You Guys Wreck Everything!

- Our cattle wreck everything! It's another beautiful day with lots of work to do. I make a quick repair to the tedder I bought at auction, then it's out to give the haybine it's first run of the season; cutting tall grass in front of the pastured poultry boxes. Afterwards, Hilarie and I move a batch of broiler chicks out to pasture. Then we have to deal with the Dexter cattle, who have grazed into over mature forage and need to be moved to a new field. Finally, I check in on Red the sow and her new piglets.

It's like I'm addict to Pete's videos!
His personality is infectious and so pleasant
Agree
I agree with you Vasantha. I always wake up hoping to find a new video to enjoy over a cup of coffee. Enjoy my friend.👍
I just found the channel and have been binge watching since.
I’m here for the jokes lol. Yes I agree....I just stated watching his videos.
I could listen to this guy all day long. I find his day to day farm adventures compelling. He has an addictive way of explaining everything.
I recently found him and this channel. He has such interesting stories, like listening to him like I like watching Cog Hill Farm Family Jason and Brooke.
I think it’s because he has a relaxed happy voice that calmly explains the torturous efforts of farming.
The cows have trained Pete well with their command moo`s
I really enjoye. I miss working and living on a farm. Xx from New Zealand..
@@briandufty5081 p +.l .,
All your animals absolutely love you. Your wife reminds me how I would laugh at my husband’s jokes. The jokes were not nearly as funny as it was watching him die laughing at the jokes. We were married 53 years when he passed away in his sleep. Everyone still mentions his jokes to me wherever I go.
You are so knowledgeable and you both are such hard workers. Take care of yourself. God Bless.
Gloria Oscar, so sorry for your loss.
Sue from Australia here. Loving your videos.
Love Pete’s cherry disposition, never a swear word. Bring back many fond memories of helping on grandpa’s farm. I feel fortunate to have grown up at the end of the Norman Rockwell era.
Love every scene with Hilary. She's gorgeous.
I love how you have old tractors and equipment and fix everything yourself. That’s the Essence of the American farmer. Those jokes. Lol
Pete needs a reality TV show.
It does feel good when you can fix something without having to leave home to buy a part. It almost makes my wife incessantly calling me a hoarder worth it. 😂🤣😂
Two satellites get married, the wedding wasn't much but the reception was out a this world!
Because I just found your channel, I am happily watching the backlog of your videos...probably 10 a day...then housework gets in my way 🤨☹️. ❤️🥰👍
That 🐓 plunger…GENIUS !!! ❤️🇺🇸
Pete! There's cows behind you. Run, run, run, run, run, run!!!!
I like Pete's video. He knows alittle about everything.. he is older than some other farmers and can keep right up with them. Keep it up Pete. Ur interesting to watch
We are waching your videos often with the entire family, your videos bring back memories from our childhood. Keep up your great work
Pete, I'm surprised you didn't tell the cows to "mooove" out of your way when you were backing the tractor up. Lol
It’s so cool to see how farm machinery works!
I love your enthusiasm for teaching us about your farm, it's been relaxing and enjoyable watching your channel, thanks!
Can’t stop watching. So enjoyable
This guy…
I spent a few years of my childhood in the early 1970s living amongst the remnants of midwestern family farms and new hobby farms; cattle, dairy and corn. Part of me has always pined to return to that. Watching this guy is like daydreaming that life. And I don’t get the backache.
Thank you for many ( vicariously ) productive days, bing-watching from the couch.
Yawn, I’m gonna sleep well tonight!
When I first started watching your series of videos I often thought how unhappy Hillary looked but in later videos I saw her smiling I enjoy the way you explain and your jokes have I think seen better days
You remind me of my late father, he'd never buy a new car, always a used one, he could fix almost anything! I miss his laugh
Love your animals I laugh every time you tell a joke it may not be that funny but when you laugh and slap your leg gets every time lol keep the jokes coming and the educational video’s thank you
I'm 70
When I was little (Iowa)
When they couldn't find me
They would find me playing with the baby pigs
Mom never minded
I guess she just thought she had an extra funny looking baby....
Oldest brother tells me. He and dad had a hard time getting me out
Mom protected me.
It's midnight here in Pleasanton Texas and time for bed. Thanks for the videos, I really enjoy watching. God Bless you!
Good evening! I came across your videos a few days ago. And I just want to say thank you for taking the time to share your experiences on the farm! I grew up on a dairy farm in north western Minnesota and I grew up with the old Case tractors. But I have enjoyed watching the restoration of your MD farmall you have done a fantastic job! And you are right fixing a old tractor right is more expensive than it's worth. But you will have a beautiful tractor that you can use and teach your kids the importance of older farm machinery!
Thanks Bryce!
I love your videos and your conversation with us, not at us. Meanwhile: We went to the air and space museum. There was nothing there. Also, just want you to know I’ll not be giving up on my dreams of a farm like yours, I just keep sleeping. LOL!! Thanks for sharing Pete and Hillary!! Ya’ll are the genuine article! 💪🏼
idc what anyone says bout u i love u man u just make my day u are just amazing love ur jokes, sillyness, and just ur personality is just amazing
Ohhhh! BEAUTIFUL!!!! All the stuff I love the most. 🙂🌻❤🇺🇸❤🚜🐄🐓🐥
And ranch machines. .
You are multi talented and very hardworking!
Love the drone shots when moovin the cows.
I graze sheep on my lawns, then mow it at the end of the season to take out whatever weeds are left. I’ve heard there’s more environmental damage caused by excessive homeowners use of chemicals than caused by farmers. Love your videos. They keep me inspired
Idk why but your videos are so meditative 😊
Lol, I glad your beef talks with their month full also , Mine beef are never happy! Lol. Love the video!
You are inspiring! Thank you!
We look for your videos every night. Thanks for letting us see some of your farm work.
You've a wonderful channel and I'm a wee bit envious of your talents and lifestyle.(well maybe a whole bunch envious). Your posts are interesting, informative and calming. It's a joy to have discovered your existence.👋👍👍👍
Thank you Steven! I'm glad you found the channel!
I love your site. You are a nice guy and I think you all work very hard to keep the farm going. Hope all works out at end. It is sad to see animals killed but I do realize that it's all part of life unless your a vegetarian which I'm not. I liked your comment about the lawn moving in this country because it's true. I went to Latvia after USSR fell in the 90's and no one had moved lawns and most people had one cow and a pig running around back yards with high grass and berries and fruit trees. They also brought the cow and horse down the road to a field and staked it and let it graze if they didn't have enough own land. Only in city did you see moved grass. I thought I had gone back in time driving through the country side. Your farm reminds me of that.
I finally got to see Reds babies. Love your videos. Keep on making more daily.
Farmer ingenuity... During WWII, you could only get tires if you had a truck. My grandparents only had a car so grandpa sawed the back off of the car (yes, literally sawed it off with a hand saw) and then built a wooden bed. Then he went to town and replaced the worn out tires. Now that’s farmer ingenuity on steroids! And yes, this is a true story verified by all three of my uncles as well as my dad.
A tidbit of information for you...”Haybine” is actually a trademark name for New Holland mower conditioners. It’s like calling a rotary cutter a “Bush Hog” or a tissue a Kleenex.Love your videos Pete, keep them coming!
I know what you mean about lawns I watch my neighbor mow 2 acres when I could easily graze my sheep on it for them. Then they'd have more time to do something more meaningful in life besides mow lawn.
My Amish neighbors have turned the lawns into gardens and they are beautiful.
Love your videos Pete !
GOOOOOOOD MORNING!!! Everyone have a great day!!!!
Thank you for providing this wonderful nutrition for your animals and in turn, for us meat- based individuals.
Really enjoy your channel. Back in the day I worked for IHC. Special product rep for 990 mower/conditioners. A trip down memory lane. Thanks to you and Hillary.
Wow Robert that's cool! We have two 990's, a 7' and a 9'. They are great machines!
I like how he works very organized.
My dad had the same International 656 tractor on our farm when I was growing up and we also had a Farmall Super A also. Your videos are reminding me of those good times.
"...couldn't control his pupils!" HAA! Great Dad joke!
Pete, I know some people will disagree with me but I absolutely love your jokes. And its true, they are so bad they're good!! Thanks, and keep them coming!!
my familys on 1/3rd of an acre and we have 4 ducks,11 chickens and a semi big garden in our backyard and in our garage we not only hatch stuff but we have ducklings,30+quail and chuckers.
I always enjoy your videos Pete. Thanks for all the info.
Good job. You got it working again. 👍
ALOHA FROM HONOLULU HAWAII .I LOVE WATCHING U YOU TUBE CHANNEL...IM ALWAYS LEARNING SOMETHING NEW...UR JOKES ARE TOO FUNNY...
I just found your channel. 2 minutes into it I subscribed. I love it. I love all your older equitment. Brings back memories. Your jokes are an added joy. Can't wait for more.
👍🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🗽🙏🏻 Enjoyed! Grew up on a farm in central Iowa in the fifties!
Another great production 😁👍
Another great video Pete. Thank you!
Even my pigs like to each grass clippings. It would be nice to get the neighborhood's clippings! Love the homemade pin, type of stuff I make.
I just told my wife (who is a teacher) your joke. She giggled. Thanks Pete!
Pete reminds me of "Old McDonald had Farm"
Not only are you a great farmer, you're a great video editor also.
Chinese eat bats and rats low expenses
Thanks Elizabeth!
L agree@@JustaFewAcresFarm
I just found this channel. I really like it.
Scientific grass growing, you must be tiried, all that thought and planning and worry,…. Lov3 the content especially the bonding with the cows , when u were chilling, ….you deserve it,. Peace
Grass looks nice, hopefully you won't have to buy anymore hay this winter/spring. Dad used to pasture our cows in the front yard too. Later on the front yard was where cows would have their calves.
The teacher joke was the greatest
REALY GREAT SIGHT interesting to see what it takes to farm Famers are great people thanks for all you do to feed us bless you all.
At the end of each video I've watched I find myself wishing it wasn't yet over. Lol...
Hey Pete, Your videos is some of the best that I have seen. Keep it up.
Such a peaceful simple MEANINGFUL life. I would give anything to be a farmer. Seems like I would have to sell my soul to do it now a days and I wouldn't even be able to make money doing it organically. I was born in the wrong time.
Things looking good and green
Trouble with most haying equipment is you don't know if everything is alright until you have hay down, and of course theirs always rain coming.
When ppl started building these mcmansions an old guy I know remarked about one near us...."Took up a good farm to make a front yard out of it!"
Cool person, cool attitude, cool life, cool farm. This channel is certainly cool to watch. Here goes my maiden subscription of RUclips channel. Hatsoff..!! from the state of Manipur, India!!
Thank you Stephen!
Ur life is sooo fun.......loving it
Excellent mechanic
I never seen cows like somebody so much like yours
I just love seeing your videos and as a fellow dad, I find the jokes spot on! Now, when you say your are being stalked by the cows and it's happening right now, wouldn't i be called live-stocked...?
Greetings from a Dexter holder in Denmark :-)
I love your jokes so please keep them coming. Wish that I lived closer to you, I would come help you with the farm work no charge!
Pete, I'm so happy that you finally decided to use pine shavings....That's what I use for my sows and piglets and it really works great!!!
Hey Pete, I really enjoy your videos, you are very natural and informative. I love your tractor rebuild, I’ve been watching you since I had a week in hospital with Covid in February, Keep up the good work, your animals love you, all,the best Simon from Wales, UK
Thanks Simon!
I hope the next generation appreciates how valuable having your own productive piece of land is. Never sell it to the mega corps when they start knocking
I can't believe it was a year ago I watched you and Hilary put the broiler chicks out to pasture. It's true that the older one gets the faster time goes!
Your simple life is deceivingly complicated but you sure are good at it!
Pete, you are the best! I love you! I always thought I should have been a farmer. You have convinced me, but it’s too late! I’ll be 77 next month.
Hello from Manitoba I'm new here love watching your videos.Your to funny..
I am a second generation farmer but first generation on the land i had started about 2 years ago I had purchased holstein steers calves because they were cheap a few months ago I started to watch you videos the video that really spoke to we was were you talked about why you raised dexter cattle an pritty much had to find the nitch to set you apart from the big farmers an being a direct to customer made me thank how I want to do my farm an I had came up with a plan to raise longhorns there isn't that many in my area that do an the health benefit of the meat compared to your traditional beef an it falls right in line with the the ground I have an the way I take care of my animals I have to say thank you alot for your videos an please keep making great informative content
I love watching your videos...makes me wish I grew up on a farm...never thought you could do it for a living like you do...you got the best of both worlds...I,m sure it don,t make good money but hey it,s a good life...
Good idea 👍 always thinking ahead !

when on green grass it goes thru them just a littlle dry feed will help so they feel full i enjoy watching your videos you and family do a good job working together make a good team when i was younger i worked with mules and draft horses but their life spand is not as long as ours i have old equipment some i bought new but the weather takes its toll so i painted them like the old barns used to climb ladders and paint but i see that i wasnt getting any younger so put pole barn steal on put some windows and vents in i put up buildings to store everything inside glad that i did this years ago when priceses were less than today back then if you made 100 a week thought you were on top now make grand a week dont seem like much god bless pete and have a wonderful day
i agree with you, when the grass matures....make hay and they will eat it in the winter for sure.
I miss those days fooling with the cows, I always enjoyed it
Hello to both of you. It's a great day even here in Smithfield, RI. The jokes are fun... always looking forward to them. Be Well.
Red and her piglets look great you're right we could use animals eat the grass around the houses but I noticed your lawn looks mowed two PTI enjoy your show that's one of my highlights of the day
They can't help it, they are massive creatures!
Like a bull in a china shop...
@@JustaFewAcresFarm me and the wife love watching your videos at night to unwind Pete, learning so much about pigs, cows, e-fencing, butchering from you and Hill, and you guys are so entertaining to watch!
I love Pete I’m really thinking about farming
