I happened to see this car today and it is better looking in real life then what you see in pictures or these videos. It does look like an Infiniti FX37 but just slightly smaller. It is a good looking car but i don't know if it's worth it to spend a lot more money on it than the Infiniti though.
Great review and entertaining to boot. Really hope this model is successful for the Trident. That way we can be talking about the luscious GT - the Alfieri, sooner than later.
I am a South African but each time i like the new car i always search for it in your channel ,you guys make it easy for someone to buy or not to buy the car ,nice review indeed but i was hopping you guys to mention fuel consumption in this beast, keep up the good work
I got confused when I seen the channel name caradvice.com but aren't yous in Australia so it should be .com.au or make it only CarAdvice no need to the coms and aus
If you are gonna get a Maserati, saloon or SUV, just get it with the Ferrari-developed petrol engine. Hell if you can afford the car, you can also afford the fuel right?
really in my opinion, as a 4x4 offroad maserati it should be able to rock crawl with that diesel. it should have more aggressive off road tires, but not too much. and of course suspension suited for a little rugged excursion, yet refined for the return to a lofty penthouse. the maserati levante has soo much potential i think they did very well to groom the beast into a blue ribbon.
The Jaguar F-Pace starts at $52000 Canadian and the Maserati starts at $88000. So with the usual luxury packages, and Canadian tax of 13% the F-pace is $70000 out the door with all the scam dealer fees included. The Maserati will be $ 117000 out the door and that is the cheapest model. So the $47000 difference is your choice financially. But from a status difference, it would be like driving Hillary Clinton, or Jessica Alba. (Of course Jessica would be the Maserati) And Sorry Hillary don't have me killed or anything.
Those circular lights in the front ruined it. The back looks alright, but as with all Maserati rears, I personally find the brake lights to look dated when turned off. Then again, that's just me. I hope it's not as bad as the Ghibli (panel gaps, lack of luxury features, cheap interior buttons)
the rear quarters of the car is a disappointment. It looks like a Kia. the great thing is that it appears to have a great handling characteristics, which is good.
Hate to say but it looks like a CUV, and something that isnt premium. Just my opinion, love the Cayenne, Rover, etc but this thing looks boring. Great review though!
Looks awfull compared to German luxury suv and even a lexus But i have a great idea for the sales managers only 2 words can make fools buy this crap "Italian Passion"
if you can afford a Maserati, pretty sure you want a balls to the wall petrol, not a diesel. Diesel is for people who want to tow, go off road or save money... none of which a Maserati owners is concerned with. If I owned stocks in Maserati, I'd be concerned. On a side note, that journo highjacking/attempt at acting was extremely awkward and cringe worthy ...almost as cringe worthy as the overpriced soft SUV fad that has taken over our roads in recent years.
Massimo Bernardo Yes ...their diesel offerings are equally as cringe worthy, but you are forgetting that they also offer balls to the wall turbo/petrol and supercharged/petrol versions. This diesel is the only offering Maserati are bringing to Australia and at about $150K... I'm struggling to see why anyone with a brain would buy one.
there is also the Levante petrol 3.0 L. up to 430 hp, will surely also in Australia, from you if I'm not mistaken, there is a very high tax on luxury car
I'm sorry soon as i heard Fiat Chrysler parts with Jeep, fuck it i would not go near it with a 10 foot pole! Me being one of those hundreds of customers fucked over by Fiat Chrysler Australia by Purchasing a faulting 70K Jeep Grand Cherokee and their disgraceful approach of not giving a fuck about their customers i would never go near one of their products ever again!
The overall design is total garbage, seriously. The front looks like a design Kia would do. And who the hell design those weak ass day time running lights!? Its 2016 jesus christ.. Even a Touareg have better looking DTRL. The ONLY good thing about the car is that Maserati badge.
Good channel but ugly car. Looks like a bug eyed juke up front. Interior looks dated as well though I'm sure it's luxurious like the silk and other materials... The sad part is it runs like a champ!!! Maserati should have stuck with the kubang design
thing is these cars are much more capable than these reviews show, the F-Pace, the Levante and the likes all have the underpinnings of capable off roaders (Land Rover for Jaguar and Jeep for Maserati), think how capable the cayenne is, these should be along the same lines, the only problem is 99% of owners will never ever use them for anything more than what they showed in the video, if even that, I guarantee most owners will never take them into anything more than a mildly unkempt road
The leds are ugly.... like honestly, straight up ugly, it looks like a person who has half eyebrow on each side. If I am in the market for a luxury SUV, I will skip this one for sure, 1 is the exterior which is the front end, 2 is the interior because they use the same parts from other GM cars, that's not acceptable! I want to feel special if I buy a Maserati.
6 Major design flaws. #1. The rear looks too cheap almost like a Mazda. #2. Front should no longer have round fog lamps. I had round fog lamps on a Ford explorer from 20 years ago. Even Porsche finally did away with the round fog lamps on the 2017 Cayenne. So outdated looking. #3. The front Grille should reach all the way to the bottom instead of half way. This would make it appear more worthy of the price tag. This look is like the front of the Mazda. It needs to look more flashy at this price point. 4. Bad value for your money as you can get all same leather and options fully loaded on Land Rover Sport or the F-Pace for $90 000. #5. They don't give you an option for Gloss Black rims which are currently on all high end vehicles as this is the hot trend and chrome rims are old style. You can get Gloss Black rims with the Rover Sport or F-Pace. The F-pace is $15000 less than Rover Sport out the door, and $27000 cheaper than this Maserati out the door. So for the same HP and engine fully loaded with ALL options and better rims, and modern look, my final choice would be F-Pace. #6. The Maserati is much longer than all other SUV's, which not only gives it a station wagon appearance, but it will be much more difficult to park as you will smash up the front end causing expensive repairs. Not to mention garages in even modern million dollar homes are much smaller than in the past and this vehicle may not fit and it would be a shame to park it outside in the snow and also have it vandalized.
You guys should have at least 500k subscribers for such good content.
Good content compared to who or what?
+videonaj
he's right.. without making comparisons, they're quite good in their own unique way
Thanks Gohan - appreciate all the work you've done with Goku too.
Compared to a toilet bowl that has just been used by someone on the KFC diet
wtf... i noticed u people have 86k subs after gohan mentioned it. I thought your a million subs channel by looking at the quality of your vids.

idk why but when that guy was in the back seat it felt like an aircraft safety demonstration lol
Hi Matt! Could u do a face off of Levante and F-Pace please. Thanks. Looking forward. More power to your CarAdvice.
Looks great!
Thanks for watching!
Integrafreak1 ikr this thing looks good. It reminds me of Infiniti fx when not looking at its front fascia.
CarAdvice.com l
I never thought I would ever think a diesel sounded nice..?
I have the same Zegna interior in my Ghibli S and its killing a lot of cars out there as far as finishes go. That's my biased opinion lol...
The real Top Gear: Australia :P
Keep up the awesome work guys :D
based on the Jeep Grand Cherokee?
I know it's a preproduction car, but hope they resolve the sound proofing. A car that price point shouldn't have such road noise inside the cabin.
there was a sound issue
thank you maser` for this work of ART. test it and is perfect. best money can buy.
I got confused when I seen the channel name caradvice.com but aren't yous in Australia so it should be .com.au or make it only CarAdvice no need to the coms and aus

fundiver198 exactly! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 when you actually afford the why not get the right engine for the car..
fundiver198 there are non-diesel of this model.
fundiver198 where I live have no petrol so I just gone to get a Volvo XC90 excellence instead
I know the 3 intakes on the side are supposed to be signature Maserati, but they need to drop them on the levante
Wats the amount of noise inside?
really in my opinion, as a 4x4 offroad maserati it should be able to rock crawl with that diesel. it should have more aggressive off road tires, but not too much. and of course suspension suited for a little rugged excursion, yet refined for the return to a lofty penthouse. the maserati levante has soo much potential i think they did very well to groom the beast into a blue ribbon.
Is the interior that noisy
Very striking automobile.
Lol
The LEDS are hideous, I get it the designers were trying to make it look mean. But sorry, the LEDS messed up the front end.
Hope that gear shift(er) isn't the one that just lead to a million cars being recalled!!!
it is
didi you know that a Maserati Quattroporte share parts with a Dodge
This, or the F-pace?
the f-pace is a lower category. So driving a MASERATI Levante is another thing and is more luxurious than a F-pace.
maserati

Tesla model x

Ya looks great
All indoor audio is not audible..invest in proper post prod.
Its kind'a sounds so noisy for a luxury suv base on your video
We had a tiny technical issue with some of the in-car audio, so it might just be that.
soooo cool ..
You deliberately skipped the 0-100 figure...???
Price?
surly not
www.maseratiusa.com/maserati/us/en/index.html
starts at 72k
I prefer Matt Campbell as the reviewer….the other dude just ruined it!
Agreed!
This thing goes right up against the Jaguar F-Pace.
thelocustemperor jaguar F-Pace has better engine
Came here after the whining review of Auto Express.
how could there possibly be 300 kilometres of silk trim in that interior?
Jason Mi Headliner,door panels
price
money
Yep
The review hijack is seriously uncool!
one the most sexiest suv's ever
haha enjoyed this, nice work guys. As others have said, Not sure if im the biggest fan of this car. But who cares, Cant afford it anyway :P
it sold out in 2 days after they announced the price in China
Funny they put silk in the cars. Silk comes from China and it seems the majority of these cars are sold there or to Chinese buyers
the rear quarters of the car is a disappointment. It looks like a Kia.
the great thing is that it appears to have a great handling characteristics, which is good.
if they want to lure people away from porsche they shouldnt be putting jeep and fiat chrysler parts in it
y do australians talk like they r a documentary narrator?
Hate to say but it looks like a CUV, and something that isnt premium. Just my opinion, love the Cayenne, Rover, etc but this thing looks boring. Great review though!
You lost me at "Jig"...
Levante uses the jeep grand cherokee engine.
Looks awfull compared to German luxury suv and even a lexus
But i have a great idea for the sales managers only 2 words can make fools buy this crap
"Italian Passion"
No it does not, it looks great you peasant
Its a 120k car but 70k worth of value went to the badge. so you end up paying 120k for a 50k car that drives like a jeep.
mate mate mate

in Italy you pay a fee more than 250 hp, in fact, the Maserati Ghibli and Levante Diesel sells weakened from 275 hp to 250 hp
Why am I seeing INFINITI SUV this whole time??
+Dan Heather cause you're drunk.
FCA parts bin
Zzzzzzzz yawn yawn
Not "maseraaati"
but
"masè rati"
+Primo huh...? i'm pretty sure it's "mase ràti".

lol, using Kia design as some sort of negative doesn't work these days, champ, as they're some of the best styled cars on the road.
the maserati would brake down.
looks like a kia car to me
well its hard to make an unique with SUVs since alot look the same
Nissan Juke ...
worst audio ever... BAD BOSS!
Good channel but ugly car. Looks like a bug eyed juke up front. Interior looks dated as well though I'm sure it's luxurious like the silk and other materials... The sad part is it runs like a champ!!! Maserati should have stuck with the kubang design
awkward
Any FWD hatchback coud have managed that gravel track. Especially at that slow pace. Almost nobody really needs these stupid, floppy soft-roaders.

l would take the Bentley over the maserati.

What a shitty ugly car. This is an SUV? The rims are very small and it looks like a Mazda
Wow it's still ugly.
