You should have told you need to purchase from Dr.Fone to use them
That's very expensive though. It's not free.
For something that Apple is screwing up on, and the hours of downtime and research that the user has to put into fixing it, it shouldn't cost anything. I'd rather put the $100 Cdn towards a new tablet.
TechMagnet Dr.fone is a money grab. Don't use it. You can get a store person that fixes smart phones to fix yours for a lot less

IPad 2 stuck in recovery mode. Apple tech over phone and then at Apple store were unable to help. Both said that the only solution was to "Restore" it, which would wipe out everything on it. As the device hadn't been backed up, this just wasn't an option. I tried everything else here on RUclips without success. This procedure saved me! I'm very grateful as this IPad belongs to my 90 year-old Dad, and has his whole life story on it, in words and pictures, and is priceless and irreplaceable.
Needless to say, the first thing I did after recovering it was to back it up.

+ITXtutor Again, I can't really convey how much this means to both my Dad and I! And to think that I spent 3 hours in an Apple store with one of their techs who ended up telling me that there was NOTHING that could be done with the ipad except to restore it back to the factory settings, which would wipe out everything on it. I don't know what's up with Apple, but they have totally lost me as a customer. I'm sticking to android from now on. Once again, THANK YOU for uploading this procedure to RUclips! I just wish that I had tried it 1st, rather than spending pretty much the whole day trying just about every one of the other supposed fixes on RUclips. which version of RedSnow are you using?
Got the same error at IPAD1, when I click at Recover Fix, nothing happens, and the combination to DFU mode is provided to follow, but it does not work, just like in the video
I have an iPad 2.. It's got ios7 and it is saying it needs to be charged, yet when I plug it in it goes onto the apple sign and then goes onto the lock screen for less than a second.. Then just does it again.. Any tips on how to fix it?

I am thinking about throwing mine into the river or mailing it back to Apple. Maybe all of us with this problem should just like have a mass burial or something very public. lol. Mine hasn't worked since November of 2013. I use my dh's iphone 4 and will never update the ios again.

it asks me if it wants me to protect my computer or not and there is some kinds of treat? so which one do I choose? protect or just continue? if I continue the treat will not be removed but if I protect it its not going to let me download? pls help!!! It works!!!Just search how to enter DMU mode!And open the redsnow thingy!ANd leave the rest to your phone.(Might take awhile)

hey does this work if your phone is not jailbroken? i have an iphone 3gs stuck in recovery mode and it is NOT jailbroken, i dont want to restore it through itunes because then it will put the new ios 6.1.3 on it and i dont want that, the phone has like 5.1.1 or lower on it now and i would like to keep it like that, thanks for any help

It doesn't recognise it because it's jailbroke, you've fucked up... And Apple won't help since you fucked with it.
whenever I install a IOS from redsnow, I get a IPSW file, and not a folder or an .exe
I can't do horseshit with the ipsw file. Please help?
