What a lovely alternative to wire wrapping, I usually like to pick up sea glass from my local beach and the only thing I’d do with them is wire wrapping. But I also love to crochet, so thanks for the inspiration for something different to do with my collected sea glass pieces!

Oh, what a great idea! I used to live on an island close to Vancouver where there was always so much sea glass to find. There isn't so much where I live now on the east coast of Vancouver Island.

@@createandcrochetwithpatricia I live in the county of Cumbria along the far North West coast of England. I’m lucky to have lots of beaches to explore nearby and it’s usually fairly easy to find some. 😊 I’ve been to Vancouver and Vancouver Island travelling many years ago, and it’s one of my favourite places!

@@StephanieSharp2 I agree about this area! I have been to Umbria many years ago and I found that coast to be truly magical!

Thank you for a wonderful video & great directions. I love rocks & have so many in different colored jars & can't wait to crochet around them with different color threads. Thank you for sharing. 😊😊😊

So cute, I make big ones for paper weights or door stops & cut out a doily for the centre then start my crochet. I'm going to try your method on back 🙏💜

@@createandcrochetwithpatricia I usually make them double sided so you can flip them over for a different pattern. This is more work though so it's creating two halves & joining them together on the side. I also use craft glue to adhere the centre & any excess threads in place. Using your method you could glue a doily in the centre on the back, that would look nice too! 💜

    Hi 👋
Thank you so much for this idea/tutorial ! Last year l went to Niagara Falls for the 2nd time and on the way l stopped at lake Erie to pick up very pretty, water smoothed stones.
I've wire wrapped the smallest, stacked others onto drift wood for gifts.
I still have hand sized stones that l was going to paint but this changed my mind lol. On the way to the craft store for cotton thread lol Be well !🦋
