- To fix an iPhone error 4013, follow these steps, in this order:
Install the latest version of iTunes.
Force restart the iPhone or iPad.
Connect the device to iTunes and update it.
Check for updates on the Mac or PC.
Try a different USB cable.
Restore using a different computer.
Contact Apple.
if you don't get error code - 4013, please follow this instructions

-Update iTunes On Your Computer.
-Reboot Your Computer.
-Hard Reset Your iPhone When It's Plugged Into The Computer.
-Try A Different Lightning / USB Cable.
-Use A Different USB Port Or Computer.
-DFU Restore Your iPhone.
-If All Else Fails: Options For Repairing Your iPhone.

Worked perfect. Although I am still a bit confused as to why lol. I know the hosts file is for ip name resolution. How it would affect the restore is still a mystery.
Didn't work 4 me as well in ip xs max. Still 4013 error. After i delete the hosts file comes 3004 error. How do i fix it?

Hey man! my iphone 11 pro screen is blinking with apple logo, I applied the method, blinking disappeared but even holding the power button more than 30 sec there is no connecting with computer option showing up so I released the button and again blinking..

What if the ipod touch keeps appearing this “ipod touch was in dfu mode but restarted. Disconnect the device and put in dfu mode again” it keeps pop-uping even if i tried to put in dfu mode many times.

HI PLEASE HELP ME IT'S URGENT! So I have my iPhone X on boot loop. I did the restore & update option from iTunes (it downloaded the update on the PC). It was all great until i had to restore the iPhone with the recovery mode. When the restore proccess begins it should show up the apple logo with a loding stripe under it, but for me it shows up the apple logo and shuts down the phone 8 seconds after it and then turns on automactlly and goes on recovery mode. PLEASE HELP ME I NEED MY PHONE RN!!!
Put your device in recovery mode and set it up again
Make sure that your Mac is up to date. If you're using iTunes, make sure you have the latest version of iTunes.
On a Mac with macOS Catalina or later, open Finder. On a Mac with macOS Mojave or earlier, or on a PC, open iTunes. If iTunes is already open, close it, then open it again. Find out which macOS your Mac is using.
Keep your device connected and wait until the recovery mode screen appears:
iPhone 8 or later, including iPhone SE (2nd generation): Press and quickly release the volume up button. Press and quickly release the volume down button. Then, press and hold the side button until you see the recovery mode screen.
@@MPWorLDTech Thanks for the reply. When I'm in the recovery mode and i download the software on my PC, it should ho and restore the iPhone. When it shows the apple logo for the restoration it suddenly shuts down for no reason so I can't continue with the iTunes process

@@ringking7728 I tried to set it up again but on the restore option it would turn off and not let me continue the setup. So i opened it and removed the sensor of the face id and it works without it

You have to restore your iPhone through iTunes this is the only way. But sometimes this error happens. You can’t try with another pc and make sure latest iOS is downloaded on that iTunes, now just hit on restore iPhone

This will work on iPad if you get trouble with the installation please try with a different PC. You need to download OS for your iPad on that PC and try it from there
