    Hi there! Your videos helped me figure out with kind of succulent I have. I actually have an echeveria lola. I have been trying to do leaf propagation as well and so far I have only had one that started to grow leaves! I was just wondering what the progress has been on the few you've had and what I can do to help mine grow! So far it has 4 leaves and is about the size of a fruit fly. Any advice you can give would be great! Thanks!

      Emma Lee glad to hear! Leaf propagation has been horrible for me. Honestly, I have one leaf in the propagation tray right now but it isn’t doing much. What I have personally had a lots of luck with though is taking cuttings like I did in this video. The cuttings grow roots and then the mother plant grows new babies and it is so much faster and more successful than leaf propagation. It is more traumatizing as you do have to cut your plant up 😂 but hope that helps

    It worked!!! My Lolas have started to root. i was worried but i finally got roots on my rosette.

      The leaves that you propagate that root but don't have new leaves, what do you do with those leaves? Does it eventually sprout new leaves?

    Great video. I have two Lola’s and they have not started to grow off shoots yet. They are currently under two different types of grow lights. Thanks for sharing (from Minnesota). Blessings

    Thanks Jesse for sharing this! Is cuttings the way to go for propagating all echeverias/rosette type succulents then? I'm trying leaf propagation and it's been painfully long 😅

    From what I understand turmeric powder is excellent for healing the wound of a cut on a plant preventing infection. Once your Leaf propagations form roots and a baby plant how often do you recommend watering them without having them rot? Good luck with all of those leaves forming brand new baby plants and surviving, they always die on me.

    You have done so well! May I know when is the best time to remove leaves and have clean cut? About how many days after watering?

    • @AngelsGrove
      @AngelsGrove  4 года назад +1

      Siew Lean Choong I go 3 days to a week. You just want to make sure the leaves are full and thick!

  • @GabrielGuzman18

    What do we do after cuttings? Been seeing many videos were people spend 10+ minutes showing how to cut them but then dont tell us how what to do after. Maybe it’s common sense or im missing something 😅 im just new to the hobby and want to know what to do for best results

    Once you put the calloused cutting in soil, when do you first water them?

    • @AngelsGrove
      @AngelsGrove  5 лет назад +2

      Shari Lambeth if you let them air dry for about a week you should be well able to start watering

    • @AngelsGrove
      @AngelsGrove  4 года назад

      Marie Ann Tejada you don’t need a grow light, but they will help make your succulents more colorful. Otherwise they need more sunlight. For me, I need a grow light for colorful succulents because I dont have a great spot with sun in my house

    You said about the frohibited or by laws
    Is there any particular succulent that are not so pose to sell or not so pose to propagate?how should I know what are those king of succulent, thank you.

    • @AngelsGrove
      @AngelsGrove  4 года назад

      Marie Ann Tejada it is very difficult to know which you can and cannot. If the plant comes with a tag, it should say on there of it is prohibited. I only propagate to use myself and to take care of the plant, as long as you don’t sell the propagations, it should be ok to propagate for yourself
