow spider mission. That gave me the creeps
I love the Patton speech in the beginning
bring so much memories back in 1999 =( 20 years ago
3:02:33 I love how the Tan trooper was like no no no.
lol the sarge looks like a green thanos
"Moisture is imminent."
"Aw jeez!"
Nostalgic use to rent this from block buster & Hollywood videos as a kid 🔥
I wish Army Men 3 will revamp this long lost series.
3do went bankrupt in 2003. so there probably wont be another revamp of the series. It has always had low ratings and sales
HATCHETxKINGx25
2003*. Know yer facts, m8. AM3 is a free fan made game.
i know, but who would revamp a game series with very low ratings and sales. It will stay dead unfortunately forever
HATCHETxKINGx25 i'm planning on becoming a game developer, if things go my way i will (in about 10 years) by the rights to the game and develop a third installment
Christopher Quinn that would be awesome
The helicopters remind me of the ones you had in those old counter strike maps. The old gold surc engine ones. Ah I miss crazy tank.
I miss this game so much!
me and my cousin spent hours days weeks playin this
Nostalgic game i play when i was elementary school..good time.. btw Sarge looks like thanos from marvel 😂
Man I loved this game!
When it comes to Thick i god damn laughed. His Intelligence is lower. XD
I think it's implied he has Autism.
Always interesting look at this game on the PS1 never actually playing the PS1 version. Though I can honestly say the N64 version despite not having as high quality audio and no animated cutscenes. The N64 version is most definitely better. From the Camera angles, to the environment it just looks so much better. I think texture quality is definitely higher on the PS1 version though. But that doesn't make up for all the missing stuff. Good example, the very first missions the N64 version the buildings are all open, and you can go inside them. N64 being able to handle more polygons definitely shows and the fog isn't nearly as aggressive on the N64 version in spite of still being there, you can see a bit farther.
Bro that menu music is making me cry oh the good times
I love these kind of games they are good and fun
The flame thrower is accidental ASMR. XD
Nothing screams ASMR like peaking, popping audio.
The bathroom map, I remember the bug where you could just jump from one corner directly to the portal lmao
So you don't have to run around the whole tub again
we didnt know they were good times until we are 30 plus now. im not sad they are over but im dam sure glad they happen. salute to all else who lived these days!
