For Return of the Jedi, I’d say the scene where Luke almost turns to the dark side after Vader threatens Leia as the music swells, to be followed with “I am a Jedi, like my father before me!” is the most powerful. Luke’s face half lit while he gazes at his and Vader’s robotic hand before turning to see his whole face lit up was powerful cinematography.

@@Just_Jac0b Especially since the backwards talking was Yoda trying to trick Luke into underestimating him. He doesn't really do that otherwise. See the "Luminous beings" speech, which, I think is one of the best monologues in Star Wars.
@@guyfriendly8984 Oh, he was just doing that to test Luke's patience? Odd. I remember reading/hearing somewhere that Yoda speaks all backwards because he got hit on the head with a rock.
I honestly think it is the single greatest scene in all of Star Wars. Empire probably has to take it for the first-time view, but the end of Rogue One hits just as hard the 30th time you see it.
My pick for ROTJ would have been when Luke takes off Vader’s helmet and says I can save you and Vader replies, “You already have “. Literally makes me cry every time
I'd vote the best in RotJ would be the build up to the lightsaber fight when Luke and Vader's lightsabers clash. I would pick this because its a subtle action that you have to really observe to understand. Luke's lightsaber is on the inside coming away from the emperor. Luke blocked Vader from slaying the emperor because he knew if Vader killed the emperor there would be no saving him from the darkside.
Maul: literally staring down at Obi Wan hanging by his fingers, scraping the ledge with his lightsaber... 2 movies later.. Kenobi: It's over! I have the high ground
I love that scene because it shows that everything Anakin learned was literally from Obi Wan, and when Obi Wan says “Don’t try it,” he knows exactly what Anakin wants to do. Such a good tie in to the first film as well
I think my favorite on this list is Anakin telling Ahsoka “You never would have made it as Obi-Wan’s padawan, but you might make it as mine.” Its so happy and promising, yet 12 years later it hurts more than it makes me happy

Edit: wow this blew up, try and remember this is my opinion, and when i say this is what i think is the best in star wars history im not calling all the other great scenes shit:)
For AOTC the end scene was the best for me All the clones marching in their Star destroyers with Darth Vader's theme in the background and Palpatine looking at his army gave me chills
That scene is so good, Palpy smiling at his plan working, Imperial March almost more celebratory than foreboding, Organa showing how pissed and sad he is, and best of all...not a word the entire scene
And then followed by Anakin and Padme’s wedding, with just such a beautiful transition of themes from Imperial March to Across the Stars... god, it’s so good
I would say that the scene when Luke tells Leia she is his sister is the best scene in episode 6 "The Force is strong in my family. My father has it. I have it. My sister has it."
My favorite music by John Williams is “Luke and Leia.” It picks up as soon as Leia realizes that she’s Luke’s sister and when I saw it as a movie in concert, I just started crying at that point.
Nice job! for The Last Jedi I would have picked Luke owning Kylo Ren. There are a lot of complaints about his role in the movie, how he was "not Luke", but he force projected across the galaxy to stall for time and severly pwning Kylo Ren and humiliating him, that was badass, and probably the "every word of what you said was wrong" speech is the best of the entire movie.
In isolation, I think you have a point. That scene was visually stunning and deliciously entertaining to watch. However, I think the betrayal of Snoke with Rey and Kylo teaming up was the greatest moment in that movie, because that's the point at which it COULD have been a great movie and set up a killer finish to a good trilogy. You're in the theater thinking, "Holy crap, Rey has been resisting the dark side, Kylo has resisted the light, and now they're about to topple the First Order and create a whole new thing in the middle. No more Sith rage and hatred, no more Jedi rejecting love because they're afraid of emotion. Luke already told us that the Jedi were flawed, light and dark, focus and passion, yin and yang - he was right! This is going to be BIG." Then about 5 minutes later, they throw it all away and everyone resets back to being cartoon versions of Good and Evil, and unfortunately the scene with Luke's projection is past the point of no return for the new trilogy.
I woulda chose the moment just before this where Luke returns and talks with Leia before walking out and facing the first order by himself. The legendary master finally returned and managed to stop an entire army and save the resistance all by himself, and the forehead kiss is the emotional climax of the saga imo. Who cares if he’s a projection, it’s still Luke.
Maybe it’s because i didn’t grow up watching the OT first but I honestly think the 3rd movie is the best Star Wars movie of all time. It is so amazing.

How is that the best scene? The scene where Vader said to Luke "No, I am your father." is one of the biggest moments in movie history. No one knew that was going to happen when ir first came out
I still really love the “my accomplishment not yours” scene in rogue one (my favorite Star Wars movie(fight me)), it shows the great acting prowess of Ben Mendelssohn.
Vader revealing himself as Luke's father was the most shocking scene in Empire but the best scene, in my opinion was Yoda using the force to lift Luke’s X-Wing from the swamp on Dagobah.
How is Anakin slaying Sand People the best scene of Attack of The Clones?! Surely it would be finally seeing Yoda flipping around the room whilst fighting Count Dooku!!
Yoda vs Dooku it is a good action scene, showing for the first time Yoda's skills; but Anakin's one represents how his transformation to Dart Vader began. For a Jedi, to sucumb to his negatives feelings is the key factor to become a Sith.
I personally love the scene when anakin talks to padmé and hes saying he slaughtered them all "I killed them all, even the children" I gave myself chilld lol
When you see both scenes back to back it is interesting to see the parallels between the end Obi Wan's fight with Maul and the end of his fight with Anakin. This is the first time I’ve realised that Anakin is trying to pull off the exact same move that Obi Wan pulled to defeat Maul, only Obi Wan is wiser than Maul was and is fully expecting it, even warning Anakin not to try it, so pivots easily to cut Anakin down instead, doing what Maul probably should have done to him. It’s surprisingly clever when you think about it. Anakin thinks of himself as the young Obi Wan, and thinks of Obi Wan as Maul, he arrogantly assumes he will succeed, like Obi Wan did, because Obi Wan will underestimate his new found strength from embracing the dark side, much like how Maul underestimate Obi Wan's strength (thinking of Obi Wan as a weak Padawan incapable of jumping back up to the ledge, let alone over the top of his head, and force pulling a second lightsaber into his hand at the same time.) hence the line "you underestimate my power". He forgets in the moment that Obi Wan succeeded through surprise, whereas this time Obi Wan is expecting it, you could even say he is deliberately goading Anakin into trying it. "It’s over Anakin, I have the high ground" is the equivalent to "na, na, na, na, na, you can’t get me!" To which Anakin's immediate response is, "oh yes I can, and I'll use your own move against you!" Obi Wan is playing into Anakin's recklessness and willingness to try unexpected and risky manoeuvres to take his foes by surprise, and this is one of the only times where it does not work out for him. Obi Wan uses one of Anakin's great strengths against him to lure him into that final trap.

I'd vote the best in RotJ would be the build up to the lightsaber fight when Luke and Vader's lightsabers clash. Nice job! for The Last Jedi I would have picked Luke owning Kylo Ren.

@@owlcircus6811 Actually, come to think of it, this was the best bit...

@@shelbyvillerules9962 the real scene would’ve been 100x times better with that music
when he updates the video 1:40
Ben: "Dad..."
Han: "I know."
Episode one for me is the activation of the battle droids and the subsequent battle that takes place (despite jar jar) and episode two definitely either the battle of geonosis or that one scene when the clones are in formation marching into the assault ships
The scene from a new hope is my favorite scene in cinema
It is one of the most iconic scenes in movie history ever, quite possibly even THE most well known and iconic. Such mystery, passion, longing for more than that desert planet. It conveys so much emotion yet doesn’t use a single word. Beautiful.
@@unknown_individual7050 i think the most well known and iconic for the world is "no I am your father" but for star wars fans it is probably the New Hope scene because it's just simply amazing.
Knowing it's an old movie nearly kills me inside John Williams can't be regular intelligence or just a bit higher then average, i'm fairly certain he's one of those super geniuses like einstein or newton just with music
The only one I disagree with was Attack of the Clones, I think that the Battle of Geonosis was best with the jedi and droids fighting
hmmmm you like men
@@Architectural.Wonders ya sound like a hypocrite
How did you like that scene if is when Jango Fett kill you dino jedi 😭
@@ianqueteimporta2297 Well... I did not think of that.
@@ianqueteimporta2297 ngl I was never a fan of jango
I was hoping Attack of the Clones would be the Seismic Charge
I hoped it would be yoda vs dooku
I too kinda exepcted another scene from Attack Of The Clones, there are actually lots of cool scenes to put
no homo
I was really campaigning for "Wanna buy some deathsticks?"
I was hoping he would include ending of AOTC with clone army on coruscant, while imperial march plays.
