inspired by you my friend. Window regulator on my car door went out. I was overwhelmed. money is tight. daughter just had surgery. Life just hitting from all directions. So I thought to myself what would Puddin do? And instead of sitting on my ass I figured it out and finished the project on my own. Thank you for all you do.

I don't know about anyone else, but I appreciate seeing when plans don't go quite how you planned them. That always happened to me when I was messing with cars, and its how you overcome the problems that matters. Ultimately theres no point in putting all that effort in and ending up with something you're not happy with. Looking forward to see how this goes.

I admire pudddins determination and failure after failure. I get so frustrated I'd have walked away for months. Which is why my truck has been on jack stands in the garage over a year. I find if ya take a break and walk away to come back with a fresh mind it helps.

It's going to drive better with the Mustang II suspension because it's a bit more modern and the availability of parts makes it worth it. just like you said. I'd like to put a Crown Vic front clip on my F-150 one of these days.

What the heck Puddin! Watching the new vid, and it randomly gets removed WHILE I AM WATCHING.. Crying in the corner.
Suggestion, flip it back, make you some blocks for under the engine to give yourself a bit of clearance, and if necessary, notch the oil pan. Not as much work as putting a new front under it.

Try not to get too discouraged puddin, my dad and i are working on a 57 A100 purt near the same truck and we're gonna chassis swap it with a first gen ranger standard cab long box is the exact same track width and wheelbase, also can easily swap a v8 in, which our truck didn't come with, will be following this build with lots of Interest. Keep up the good work!

I wouldn’t say it was all a waste of time. You just learned about four different ways that won’t do what you wanted and set your sights on a better option. All part of the process brother! The dose of reality in this video has made me think about my current project and its “situation” and I’ve got new direction….basically just not sitting on my ass anymore.

Pro tip, if you're going to do a lot of these stuck brake drum jobs, knock the shoe locator pins out before you start yanking. That lets the shoes move and maybe you get the drum off without killing it so much.
The other option if it's say a Chevy where drums are common and cheap is just torch or cut around the edge of it so it will at least roll and worry about the rest later.

Hello Puddin. Several years ago, I remember a 1959 International 4x4 that was on a very well known thoroughbred racehorse farm.
That truck would had a top speed of around 40mph down a steep hill and would go damned near anywhere and absolutely would pull down a mountain so to speak.
The transfer case shifter had 2L-2H-N-4L-4H if my memory serves me correctly with a 4 speed bulldog transmission to boot., I don’t remember what transmission that IH used in their trucks. My dad tried to buy the truck for me but someone bought it that ran a service station for $75.00 back in the early 1980s.
The only 4x4 trucks that I really remember having the heavier transfer case other than the IH 4x4 like the one that I mentioned was the heavy duty 3/4 ton to 1 ton Chevrolet 4x4 trucks with the New Process 205 transfer case
Could you imagine trying to find parts for the IH 4x4 truck considering what difficulty that you went through trying to get your 59 IH project underway.
I have a 1960 B-120 4x4. I had good luck with NAPA for a water pump and belts/ hoses. Luckily I only have 86k miles and have not needed much else. What I am currently working on is getting wheels made due to the split rims that nobody will touch.

You could still use the old stuff and just clearance the oil pan. Make it a kick out style to keep capacity and shorten the pickup tube. I did this on a 67 d100 with a 12 valve swap

When we flipped the axle on my buddy's 58 f100 the axle was kissing the pan too. We just ran a set of air shocks and manual valves in the cab to give clearance when driving

@1:03:06 im really happy you didn't drive it on the road with the flipped axle brotha, i did the same thing to my 60 f100 expect i moved the motor and transmission up to miss the axle and my first drive laying low almost killed me... When you flip the axle it changes the pitch of the Pitman arm and gives you death Steering after 20 mph...
Sometimes you have to fail before you succeed. But each time, you learn. Liked this weeks video, Puddin. Gonna order another shirt.
