@@hughjass2612 yea it would be great if you used your brain. It’s not easy to make high quality videos more than once every two weeks. If Clawdeena9 videos are the only way to not hate your life I would suggest you see a therapist or rewatch the frozen stop motion video
One thing that made me happy was that in the graveyard scene, I heard Cleo say ''Oh my ra'' which she used to say in gen 1 all the time!
I'm impressed that they filmed the movie in a month, and we finally understand why they look pretty different from the dolls. They still look great and I love that the outfits are very suitable for the movie.

I have nothing against a Latina Lagoona , However they could have still kept her Australian but delved more into giving her aboriginal roots by making her a native Australian. It's like the crew automatically assumed any Australian girl is "white" , did they not think having an Australian was good enoughrepresentation? which is weird since they worked with a company to make their dolls more inclusive? Surely someone would have pointed that out?
Edit: okay just realised I left this comment on the wrong video, this was supposed to be on the one for the facts about the dolls
Her being native was only a headcanon, so she was never intended to be aboriginal
@@neb.9489 Yeah I definitely agree , kinda wish they made that headcanon real, like I 100% have nothing against Latina lagoona but it would've been really cool to see native Australian representation
This is why sometimes instead of changing a characters race, companies should make new characters with the race they want to depict. Especially with Monster High as its character's are already pretty diverse
In g1 she was technically bi-racial already cuz her mother was a sea nymph which are Greek and her father was most likely a bunyip which is an Australian sea monster
@@NobodyUndefined I mean like Lagoona didn’t really have a race I mean she was coded somewhat as being bi-racial but but her storyline especially regrading Gil would put her in being arguably black or yes even Spanish I mean like lagoona isn’t even a natural blonde on the official old monster website her bio even stated as such by saying that something in the water at monster high causes her hair to turn blonde
the second i heard "filmed in an old insane asylum i immediatley knew it was filmed locally. so many things have been filmed at River view hospital in port coquitlam east of vancouver like deadpool (both), grave encounters, jenifers body, final destination 2, halloween ressurection, many supernatural episodes, riverdale episodes, the outside of the building is also publicly accesible and really cool for photos

@@Clawdeena9 yeah I’ve never been to it but know people that have and can see it from the road. It’s been used for various sets like prisons, abandoned asylums, modern hospitals, it’s neat that the building is still being used
Seeing the actors have fun and seem to be so passionate about the movie makes me wonder how people could let out their anger on them over the reboot. I’m glad they all agreed to be in the sequel, despite some miscasting in terms of representation.
I don't like what the reboot did because I'm and old fan of the og but I do agree that harassing the actors is stupid it's not their fault that monster high reboot changed things there just hired for the job.
One of the nods to the original webisodes is when Frankie says “what’s a movie?” When clawdeen is talking how she had watched movies about highschool. Frankie saying that is a nod to the webisode about everyone showing frankie her first movie! Or at least that’s what I think lol
OMG YES! I’d completely forgotten, and that webisodes is IN the theme song!
Jackson and Holt are one (or two) of my favorite characters and would've loved a full movie about them
I would be so happy to have a movie around Jackson and Holt.
Man, it was weird to watch this immediately as I was finishing The Mummy on my Halloween binge. Kinda weird that they super softened this reboot (I’m surprised they literally got away with murder), but making Cleo more humanoid than ever implies she had to suck a few treasure hunters dry to get that way.
And Jackson/Holt absolutely should’ve been the main character, or at least actually here instead of being chopped up and their traits redistributed to other characters. Komos doesn’t look very old, I could believe he had a teenage brother.
And while I’ve been totally behind NB Frankie from the start, FRANKIE STEIN not being a Frankenstein anymore is unforgivable, Freaky Fusion literally makes me tear up every time. They do realize the original story and concept is public domain, right? Our Mother of Science Fiction’s been dead for ages. The studio can only claim Karloff’s particular design.
How is she not a Frankenstein? I heard her parents are drs. Victor and Mary Stein. In some versions of Frankenstein, the monster uses his creators name so it could still be him and the bride, right? Or did I miss something?
I can't remember the specifics but there is a reason why they're not Frankenstein's child, I think its something like universal has rights to A Frankenstein character that could interfere with monster high depicting the character. Also the old Jackson idea is why I hate concepts, they're always better than the final product
She's daughter of the scientists Mary Frankenstein and Shelley Frankenstein! She's just not daughter of the monster anymore, but still a Frankenstein

I think since they were very specific in naming Komos’s dad “Eddie Hyde” that Jackson/Holt might return at some point (or at least I’m hoping).

I think the makeup and looks of the movie aren't that bad considering is Nickelodeon and their budget is lower, but my god seeing Cleo without blue eyes makes me realize the real problem in the costuming is the contacts -
I think it's interesting that Eddie Hyde was killed in Pittsburgh, specifically. Pittsburgh is the home of legendary horror director George Romero.His movies Night of the Living Dead and Dawn of the Dead were filmed there, and I believe part of Day of the Dead was filmed there, too. There have been several horror films filmed in Pittsburgh, and it's also the home of horror sfx legend Tom Savini. So I definitely think making Pittsburgh the place where Eddie Hyde was killed was intentional. And even though Jackson and Holt weren't in the movie, the new animated show doesn't follow it completely, so there's still a chance of them coming back. As long as I can have them and Operetta back, anything else is gravy.

Fact:. I personally thought that Mr Kobos was supposed to be a kobold, which is a creature similar to a more humanoid goblin. (Thank you, dungeons and dragons) . Do you think that monster high could ever have a goblin or kobold as a character? If so, how do you think they will look and act?
many jews would be mad as many of them find goblins and trolls as offensive, even if it's not meant to represent them. so probably not, they would get cancelled.

Although this doesn't pay too much attention to the origins of the Kobold , Sometimes Kobolds are presented as dog like races (mostly in Japanese media/ JRPGS from what i could find) due to the original DND; even though they cut this, a dog-lizard would be a cute interpretation i think
I haven't seen anyone point this out yet, but Frankie's sweater vest outfit in the movie is jackson jekylls Exact outfit almost, a nod to Jackson & holt I suppose
What I realized about the movie. Holt Hyde would've got komos mother pregnant when they were in high school if he was killed I'm high school...
His name was Eddie Hyde, not Holt.
In the sequel we see Clawd, Gil, Jackson/Holt, Robecca & Rochelle
I actually really liked the movie! It brought me back to being 10 years old and finding MH for the first time and I’m excited for a new generation of kids to feel the same way! Also, I kinda wish we got the universal movie bc I love Jackson/Holt and I wish they’d bring him back, but I like the movie regardless .

It would have been so amazing and cute if Ghoulia kept just making zombie noises & used ASL & had an interpreter ex Cleo bc they're besties. Cleo learned asl so she can get close with ghoulia & became an interpreter all in support of her friend. It may seem a tad out of character,but this is a new version,and even though Cleo is a bit mean I can see her wanting to be nice again especially since it is ghoulia.
Also I heard Cleo say oh my rah in the movie

@clawdeena9 Since we know now that Gen 3 Frankie isn’t Victor Frankensteins granddaughter but instead Mary and Dr Shelly’s creation this proves the multiverse of monster high is even deeper or that both Frankie’s exist. Further more that the different origins mean there are three versions of each character living simultaneously and that they may all reside in the same universe. Cause that would be so hexciting
