You seriously just saved my life from this video! I was crying when I saw my iPhone go into the recovery mode and this video was simple and helped me get my phone back to exactly how it was. @coffeetofee ok i had the same problem. can you get it into dfu mode??if so run ireb to get into pwned dfu mode then restore. It is possible that you messed up your ipod and it cant be fixed unless you restore.
You can also do a normal restore if you dont care about jailbreaking

@shazaib4 you have to go into your devices (if you have a mac) and disable then enable the usb ports

Just follow the video, download and run two programs. Once the second programme is installed, click on a button with your iPhone attached to your computer and BOOM!! Problem solved! Cheers dude.

this worked for me, the latest version of ireb. thanks, after almost 10hrs of trying different procedures.
I got iPod touch 1st gen that charges perfectly fine, but the computer wont recognize a portable device has been hooked up AND iTunes doesnt recognize it either. The computer doesnt "bling" when I hook it up, nothing happens. It will only show 2 screens & I cant use it. It shows only the iTunes music cd with a USB sign OR it will get out of that mode & show the same thing but with the battery simbal in the top right coner. I bought it used so IDK if its been jail broken. What do I do?????
@austinisme2477 At the time there was no 4g or if there was I try to aviod saying it doesnt work for 4g cause they might change it.

me too i am in recovery mode after my ios6 update and when i connect it to iTunes to restore it,theres some type of error message me if somebody messages u about how to fix it i am going to what the this video says to see if it fixs

do you have a solution for macs? the downloads i have are .exe... for windows, i'm guessing?
How do you download the right LIBUSB? cause I downloaded something different I guess. So when I right click it, the option "compability" wont show up.

@technologycrazy i downloaded the new version ehrn i finish holding the home button , a window pops up and says ''Open iTunes and press shift+restore'' i open itunes an i press shift+restore , and another window pops up and it wants me to open something something that it doesent tell me ... what should i open ?

before, i used the erase all content and setting. after that, its been on the apple logo for hours. I've tried to get it out of recovery but it always end up back at apple logo

omg. i need help. i downloaded the ireb and libusb, then when finally i gotta click the last step, which is to click the ipod 3g. ( but my ipod is 4g, have to try it like others) i reboot my laptop, because im using a plug in i-net connection. it says there that no modem detected. because of the libusb. so my connection is disconnected. so i have to un install the libusb for my drivers can recognise the other usb device. HELP me justin!

i have ipod touch 2G , i installed byta font 2 days ago and choose any font ( donT remember what i'm choosing) installed font, and it says "restart springboard", clicked it then not restarting again.... Touch is booting, apple logo is comin to screen but donT open... What can i do?

i don't know whats wrong with me but i can never get the right file from yours or anyone else file links. you said the Libusb file i need was in your link, but its not the Libusb file in your link doesn't have a compatible windows xp (service pack 2) selection. only windows 95 windows 2000 and so on. but no windows xp selection.
so what do i do now?

I need help. So this was like 1 1/2 year ago? Anyways, I went ice skating and i totally forgot i had my ipod (2nd gen) in the back pocket,ended up i falling on it. I got a dent into it.Underneath the 8gb thing. My laptop or iTunes will not recognize it. I've tried many Recovery mode video suggestion and it still wont work. this is really strange, I have a 32gb iPod touch 4g with ios 5.0.1 and failing to put it in dfu mode it went to recovery mode and shown that picture with the usb and itunes, I held down power and home until the apple logo came up and then it started up fine.
I feel like you need an apple commuter for all this and how do u unzip files
