He looks and sounds just like his big brother ronnie. Ronnie would be so proud of his little brother 😊
Boy, Ronnie would be so proud to know that 42 years after his passing Skynyrd STILL sells out shows!!

Sold out Spac 2019 in Saratoga with a FANTASTIC show....
Younger Brothers doing him proud!!!
I've had the pleasure of seeing these guys in concert twice! Unfortunately, I wasn't alive when the original band was around. I wasn't born until 1979. I love Skynyrd! Saw them in '99 with my parents and my uncle and brother. Then again in '06 with my husband. In September of 06, I was 8 months pregnant with our daughter. I tell her that was her first concert! Lol!💕🎼🤟🤘
I agree!
One thing I love about Johnny is that he has his own vocal style it is not either his brother Donnie or Ronnie's. Johnny bring his own style that everyone loves.
Almost saw them at a big outdoor concert near Denver in '94 but started raining during Bad Company's set and rained picked up and Skynyrd was cancelled. I did see the original band in Dallas in 1976. The tour with only two guitars as they were between Ed King and Steve Gaines. I consider myself very blessed to have seen Ronnie Van Zandt in concert.
Ronnie Guitar
Same here. Saw them in Philadelphia June 77 with Gaines. Awesome show!👍👍
*You are soo lucky. I'm way jealous. 😯*
I got to see Rossington Collins band. That’s the closest I got to a Real Skynyrd concert! Seeing Allen Collins before he went through all that hell was still great! Plus all the other members from Skynyrd were cookin that night! But to me that got to see Allen cause after Ronnie he was my favorite guitarist of the four! I loved all of them and I mean anyone who played in that band before or after the plane crash! But if he was able to pick a time period in Skynyrd it would be the whole lineup that put out the Pronounced album! There wasn’t a single bad song on that entire album!!!!
Sorry to hear that
I never thought I would have the chance to see them live but my dreams came true a couple weeks ago!! I went to Arkansas to visit my dad who I haven't seen in about 10 years, who is the biggest Skynyrd fan. He actually plays guitar and used to put me to sleep by playing Simple Man. When I was 4, I would go around our lil town singing The Ballad of Curtis Lowe to people, which was the first song I ever learned. Anyways, we made it to the Little Rock show and omg it was unforgettable. Even played my favorite song ever, Simple Man💖 inarguably the best southern rock band to have ever existed!
R.I.P Lynyrd Skynyrd Members❤
One of the greatest bands ever Johnny filled Ronnie's shoes your brother must be so proud. Timeless
Sooo good! Iam very sad that is their farewell tour...Long live LYNYRD SKYNYRD! French fan.
I'm certain Ronnie is very proud and happy with his little brother
Keeping his dream alive and well, id have to agree.
Ronnie would be overjoyed to have seen his band do this well all these years after the fateful plane wreck. I'm sure his daughter is happy her uncle and band members who survived the crash kept his memory and dream alive by playing the music he loved.
I saw them in Nashville last summer. I lived in Jacksonville when the plane crash happened. Love that they carried on all these years. They still have it. Love you guys.
Keeping the legacy alive is what it's all about for me
Happy 61st birthday Johnny Van Zant
I decided for my birthday today I just want to hear Johny sing all day. Thanks to technology he don't have to come over. Lol he is only a click away happy birthday to me.
Saw the original and never miss the chance to see every show I can. God bless you!
I don't care what anyone says. I know for a fact that Ronnie and all the other original members who have passed away would be damn proud of these guys for still playing their asses off every year to sold out crowds. Johnny has done a hell of a job over the past 30 years and I commend Gary for never giving up on the dream and for making sure the Skynyrd name never dies. They've released some great albums over the past 30 years that are all extremely underappreciated as well.
God bless the band. Been listening and following since I was a kid in 77. Never miss an opportunity to see them. I'm sad it's all winding down now but I understand.
I feel very blessed to have seen them 5 times, the first time was with all the original members.
Seen skynyrd in concert 13 times always amazing true entertainment rock on
I was fortunate enough to see them in Jersey at the end of August, it was an incredible show. I've always said my top objective on my bucket list was to see them, and I cannot believe I was able to, incredible night. Definitely buying this album.
I saw them in Berlin, Germany. It was awesome.
Sadly they didn't film it, I didn't film much and only ONE dude uploaded most of the songs on youtube. His channel got deleted...
I wish they would film EVERY concert and you could buy the one where you were at...
