@@TheTyisawesomeit really is part of racing, yesterday and today was the 24hrs of Spa. It’s a bunch of GT3 cars, and there was so many crashes during the race, almost 30 yellow flags/safety car.
One thing that not a lot of people talk about when it comes to automatic vs manual is that in a manual you have a clutch and that can help a LOT in corners especially when you're trying to get rotation out of the car to turn in where you don't have to hit the breaks or lift and you can keep the RPM and boost up
When I had my First Accident on the street by a dumb lady. My mental state was devasted I been driving since 8 Years old and I get you man but you 100% learn

Good news of FH5 (for those who don't know) The time attack mitsubishi got an update and now a v8 and a rally engine can be swapped in so it's usable online!

I remember Jimmer talking about similar doubts and being shot mentally back with the Praga when he spun it at like 130 mph. That first experience seems to knock everyone mentally even if the car doesn't end up in the wall. The good thing was seeing that you were able to still race and weren't to shot to do that. Keep it up Nick and i'm sure you'll get better, those greasy inbetween conditions seem the hardest to race in so don't beat yourself up too much for droping it

We run 2 stock 2023 GR86s at the NurburgRing on the Tourist weekends. 1 Auto and 1 Manual, and one of our guys hit the wall in an almost identical accident to yours. We now never drive them fast when the track is wet as that small hit cost him 10k Euro to repair. I would say the Auto is better as you can concentrate on driving fast but I usually drive the manual
Not sure what they changed with the gen 2 automatic, but the gen 1 will let you downshift all you want with the only safeguard of stopping the shift if it knows that will over rev the engine. I can skip gears on downshift by flicking the paddle quick enough so long as it stays under redline, the auto blip is beyond satisfying, and there's a lot of feedback from it. Shift too late, you'll feel it. Too early, goodbye powerband. Upshift right at 7200rpm and no lower than 2000 without the blip and it's golden.
If you’re still having confidence issues go and do some autocross. I don’t know about the others but I’d love to see a video on it and it is purely about car control not to mention it’s very fun!

me and my friend hit 3 trees in under a month by drifting in the dirt and mud and 1 time we were doing 70 kph(40mph) head on to a tree me and my friend blacked out and everything in the car dident work before the lights ,blinkers,whipers,middle of the dash was gone doors dident open that well and the front and back bumper were gone

It depends though, if you're used to really drive a manual, it's the best daily driver than automatic because it's more efficient.
