I really enjoy transparent wc with all the glazes. Sometimes I even use a light pyrol orange underneath to show how the sun comes through. Your comment on using or carrying over the red to the green is so important and I hope students don’t fear that. Practicing a layer process with those complimentary colors creates that lovely neutral and works every time. This is the real deal on learning the most important techniques in watercolor and look, anyone can learn. So becoming super familiar with how your paint works and just blending will help give a boost to your work. Awesome tutorials and techniques and thank you for sharing your knowledge on the regular RUclips videos. There are many classes and costs but this way a student could feel that they are your only student learning directly without the interruptions or repeated boring basics. Way to go!
Thank you Jennie! ❤️ I really appreciate your thoughtful feedback. It’s not always easy to show more advanced techniques on RUclips - as a platform it very much favours quick and easy tutorial formats, but I am doing my best because there is so much more to Watercolor than 1 layer quick sketches. That said, not everyone has the patience (or the right paper) so it’s a balance 💗
Of all the reds used, which one do you recommend to use with the sap green leaves? And how did you make your decision? Thank you so much for taking the time to answer these details, it’s greatly appreciated.❤
Lovely tutorial! My struggle with these kind of paintings is to make them look cohesive. They tend to look quiet messy when I try, I guess it's a matter of trial an error but it's so frustrating 😅🖌
Thank you for a not so “beginner” class for the RUclips students. After learning so many beginners’ RUclips tutorials, I am eager to go to the next level. Finally, I found you. My biggest take-away in this tutorial is to bring the sunlight into the painting by applying the warm reds, and cool reds. Thank you so much for a great instruction. ❤
I’m painting a reddish door & first wash was red rose deep. I believe it’s a cool & each layer darken’s into more a light burgundy? Know could use green for shadow but is there another (red/burgundy) that will not make mud! Tyvm as putting some yellow first adds so much! Ty for these tutorials as just beginning!
This is brilliant! I paint a lot of clothing in my watercolours and red is tricky, so I’m watching this with baited breath! Thank you, I’ve just discovered your channel and I’m enjoying everything so much 🤗
Hi Anna. Question please. I have W&N Perm.Aliz.Crimson and also QoR. W&N says there's is cool. However you include it in your warm ???. I noticed they even have different pigment numbers, so Im quite confused. thank you.
Thank you Jo!❤️ I am debating adding a background but also want to move on to fall themed paintings… 😵💫 so much to catch up on now that kids are finally in school!!!! 😊 hope you are having a wonderful weekend!
@@AnnaBucciarelli it looks very nice without background! After so many recent paintings with background it’s ok to leave one without as a reminder that there is always this option 🙂
Just beginning but my biggest issue is trying to draw anything but mountain’s. How do ppl who can paint but not draw be able to do these beautiful roses (as love glazing) but do not know if can print an un colored image so can try one? Tyvm!!
Hello from Alberta! Your videos are among my absolute favourite as I learn the various techniques. Unfortunately, I do find that I’m unable to grasp what painting technique you’re applying at any given moment (i.e., wet on wet, wet on dry or damp on damp), and this has led to some pretty bad results. Can I coax you into dropping a hint about your technique as you show us these incredible combinations of Color, depth, blending, etc. Thank you!
Nicole, I generally favour Quinacridone pigments, and here is a video on my top 10 favourite ruclips.net/video/VPLfzXQbTOc/видео.html but of course it would depend on a specific flower 😊

Exquisite ❣

Please make a video on how to choose background colour 🙂
So interesting thanks
Beautiful, keep safe and may God bless you always, I do DIY and recycling, friend from Philippines
Such beautiful work.
Thank you ❤️
What is your strategy for developing a color plan?

Beautiful. What pigments did you use for leaves? TY.
Such a informative video..love your style? I was wondering if you can paint some food next to a flower?
Do you have a total list of your favorite flower paint colors that you use the most?
Nicole, I generally favour Quinacridone pigments, and here is a video on my top 10 favourite ruclips.net/video/VPLfzXQbTOc/видео.html but of course it would depend on a specific flower 😊
When you add 2nd layer or 3rd layer, do you need to wet the paper with clean water first, just to create soft transition?
I don’t wet again - painting wet on dry
@@AnnaBucciarelli Thank you for quick answer. Very helpful!
Hi Anne, I love your work❤. I was wondering… do you have trace drawings on Patreon now.
Do you have these videos with other colors?
Not yet but I will, starting with blues. This pandemic delayed all my plans 😫
What kind of paper are you using?
Mostly arches cold pressed, occasionally @winsorandnewton cold pressed
@@AnnaBucciarelli Thank you so much! I love all your work! So beautiful!
Have you written a book?
Hi Rebecca, I am actually in conversations with a publisher at the moment. Will definitely post when there is a more concrete update:) Thank you!
