I bought a 400 dollar MacBook turned out it was a 2011 version of the MacBook Air and is trash I can’t get my money back anymore and I’m stuck with it I don’t know enough about it but I was wondering if I could take it apart and make a Pc with parts with it
@@konafire134 if it's slow n trash , it'll stay same if you make it a PC like in the video .
Just upgrade it with some SSD n RAM (also battery if you can) and use it as a laptop. Don't forget Cleaning the fans , reapplying thermal paste and removing the Optical drive ( if you don't want em).

I was literally given an iMac at the weekend.
I work with those apple on the regular. That battery swelling with the tracking pad basically exploding is very common. You guys lucked out and didn't come across the old fuse blow it basically makes the cooling fans decorations.

Just thought i'd mention, this video is the sole reason for my first purchase of a Mechanical Keyboard. I have used a few but not as my actual keyboard, just some friends, and i decided to order the Keychron K4 with Gateron Browns, I prefer the sort of physical confirmation that most Membranes have but also like to have a smooth but barely noticable click to my keys.

Strip the windows laptop like the motherboard, get an enclosure that can be installed onto the back of a monitor or an all in one enclosure and you are set plus stuff as much upgrades as possible. That will be a dope concept to do.

I've got a MBA with a dead screen, so this is pretty much what I did for a long time. Maybe you should get with somebody to 3D print something to mount to the back of the monitor somehow?

That's why it has no touchpad. That model was famous for batteries bulging and causing the trackpad to go all wonky, and I guess their solution was to remove the trackpad entirely (might've been better to remove the battery instead, but maybe it bulged so badly the trackpad popped out on its own, I don't know)

Something I like to do with laptops with just a broken screen is to take the screen off and have it as an easy computer to plug into your tv or something.
I have wayyyyy to many MacBook Pro unibodys in my room. Most work but the ones that don’t are used for parts. It’s a really good system to restore as many as possible.

I was expecting more of a remove motherboard from chassis and put it into a 3d printed enclosure on the backside of the monitor or maybe build into the base of the monitor...like making it into an all-in-one. Rather than just connect a monitor and keyboard with small upgrades.
