Oh yes, San Diego is a must see! It's one of my favorite destinations in California. If you can, stay at the Hotel Del - even if for one night. If not, you can have lunch or a drink there! Enjoy!
Thanks so much for the nice comment! I'm always so happy to hear feedback and it really means a lot to me. Hope you have fun on that zip line. I rode it twice and had so much fun! Take care, Veronica
Coming from a now Boise guy, I really miss my hometown San Diego. I'm tearing up just typing this. So homesick. Miss ya'll in SD. Live long and prosper. 619 Forever!!
I am a san diego native, a great beach is Del Mar 15th street.. or just Del Mar :) Instead of visiting, you should live here. It is seriously the best city ever. I'm proud to call myself a san diegan :)))
Going to San Diego was so spledid that I think it has saved our marriage! Yes, we really needed this break away from the agressive Gulf south to the happy people that inhabit San Diego. Thanks for just being your ultra friendly selves. Can't wait to come back again.
Looks beautiful! I've never been to California but for some reason I think that San Diego is perhaps the best city in California. San Francisco seems too snotty and LA too ghetto.
Haha. I have lived in San Diego my whole life and I have visited both San Fran and LA. I'd say that some parts of LA are the snottiest in the state. Beverly Hills, parts of Hollywood, etc. The people of San Fran aren't necessarily snotty; San Diego is better because San Fran seems to always be gloomy.
tourist attractions: light house, oldtown, belmont park, san diego zoo, seaport village, soak city(soon turned much improved in the summer), coronado beach, seaworld, legoland, downtown, and plenty more. these are just some that popped out of my head. but, what i hate is that san diego this year has been getting cold weather lately, or either is having bipolar weather. but i'm sure that during the summer it'll be sunny for most days. enjoy your trip! you'll love it. i lived there for 13 years.
I love watching this video! I'll be in San Diego for the Comic-Con and the other tourist spots in this video. I shared this video to my friends who might be interested in touring California.
I am from San Diego but now live in Columbus Ohio which is a great city also but when I watched this video it brought tears to my eye ,It's a great video.
GREAT VIDEO! I love Loews Coronado Bay and the Hotel del Coronado! We love Silver Strand Beach and La Jolla. Great shopping and dining everywhere in SD.
I'm moving back to San Diego this week. I left San Diego when I was only 3 ( I'm 16 now ) so I don't remember anything about it. I'm so excited to move back & check out all of these places!!
I'm an Oceanside resident, and have been for nearly 13 years----and I've never felt more at home than I have here in San Diego County. And this is someone who's lived in Los Angeles County, Orange County, and the Inland Empire. I'm a definitive Southern Californian and proud of it. And I did take a year detour in Hawaii---and yes, I got Island Fever pretty bad. So I had to come home to where I belong :)
@jonharana I agree! The San Diego County Fair holds the San Diego International Beer Festival every year, which is a great place to sample local craft beers.
Closing in on just a few days before our first trip to Cali.. never been! I'm very excited.. the family deserves a great vacation. Its been 5 years since we last had one; we went to Florida!
I used to always go to San Diego when I was a kid. Still do, but not as much as before. I mostly go to L.A. , but when I get older I'm going to move to SD. Best place EVERrrr! Wether and everything.
I can't even explain in words how much I love San Diego. I always stay at The Catamaran Resort Hotel on Mission Bay, then for the last few days, the Marriott Hotel & Marina. Great Video, it reminds me of how great San Diego is, and also gave me new ideas for when I go there next. I'll have to try that zip line and go on The Midway next time. Great Video!
I've lived in San Diego for 6 months.. and I miss every single second I spent there!! The place is so gorgeous that when I relocated to the SF Bay Area, my first time off from work was... a weekend in San Diego :)
Just came back from San Diego. We stayed at the Manchester Hyatt near Gaslamp District. ALWAYS something to do!! It was walking distance to the food/shopping, nice real estate, the trolley, and the people were so nice (as usual). I've wanted to move there for 10 years but now I really think I'm going to do it. And the nightlife was fantastic in Gaslamp district!!
I used to live in San Diego (Nov 2007 - July 2009) and LOVED every minute of it. I had to move to boring ol' North Carolina last summer...Yesterday I found out that I get to TRANSFER back to SoCal with my job, so San Diego here I come, again!
San Diego is a great place to live :)not to hot and not to cold perfect weather nice places to go to visit and have fun :) gotta love San Diego been living here all my life 20 years :)
In the late 70s I was in the Navy, stationed in SD. It's a very easy place to fall in love with. I've only visited there twice in the last thirty years but, I hope to someday move back.
@CaliforniaTravelTips Thanks. I'm not your typical transplant that wants to take over San Diego. When I first moved here, I thought this place was laid back and pretty awesome. Totally different from the Midwest and I liked that. Then attitudes towards me changed when the natives found out I was a transplant. A lot of the negativity I think about this town is because of the natives. San Diego really is an awesome place no matter how I feel about it.
I went there on a field trip and it was such a nice city, I stayed at a naval base and got to see the midway and maritime museum, took a ride on an amphibious assault ship, went to seaworld, went to the zoo, saw the air and space museum, saw the tide pools, and swam in the pacific ocean all in 5 days. I miss it actually.
Lived here all my life (14yrs) and to this day San Diego is still breathtaking! It has everything from beaches to the inland valleys mountains and deserts!! All very close too! U should really visit here, no wonder they call it " Americas Finest City"!!
I have visited SD last year; it was amazing and unforgettable time. Unfortunately it was a short business trip. I hope one day, I could visit it again. 10x for the video Greetings from Lebanon
Moving to San Diego in January or March and we can't wait to leave New Hampshire. The wife and I decided that it was time to find our place in the sun and San Diego was her first choice. It's pet friendly, people friendly, sunny, affordable and it has good job opportunities for what we do. With Hurricane Sandy barreling in, the cold weather coming soon and fuel prices going through the roof, time to get while the getting is good. Flip flops, boat drinks and long sandy beaches here we come.
I am a San Diegan. Born in La Mesa. I lived in El Cajon. For people who want to come visit. So much to, do so little time. i always loved going to Seaport Village and Mission beach. Now i live in L,A. Where people are to scuffy and superior to have a friendly conversation with. While i do like the sights here. I miss SD. And everytime i visit my friends in El Cajon i'm thinkin, "this is where i'm supposed to live. I'm from here, this is home" Good Review Cali travel tips
Hi! Thanks for the kind words. That means a lot to us! The zip line opened earlier this year. It's a lot of fun! We have a separate video about the zip line if you want to check it out. I hope you get to visit the animal park and go on the zip line. You'll have a blast! Take care, Veronica
San Diego's great - I loved living there. I moved next door to Tijuana. In so many words, I moved to TJ because I'm a virtual foreign exchange student. For me it's like living next to the best of both worlds. You can rent a virtual mansion in Tijuana for far less than you'd pay for the same mansion in San Diego. I can live in San Diego or Tijuana but for now I choose TJ.
San Diego is one place I have not yet been so I plan to get there on my next California trip. as you say there seems to be a lot to do. That Hotel del Coronado is incredible - what a treasure! I also look forward to trying out some of the fine local cuisine and some of the locally made wines. (btw I have been sipping on some California Zinfandel from the Lodi area...)
I used to love visiting San Diego.
... Now I love living in San Diego!!
San Diego is where all the action is! Our guests are always asking us for tips, so we will be sure to recommended some RUclips videos like this!

Yes, it is a good place for living. All four seasons are beautiful.
I'm moving to San Diego with my sister this March, I'm so excited. It's so gorgeous.
I know what you're saying. We love Hawaii, but you get that rock fever pretty quickly. But the snorkeling over there is amazing!!! Love Shark's Cove.
just came back from san diego and went to all of the attractions, really loved the relaxed vibe in coronado!
Great representation of our beautiful San Diego
tourist attractions: light house, oldtown, belmont park, san diego zoo, seaport village, soak city(soon turned much improved in the summer), coronado beach, seaworld, legoland, downtown, and plenty more. these are just some that popped out of my head.

Great video! Keep up the fantastic work!
I made a trip from San Diego all the way to San Francisco and San Diego was by far the best experience.
