- California travel expert Veronica Hill and husband Jason Hill share their guide to Disneyland California in this episode of "California Travel Tips."
In this Disneyland video, we'll take you on a tour of the Disneyland Resort and share some of our favorite Disneyland tips with you.
Try to buy your Disneyland tickets online so you don't have to hassle with the lines when you arrive. If you're staying in one of the Disneyland hotels, you can enjoy Magic Mornings, which allows early access into the park.
If you live in Southern California, it's worth your while to buy the Disneyland annual pass instead of a Disneyland ticket. It pays for itself after only three visits.
Disneyland Park is home to eight different lands spread across 85 acres. You can pick up a Disneyland map when you pass through the gates.
Be sure to check out the most popular Disneyland rides first, as they usually have the longest lines. Always try to use the Disneyland Fastpass service.
At the guest information board, you can find out about Disneyland character appearances, or the next Disneyland parade showtimes. Disneyland hours are extended during the summer until around midnight. Check their Web site for the daily schedule.
In this video, Veronica and Jason check out Splash Mountain, Disneyland Matterhorn and the Disneyland Haunted Mansion, which takes on a whole new feeling during the Disneyland holiday.
Other fun Disneyland Christmas attractions include Reindeer Roundup in Frontierland and the "Small World Holiday" in Fantasyland.
One of the most fun Disneyland secrets are the Hidden Mickeys. We found two on the Pirates of the Caribbean during our Disneyland trip.
Many Disneyland restaurants cater to special dietary needs, whether you're vegan, kosher or gluten free. Call ahead to Disneyland dining and they'll be happy to help you out. Most restaurants at Disneyland offer discounts to passholders.
If you want a good spot to see the Disneyland Fireworks, grab a seat in front of the Disneyland Castle a few hours before showtime.
One of our favorite Disneyland Tips: If your camera batteries go dead, take them to Main Street Photo Supply for a recharge.

I remember when I went to Disneyland when I was younger, my da and I would sit outside Snow White's ride and wait for the evil queen to appear. That was back when she only appeared on the hour. Now I guess she always opens the curtains every ten minutes or so. :) It reminds me of my da.

I go to Disneyland every year, it's been a family tradition since i was 3 months old. I've seen changes go throughout Disneyland, and i'm so thankful to get to experience the magic, we recently got an annual pass last year in april, and we went three times that year and saved a lot of money, :D annual passes are making the experience even better, especially with the new attractions added! i'm so excited to be going soon, hopefully by february and before the expiration date in april~
I'm so fortunate to live in Southern California and be able to go to Disneyland whenever I feel like. Disneyland is truly the "Happiest Place on Earth".
This was one of my most favorite videos growing up. Definitely got me into loving Disneyland at a young age. Watching this in the middle of a global pandemic and the parks are closed until further notice (bet my younger self never pictured that!).
A lot has changed in the last 10 years but this video will always remind me of that warm Disney feeling!

That makes me so happy that this video brought you some joy. Our own kids suffered during the pandemic too and the damage done to our young kids by the schools and government is unacceptable.

I'm an annual passholder, and I found this to be a great video. The last time I went to Disneyland was in December, I've been living in Japan since... however, I'm excited to say I'm going home for the summer and will be making a 3-day trip to the happiest place on earth!!!!

It is separate, but you can buy a park hopper for a discounted price. Sometimes you can get discounts, but usually only military or SoCal. Sadly, this year the prices really went up across the board - even for the high-level Club 33 members.

Thanks! We were there for the 50th anniversary as well! Since I'm a journalist, they had us all down for three days to cover the events. The party was absolutely incredible, with tons of celebrities. Goo Goo Dolls performed out on Tom Sawyer island and they actually served us cocktails around New Orleans Square. I had an amazing time. Hope you get back to Disneyland soon! Veronica
Oh my gosh! I'm going in 5 days! It's been close to 14 years since my last trip back to the USA. And it's gonna be my 1st time to visit Disneyland! In my childhood it was always DisneyWorld but never DL! I'm soooo excited!

The ultimate is Disneyland. It's huge, and has amazing attractions. I'm afraid DisneyWORLD is the most beloved theme park.

So many memories of the time's I have been there , the first was in 1963 as a child , and several times since til 1993, sadly , as a teenager I was on the America Sings in 1974 when that tragedy happened , a dark memory for me , the best memory was in 1966 seeing Walt Disney himself shortly before he passed away, if you look to the right going down Main street the eternal light in the window of the second story above the fire station,Walt's living quarters, His Tribute, Thanks for posting ..
If you don't live in Southern Cal., I highly recommend the Premium Annual Pass. It has no blackout dates, includes parking, and can get you get the discounts at almost every store and restaurant. I had one for a year and it was the best thing I ever did. Great tips, I love Disneyland. A trip is really made better knowing all the things that you mention here! Also, I loved your dole whip shout out, it's seriously one of the best and cheapest treats to get at Disneyland in the summer!

The tip on the fireworks is not the best advice, but everything else is spot on.
We are surprising my son and step-daughter with a trip next month. I cant wait to see the look on their faces. We are driving from Phoenix and they will be asleep by the time we get to the Hotel so they will wake up in the park (staying at the Californian.).

I think Disneyland would be a great place to go! You're going to need to relax after that intense boot camp. What is your budget for a hotel? You can take the train (Amtrak) from San Diego to the Anaheim station. There are shuttles from there to Disneyland. Have fun!
