I love how the music matches perfectly where at 1:10 the water rises just like the lava did in episode 3. In fact all of this water is symbolic to the lava in episode 3
The lava surrounds Anakin and Obi-Wan as Anakin falls and succumbed to the dark side. The water rages as Rey attempts to assault and outright overpower Kylo Ren, and then the tides rest once the fight is over, and Ben embraces the light.

Yeah I love the music, but these songs have emotion in them. Like I could hear Anakin and Obi-Wan’s hearts breaking as they fought because I could remember their history. The music fits the fight speed and setting, but not the characters. There wasn’t enough about Rey or Kylo shown to us to portray emotion strong enough for this soundtrack, even though it was fantastic to see the fight scene with some of the best score ever, lol.
Star Wars has always been labelled as a Space Opera. So they should have added something here and like others have said the Prequel fights remain so iconic because of their incredible scores. I don’t find many of the scores in TLJ or TROS incredibly memorable.
Isn’t it a little weird that the villain of this trilogy is the only character I care about in these movies...I have literally been rooting for him every movie...just shows how terrible of a job they did with Rey in contrast to Kylo... Oh how amazing this trilogy would’ve been if Kylo was more of the main character and Rey was more of a side character...could have started TFA with him at Luke’s temple being trained and show us almost like a montage of him growing up, getting older with each clip of him training, show him being spoken too by Snoke throughout the movie, have him go on missions with Luke to find old Jedi Relics and eventually by the end of the first movie you get to his and Luke’s altercation in the hut...just imagine the possibilities, Anakin’s Dark Deeds plays as Ben gets out of the hut in shock of what just happened and then they can have him fight the students who attack him and right as he boards his ship and looks back at the ruins of the temple the movie ends. Would have been a phenomenal first movie and set up a great rest of the trilogy.
Completely agree. Same goes for Finns character too, they did him dirty. Defiantly can’t stand anything sequel based cause of the awful job they’ve done with them
I hate everything about this trilogy except for Kylo, I agree he was under-used/should of been the main focus instead of Rey who in extremely boring in contrast.
this scene and the one in Episode III are different in every way because it’s water instead of lava, it’s a sith turned to the light instead of jedi turned to the dark, it’s not emotionally scarring and there isn’t any high ground
Damn right The Sequels are not above the Prequels or OT in any way but they are rather evolution of the star wars saga and about the duel difference I agree it isn't a Jedi raging like a sith in fire against a Jedi but it is about a Sith fighting Defensively with the waves of the water flowing in Defense against a Jedi who is fighting Offensively
TAITY, Kylo is a sith, he was basically Darth Sidious’s apprentice for a decade and Palpatine wouldn’t reveal himself to the galaxy until Kylo had killed Snoke (his finale test) and he had Kylo at his side... In the game Battlefront 2, Kylo literally recites part of the Sith Code in the dialogue he has in the game (the game is canon), he is a Sith Lord, but he’s like Revan in that he also has his own ideas of how things should be...how the Jedi and Sith are ultimately flawed in their views.

Seriously, in almost all of her lightsaber battles she is showing almost pure rage. The only time Luke ever fought like that was when Vader threatened Leia and he realized he was slipping to the Dark Side. Aside from that most Jedi have a calm sense about them while dueling, at least on the exterior.
Tbh she nearly did. I don't know why nobody picks up on her feeling Leia's passing AFTER Kylo/Ben. She instead stabbed a dude before feeling it lol, and that scared the beans out of her

I think the best part about this fight is how obvious it was that he was never trying to kill her. Most if not all of his movements were on defense. He showed how he knew how to fight better than her even while on defense and just wore her stamina out. He had a lot more capacity than she does and it really showed.

Yup, Luke gave his nephew a final lesson in TLJ about dodging lightsaber attacks when he was force projecting himself, thats no wonder why Kylo Ren is now able to dodge Rey's attacks before he ignites his lightsaber.
They should've added this music back at least one more time, if not a different version of it, Battle of Heroes is one of the most beloved soundtracks in Star Wars.
This music would've hit me more emotionally if it were actually in the movie. Really well done, brilliant call back to Episode 3. I appreciated the fact that the music cuts out right when Ren feels Leia reaching out to him.
The key to any good movie is not just not just the actors for the script the music set the tone for the movie Everything Must fit perfectly together you did a beautiful job other than this together the Doula Faith compose with the original Darth Vader theme beautifully made thank you for making this this might have salvaged the Star Wars rise of Skywalker the music might help out
If music not meant for this scene could sound so good, what an epic theme they could have made specifically for this duel. Moments like 2:07 feel much better with music.
This worked so well I was really surprised this wasn't used in the movie but John Williams still did a great job scoring this scene making it feel really intense.
They not only missed out on using music like this but also to have something like kylo force-hold a wave back to stop it from hitting them while their lightsabers clash as the music swells
Love how he actually won the fight, technically... Proving that he is the stronger of the two... Rightfully so. Love how he is the one to get up on his own too after being drained of life force later.
I agree, but I think this fight should have had his own theme. Duel of Fates was epic. Jedi's Fury was tragic. Battle of Heroes was both. I think should have get an intense theme
when the soundtrack was being talked about Williams insisted that he used duel of fates and battle in the film. He said he used every motif from the previous films.... in the end it was only in the trailer. I wish we would have got his vision for this battle using the motifs together.
Gary Chelios Rey used it because she’s used to her staff which has two sides so a double sided Lightsaber fits her but since she doesn’t have one she changes the one sided blade. Kylo was doing to to flex on her
We had the same idea on our channel! Looks like y'all beat us to the punch! Great work! Ours it edited a bit differently, but same general principle. This fight definitely needed a score, and the use of "Battle of the Heroes" works because the fights are total opposite: lava vs water, hot vs cold. Just like Lucas said, "it rhymes", and the song is a great way to tie the two sequences together :)
waouw, avec cette musique le duel est encore plus épique, et la touche de "I'm so sorry" à la fin rend la scène encore plus touchante. Beau boulot pour le montage, ça match parfaitement bien
I'm actually not bored watching this duel now, instead of it being bland and dry, it felt like there was actually going to be consequences from this duel. What a true difference music can make.
this movie lived up to what i was expecting of it, if they hadn't swapped directors after TFA the sequels as a whole would have been better though. OT is still my favourite though.
It was that they made no plans with the story. Had they planned the story from beginning to end. At least an outline of important beats the story should hit in each film would've improved the trilogy.
I love the trilogy but its biggest flaw was definitely the fact that Ryan and JJ both had very different visions, JJ wanted it to feel at home while Ryan wanted to subvert expectations (which I think he did very well)
It's really interesting to see this kind of scenes, mostly because it shows some of the intetnions of the director. For a moment it even looks like the roles are reversed between good and evil Rey is completely driven by her rage, fighting like a Sith Kylo Ren is calmed and fights like a Jedi
It’s so good to see her get beaten down by Kylo like that, just to prove that she isn’t as OP as everyone says she is. She needs to lose every now and again, and this part did a good job at portraying that I felt.
Man, I wish they used this, just by using Battle of the Heroes it draws parallels and you get this underlying sense of history repeating itself. Something deeper implied than just fan pandering. The sunken wreckage makes an excellent opposite side of the coin to the Mustafar duel too visually, and with Rey as the Jedi here who's unstable there's an opposite there too.
this music on this fight was so epic. I like this fight more than Anakin vs Obi Wan. it looked like an actual fight, fueled by raw emotion and the Force
Quand tu regardes la vraie version, celle du film... On a juste l'impression que les gars ont oublié la musique ! 😂 T'es un génie d'avoir fait ça ! En plus, t'as synchroniser les mes moments clés avec la musique... Bref, un grand bravo !
True. But it feels and looks more real than the old styles that looked too flashy. Imagine the Obi Wan and Anakin fight but in Game of Thrones. I know it is completely irrelevant, but just trying to explain what I mean.
@@brianlugo5995 It is completely irrelevant actually; their speed. She's always gonna be wrapped up in emotion (not as progressive a character as they thought xD) and he's barely ever trying. After 7, I don't think Kylo has once actually tried to kill her.
@@brianlugo5995 I get what you mean, but this is starwars, jedi use the force as they fight and are literally super human, that's why George Lucas made their fights quick and flashy , because they have super abilities
@@ButrzV2 if he put as much effort into actually trying to kill her as he did trying to convert her, her body would've been left somewhere in that forest on Takodana.
The thing is, it doesn't have look realistic, lightsabers weight practically nothing while being able to cut through any enemy like butter, you can swing those things around way faster than any medieval weapons and with more effectiveness, and they're wielded by jedi who are essentially super humans/humanoids. Now yes, I get it that the quick and flashy style doesn't please everyone, but it still seems miles better to me than wildly swinging a stick around.

They should've added this music back at least one more time, if not a different version of it, Battle of Heroes is one of the most beloved soundtracks in Star Wars.
That lightsaber guided back flip was clean af though 🔥
How i didn't see this before, your work is amazing!!!!!
The scene at 2:08 gave me goosebumps with the added music.
This music would've hit me more emotionally if it were actually in the movie. Really well done, brilliant call back to Episode 3. I appreciated the fact that the music cuts out right when Ren feels Leia reaching out to him.
Thanks 🙏❤️
No one:
Absolutely no one:
Finn: REEEEEEYYYYYY!!!
Curse Disney for not putting any battle music in this duel. This just made this duel so badass.
The key to any good movie is not just not just the actors for the script the music set the tone for the movie Everything Must fit perfectly together you did a beautiful job other than this together the Doula Faith compose with the original Darth Vader theme beautifully made thank you for making this this might have salvaged the Star Wars rise of Skywalker the music might help out
This made the scene 10 times better, really wish they had music in the theatrical version. Wouldve given it that "grand/epic" feel
This duel doesnt deserve this epic music to be honest.
Mhm.
Fantastic work! I just remember everyone losing their minds when he walked through that wave.
Kylo ren walking through the water was the same part as when obi wan said “I have failed you Anakin.. I have failed you” fuckin beautiful 😢
Anakin was baptized with fire, his grandson Ben Solo was baptized with water.
You shall have more than 25K views at the end of this weeknd. I have spoken
I don't think so.. But I would love it 😅 Thanks 🙏
If music not meant for this scene could sound so good, what an epic theme they could have made specifically for this duel. Moments like 2:07 feel much better with music.
Whenever I hear the song, around 2:42 I always remember Palpatine laughing maniacally at Yoda!
This worked so well I was really surprised this wasn't used in the movie but John Williams still did a great job scoring this scene making it feel really intense.
They not only missed out on using music like this but also to have something like kylo force-hold a wave back to stop it from hitting them while their lightsabers clash as the music swells
2:06 *was perfect.*
This actually makes the fight better
Me after seeing Rise of Skywalker : Your lack of epic music disturbs me
This is so beautiful. Thank you so much for this work of art
Love how he actually won the fight, technically... Proving that he is the stronger of the two... Rightfully so. Love how he is the one to get up on his own too after being drained of life force later.
Its cool and shit but tbh i think this track should have and will always stay as a final score to the tragic battle between Obi and Anakin.
The music fits so well with this fight
I would have got instant chills if this played, entire trilogy building this up, but instead that fight I felt nothing at all
I think 3:21 is the most unflattering angle of Adam Driver I've ever seen. They did him so dirty with that shot.
God this actually gave me feels!! This is how you use the old movies to make the new ones feel connected!
see, you know a lightsaber duel is bad when even battle of the heroes doesn’t make it epic
I do not understand why sometimes they use a reverse grip. It's so impractical. In a true duel, they're dead at the moment they use it.
Gary Chelios Rey used it because she’s used to her staff which has two sides so a double sided Lightsaber fits her but since she doesn’t have one she changes the one sided blade. Kylo was doing to to flex on her
😅😅
Wrong! The movies are worse when there's soundtrack I rather have duel without soundtrack like this one making it realistic
ShadowUnknown 728theUnGiveUpSoul Nice try JJ Abrams.
This is soo freaking good
Thanks ❤️
*Trilogies Summed Up In One Line*
Prequels: Calm down, Anakin!
Originals: Use the Force, Luke.
Sequels: REEEEY!!!!!!
3:14 In this part, you could have added "Padme's ruminations" which is quite a great dramatic theme for a moment like this.
This would’ve felt more like a Star Wars movie with maybe a remastered version it would’ve been probably the best scene in this whole movie🙌
3:00
"It's over Anakin, I have the high ground!"
2:13 “I have failed you anakin..I have failed you..”
This is getting me hype for the sequels I didn't know I have
waouw, avec cette musique le duel est encore plus épique, et la touche de "I'm so sorry" à la fin rend la scène encore plus touchante. Beau boulot pour le montage, ça match parfaitement bien
Merci Alexander 😁🔥
I'm actually not bored watching this duel now, instead of it being bland and dry, it felt like there was actually going to be consequences from this duel. What a true difference music can make.
I like how Rey started copying more of Ben's saber style throughout each of their battles
this movie lived up to what i was expecting of it, if they hadn't swapped directors after TFA the sequels as a whole would have been better though. OT is still my favourite though.
It was still a poorly made trilogy sadly
It was that they made no plans with the story. Had they planned the story from beginning to end. At least an outline of important beats the story should hit in each film would've improved the trilogy.
@@linkaran512 it started off good, RJ came in and killed alot of what J.J set up then they bring back J.J to try and salvage the threads he had left.
I love the trilogy but its biggest flaw was definitely the fact that Ryan and JJ both had very different visions, JJ wanted it to feel at home while Ryan wanted to subvert expectations (which I think he did very well)
@@andrewcahill05 a lot more flaws though
It's really interesting to see this kind of scenes, mostly because it shows some of the intetnions of the director.
For a moment it even looks like the roles are reversed between good and evil
Rey is completely driven by her rage, fighting like a Sith
Kylo Ren is calmed and fights like a Jedi
It’s so good to see her get beaten down by Kylo like that, just to prove that she isn’t as OP as everyone says she is. She needs to lose every now and again, and this part did a good job at portraying that I felt.
Amazing video 😃🤯still disappointed about the movie
Me too... 😔
Beautifully executed!! 💛 I love the theatrical version, whose absence of soundtrack conveys the intimacy of their duel, however this is awesome!
The speed these two are fighting at is embarrassing, neither of them could hold their own against the old jedi masters
Me: *tries to ask out girl *
The girl: 1:00
Even Finn’s “REYYYYY!” Sounds better and it was already probably the only good part of this movie.
I look forward to these. Keep them coming please and Thanks again this was great!
the music literally makes any scene amazing
Rey and Kilo Ren: fights for 4 minutes
Anakin and Obi Wan: am I joke to you
