  • Today I install a 2023 Indian Accessory, Scout Pathfinder Adaptive 5 3/4" LED Headlight. It's a very simple instal that anyone can do in a matter of minutes. It's the single easiest upgrade to any year Indian Scout.
After 6 years my Scout Sixty's Eagle Lights LED Halo Headlight starting having issues with condensation building up inside. It got so bad on cold days the headlight was extremely obscured by fog and didn't offer very good lighting. So I decided it was time to upgrade to a Genuine Indian Accessory. Different than the standard Pathfinder LED Headlight, the Adaptive version will change LED elements within the assembly to help light the corners of the road when leaning during a turn. Very trick.
    Thanks for watching! Always appreciated!
    Cheers!

    Great video!
You've inspired me to upgrade my 2012 Thruxton's headlight to led.
    Looks easy enough!
Please keep the videos coming and... Love your beer sign!

There are lots of Fixe options for LED Headlight assemblies now. I am sure the Thruxton will look epic. Cheers Bro!

Thank you Mike for continuing to bring Scout updates. I am a fan of original accessories and I love when you put something from Indian. I have the normal Pathfinder and the OEM short darkened deflector and I am delighted. I also put the OEM smoked turn signals and the whole thing is darkened and great.
I have the Bobber and I removed the Indian letters from the tank because they seemed ugly to me haha, I put a vinyl but maybe put something like the classic Indian logo. Those letters always seemed very bland to me.
You inspired me with your project and maybe now I inspire you haha.
I love your work and how you explain everything, keep it up!

Yep, it pays to wait sometimes, something better usually comes along. I bought the original pathfinder for my scout when it came out, shortly after they introduced the FTR. I’d much prefer the adaptive light, but I’m not spending that money again unless the current one breaks.
Maybe I’ll get lucky, I did on one occasion have a truck break my sealed beam headlight on the Harley. Tossed a rock about the size of my thumb straight into the thing. Funny enough I heard the noise, but I didn’t know what happened until I got home, and the rock was still in the headlight.
Oh well, good video as always, glad to see you’re getting back to making some content.

I wanted to see you installing the clips. I found them almost impossible to install. After you insert the first clip, it puts a larger amount of pressure on one side, pushing the lamp assembly out of the other side. It makes it very difficult to keep the assembly centered in the ring and get those clips installed. I found it to be unbelievably difficult. I wish you showed how you did it because I’m missing something. I watched to other headlamp up grades, and they did the same; skipped showing installing the last 3 clips.

I literally show how to install the 4 "W" clips at the 8:58 mark. Also at 6:00 or so you see how they come out. There is no special trick for the other 3 clips. Maybe doing the opposite side clip will help hold it? I am not sure. It is not easy and just takes patience. The trim / retaining ring just loves to move around. Wish I had a better answer but yes, it's difficult. Thanks for watching. Not sure if it helped or not. LOL Cheers!

believe it or not, the pathfinder adaptive also gets condensation. the forums go on and explain how it's "normal" since LED's do not produce the amount of heat halogens do, to dry out the interior. still seems wrong, as a factory defect.

Being that the other are still working and only this one messed up makes me think something changed. Either it's sealed and the seal broke, or it was vented and somehow the venting got blocked. Any way the new light looks great. Personally I would just like the extra lights to be on all the time instead of just when I turn. Hopefully you get many years of use out of this one.

Me too! While I didn't pay retail for the Pathfinder Adaptive LED Headlight, it still was 2x the cost of an Eagle Light. Thanks for watching, much appreciated!

My regular scout has this light, when I bought, but I noticed it vibrates alot, noticeable when reflecting against street signs and it's annoying, everything appears tight, could it be a retaining clip loose or missing.
