    I over seeded in September with Pete’s grass seed. Looked great all fall.
    Now I have POA everywhere! Didn’t have it before. Already put out my pre emergent and speedzone app. Hope I can get rid of it. Looks horrible in my lawn!
    Project lawn. Looking good!

    I recently ordered some products from Johnathan Green including the product that decreases pH and one for moss control. I plan on using Love Your Soil especially in the area I'm planting a privacy hedge because it's a lot of clay. In another month or so I'll give the Veri-Green a try.

    Possibly annual rye if you pull it up and notice purple roots. Usually the heat will take it out.

    The Johnathan Green looks like its the ticket. I've used their products and have been pleased. That's looking great out there at the church. The poa I know you'll get it under control. I know bagging has really made a difference in the amount of poa in my lawn. Going to try and bag again this year as well. Have a great day gonna be in the mid 70s here in the western Piedmont. Press on sir.

      You are correct. I'm comfortable knowing we can handle the poa as time goes on.

    Those little purple flowers - I've never had them before but this spring they're all over my yard. No idea what they are or where they came from. Richmond VA.

    My entire backyard for the past 2 years has been consisting of annual bluegrass, wild violet and orchard grass. I am struggling to get any real grass to grow. My soil ph is good but my soil is still really compacted. I can hardly get a screwdriver down into it.

      Rent a aerator from home depot dont re use the plugs, and fill the whole lawn with good soil.

    Certainty kills poa. Use the high rate.

    • @MrFergusonLawn
      @MrFergusonLawn  10 месяцев назад

      Tenacity? Per the label, does not kill poa annua. It’s labeled to suppress it only.

      @MrFergusonLawn not Tenacity, but Certainty. Certainty is the name of the herbicide.

    Geez, just what you wanted to see, another "Nightmare of Poa". Seems to me that it was the heaviest near the fence line. Wonder why? But regardless of it, still looks a lot better than it did. Looking forward to the fall of 2024 after you have done your DIY magic.

      Maybe the heated metal of the fence, i dunno. I get poa near the asphalt of the road.

    Did you just admit you don't cut your own lawn?

    • @MrFergusonLawn
      @MrFergusonLawn  10 месяцев назад

      😂 what? This is our project lawn at our church lol. We have a guy that cuts the whole property. However, I prefer to bring my mower and cut it bc I can bag it. Of course mow my own lawn.
