I feel like that's the point of the scene. When we see the flare it's despair and hope together. Jinx's. Ours. Vi's. But when Vi sees it. The hope wins for just a moment. It was a beautiful glimmer. It definitely made me cry.
2:18 was a truly haunting yet beautiful, I've never seen any cinematic delivery of such - to carry the weight of killing your best friends, and have to see their dead faces everyday of your life. Four short seconds explained how Powder became Jinx, she was driven crazy by her guilt. I was exploded with goosebumps and tears when this scene hit me - every damn time!
I also love the synchronization of the lyrics "you play" with the face that seem to almost sing the line at that point with the expression of despair and pain. This song's lyrics say so much about the mental transition.
1:50 is my fav part cos of the way Jinx just releases it; it's like she's releasing that last bit of hope and "Powder" within her into the universe like a last plea or scream for freedom and peace.
Yup. You could argue that this is the last scene where we see Powder. After this she slowly decends to madness and the dinner scene from last episode is just a symbolic one, the choice was already made long before it. I think Jinx is the main character in this arch and probably will be for the next one where we might see the coming of Warwick blitz and complete change of Victor.
But then Ekko intervened with the firelights... I wonder how it would have played out if they had just sat back and watched. Its interesting to think that Ekko is also responsible for what happened to Vander since he (as little man) gave Vi and the others the tip off for the job in Piltover
The flare holds so much symbolism, it's like she's letting out all her suppressed hope out after being under Silco's care. She still wants Vi and misses her and her suppressed hope allowed her to gather the courage to pull out the very flare Vi gave to her all those years ago.
2:18 My favorite scene. I identify with that moment. Jinx calling for her loved one, while behind her is the weight of her traumas. That scene reminded me of my dead best friend Oscar. I cried a lot for him. I love him so much and will always miss him
Guilt is such a powerful thing, yet individual in so many ways. And yet your words, I understand them perfectly. We carry a similar pain, I think, and though it may never truly lesson, I hope you learn how to shift the weight of it. Good luck out there and you have my condolences.
yea I also relate to my constant failure, and so I was called a “jinx”. And then realizing “they” were right when I ended up killing my closest friends while trying to help… oh and then I was beaten and rejected by my own sister while having a mental breakdown. 🤪🤪🤪 totally relatable
@@gwd5119 They didn't mention anything about relating to the exact actions of Jinx, they related to her guilt. Many people do I'm sure. This is one of my favorite scenes in the show I think; Silco losing his composure is great (he doesn’t just scream in rage he stumbles around in pure rage and then screams), Vi flipping off that random guy was funny, the whole scene with Jinx was tragic especially seeing Clagger and Mylo are always “there” with her to remind of her of her mistake.
The part when she pushed the guy kinda annoyed me but I also liked it… it felt like smthn outta gta with the push and her initial expression but then when she flipped em off and looked up it was just perfecr
Also if you noticed in 3rd episode when camera was vertical way up to Silco when he came to Powder, the rain drops were appearing on screen, making it look like it was real camera. They made damn sure that Arcane will be not only masterpiece of storytelling, but also will create a whole new standard in animation.
One of my favorite scenes of all time. It’s truly a masterpiece. The amount of detail they put into this whole show is just… unbelievable. You can feel every one of Jinx’s emotions. Her guilt, her sorrow, her hope, her relief. That quick moment when she realized things might be alright, if she has Vi. You can feel Vi’s anger and eagerness to find her sister. Silco’s blind rage as he kicks and kicks. Even in Mylo and Claggor’s faces for those few seconds (the way Jinx sees them). This scene is so beautiful.

This song is about the relationship between Jinx and Silco. The first verse of this song is about Jinx. Its about how her world is unraveling, and sings of a child whose world has lit on fire. The second verse is about Silco. He loses his cool when "his marionettes cut their strings and run away." The one he sold like a gun for Hire is Jinx.
I was a bit disappointed that the Glasses Guy didn't come back as a Shimmer Monster to buy Vi and Caitlyn some time. It's kinda like him repaying Vander for helping him with negotiations.
Great thing Riot/league of legends had already great control of “show no tell” cinematic...and that they kept all animation production close to new animators they could control and trust to fix any mistakes....example when Vi saw jinx light up the object she could’ve used her words and say “it’s my sister” or” I found her “but they never add such useless monologues to express what someone’s thinking or what actions they choosing...even jinx’s remaining hope and trauma was shown without using words to describe her situation If most anime’s could pull this off “ show no tell “ then even basic plot stories anime’s would still be captivating to most audiences.
Man, this edit was super good!! I honestly love that moment, and the song playing in it. Guns For Hire is such a beautiful song, with so much symbolism with the moment!! It all just culminates to make a truly beautiful, but tragic moment!! I almost teared up. It was just such a sad moment.

THE BEST SCENE
I was a bit disappointed that the Glasses Guy didn't come back as a Shimmer Monster to buy Vi and Caitlyn some time.
It's kinda like him repaying Vander for helping him with negotiations.
You can't turn back the dead one
Essa cena ainda é muito foda ai se tivesse mais uma temporada pra arcane eu acharia maravilhoso ❤
This scene is a literal masterpiece
I'll admit, I've cried.
Love this scene so much passion and beauty in it
Don't get me wrong but when watched this show it had me wishing I was vi and jinx's little brother.
My favourite scene and now one of my favourite songs
I love your video🇲🇽🇲🇽
This is so good!!
This scene was worth the wait the built up is so emotion i was praying that vi find her I love there relationship😢😢😢😢😢
Awesome
that scene was fire!
The best scene so far
Goosebumps...just...goosebumps
Great thing Riot/league of legends had already great control of “show no tell” cinematic...and that they kept all animation production close to new animators they could control and trust to fix any mistakes....example when Vi saw jinx light up the object she could’ve used her words and say “it’s my sister” or” I found her “but they never add such useless monologues to express what someone’s thinking or what actions they choosing...even jinx’s remaining hope and trauma was shown without using words to describe her situation
If most anime’s could pull this off “ show no tell “ then even basic plot stories anime’s would still be captivating to most audiences.
God those eerie strings just give me goosebumps
The best series ever made
Man, this edit was super good!! I honestly love that moment, and the song playing in it. Guns For Hire is such a beautiful song, with so much symbolism with the moment!! It all just culminates to make a truly beautiful, but tragic moment!! I almost teared up. It was just such a sad moment.
Love how it cuts between vi and Silvio In the same pose showing them as the two role models of powder/jinx
Insane song
this scene gave me so much tears
2:18 soy lágrimas en esta parte :')
Shivers.. everytime
