- Madame Web tries to connect many plots and people together to a confusing, yet ultimately bland result. It tries to balance the comedic tone of a modern superhero movie with what could be a more interesting psychological thriller if it invested more time on developing its hero and villain, rather than spreading itself thin trying to connect all these new versions of characters together. It fails as a one-off and a franchise starter, not telling a fulfilling origin story for Cassie nor giving a compelling argument for the future Spider-Women. The weak dialogue unfortunately stands out, but the few action set pieces harken to the older Spider-Man movies of the early 2000s.

Ign complains about every aspect of the movie then gives it a 5 lol
Seems like they like the actors choosen for each character (and that goes downhill since they dont appear to go through any important growth). So the acting may not be terrible despite the bad script. And it sounds like there are a few action scenes that are pretty cool but cant hold the movie together.
A complete waste of time but not mind numingly terrible

We all know this movie was only made so that Sony doesn't have to give marvel the rights back to Spider-Man
regarding Ezekiel walking on bare foot and gray hair thats how he looks in the comics plus he's not supposed to be a villain.. he is a neutral character in the comics

Should have made more comic book accurate movies focusing on Julia Carpenter as Spider Woman and Anya Corazon as Arana.
Should just have stayed away from more insufferable girlbosses full stop. Market is saturated with these awful chatacters...

"Madame web as a movie could be commenting on how girls are forced to grow up at a young age while men rebel against this show of maturity with violence and manipulation(but you'd have to search real hard for that)" might be one of the dumbest sentences I've ever heard come out of someones mouth.... Especially considering as you said yourself it's not part of the plot but also secondly because it is utter nonsense. Imagine if some male nobody movie reviewer said that about women, I'm sure you would be the first to complain about it.

Madame Web is a truly _dynamic_ character.
Well, thinking about it. But honestly Madame web should’ve been introduced through Doctor Strange. And then became its own things from there. In the context of events that already happened. It would make perfect sense that Madame web. Would have a few words for Doctor Strange.

You guys really need a better rating system from how you review a media, yet overrate what you described.

Slept like baby cold movie theater, no one there to make a single noise loved it. Had to ask the projector guy if who lowered the volume down a bit. Other than that, thanks, Sony.
