Apple authorised service center said they are unable to fix and recommended going for a new device. They said this was a hardware issue. The "idiot" bar folks literally didn't do anything apart from what i could do at home ... which was connect to a mac and attempt recovery and update. If it had worked, they would have charged me INR 1800 for this "service" because my device was out of warranty. I googled for alternative software to try and attempt recovery, but all of them were super expensive. I then searched on youtube and came across this post. Daniel, thank you so much. All I did was just recharge it first (1-2hours) then plug out the charger from iPhone, and wait for 1-2 hours. WOW! Fantastic sir thank you so much! I was originally stuck in a boot loop out of nowhere when this whole issue started. When I tried to fix with iTunes I got the 4013 error (iPhone 7). After a few tries I was stuck in recovery mode. This worked like a charm.

To everyone desperately looking for a method for this issue: I lost all hope, but it actually worked! I also had the issue, that my phone storage was absolutely full and my iPhone 8 was stuck in this bootloop and then in recovery mode. Tried a bunch of things and read a lot of information but in the end, what really worked for me was: 1. get in recovery mode 2. connect your phone to iTunes on your Computer. If possible use the best Equipment (like orignal Apple-Cable and USB 3.0 pot) 3. Try to install the update until it the ERROR 9, or 1100 or 14 or some other number pops up 4. unplug your phone repeat steps 1.-4. until it actually installs the update. You should be able to see that for some tries the loading bar actually gets further than on others, but that's kind of what motivated me to keep trying. I had to go for about 20 tries. Maybe it's quicker for you, maybe longer, but in the end it actually worked despite of my believes. Wishing your best of luck !

Yep, this app is a scam. “Free” version will act like its downloading firmware and like its about to do something but when it comes time to perform the only option it gives you is to cough up $40. I should have known better but was desperate for a fix for my bricked $1000 phone that’s now a paperweight.

2. connect your phone to iTunes on your Computer. If possible use the best Equipment (like orignal Apple-Cable and USB 3.0 pot)
3. Try to install the update until it the ERROR 9, or 1100 or 14 or some other number pops up
4. unplug your phone repeat steps 1.-4. until it actually installs the update.
You should be able to see that for some tries the loading bar actually gets further than on others, but that's kind of what motivated me to keep trying.
I had to go for about 20 tries. Maybe it's quicker for you, maybe longer, but in the end it actually worked despite of my believes. Wishing your best of luck !

@@lifeofboogiee Sadly I’ve been to the nearest apple store and they said they have to restore it which is not really what I want considering that I can restore it myself but I’m going to find away to fix it without losing my data that wasn’t fully backed up

I keep getting an error code when I try to update my phone via itunes or even restore and wipe it. It has been stuck in recovery mode since 11am this morning it is now 1am the next day. Any advice... Apple were no help.

Mony Hatchet im using iPhone X and this app does help when i first use it. I kept ur data as it only help ur phone exit recovery mode. If ur phone still doesnt turn on after exit recovery mode, u can put it on power using the original cable. Mine turn on after some time. Yes i did update my IOS

Yep, this app is a scam. “Free” version will act like its downloading firmware and like its about to do something but when it comes time to perform the only option it gives you is to cough up $40.
