    Hello.
    I know very little about bluetooth but from what I hear they are similar to the "VR Dongles" used for lighthouse tracked devices.
    The VR Dongles work best on USB-2, supposedly USB-3 can introduce some RFI (Radio Frequency Interference). I wonder if it would also apply to BT dongles?

    OLED is better for dark scenes and colors. Also, the diamond pentile pixel grid is better for 3D applications as it reduces aliasing. Something that naturally occurs with normal pixel grids (like on any other monitor or LCD headsets) and can not be truly fixed since the normal horizontally and vertically arranged pixels are perfect for 2D, but as soon as you get a diagonal line like in any 3D environment you will get the trapezoidal effect as the line shifts between pixel rows and colums.

    • @julianmazzola
      @julianmazzola 2 месяца назад +5

      The colors are considerably better in PSVR2 due to the OLED panels and lack of video stream compression you get with a Link cable. However, the mura and the fresnel lenses are more of a con for some users, so it comes down to the individual to decide which is better. I prefer the larger FoV and OLED contrast of the PSVR2. The sweet spot is harder to find, but once I'm in it, it feels great.

      @@voodoodevr-en yep, works just fine thanks!
      I do have an extra question if you don’t mind. My computer keeps losing track of the right hand controller. The left hand controller works just fine, but the right one sometimes loses tracking but not completely. What I mean is, if I am playing MFS for example, the right hand would still turn on its own axis, so if I point up or down it would still responde, but the whole arm just keeps still. This also happens with NMS where I can turn and point the gun in different directions, but the arm won’t move up or down or to the sides. It takes an only a few seconds (10s+-) to regain full control but it is really annoying. Any tips to fix this?

    It works almost as it should. I think the most important question is whether the adaptive trigger and eye tracking work, if not why, is it even possible that it will work and on whose side is it the activation of these options, sony or the game developers. Personally, I can get a new pimax crystal light with local dimming for $500 and I will probably choose it, but if I were to think about the ps2 vr, the eye tracking and adaptive trigger are the reasons to choose it.

      @@DissTrackTed So for me this is one big no. I would prefer quest 3 which in this case has more options because it has AR also works independently so during a power outage you can easily watch a movie which is important to me because for some time storms have become normal and they have already burned my equipment twice so I unplug everything from the socket. There is also pico but unfortunately there is no AR.

    • @julianmazzola
      @julianmazzola 2 месяца назад +1

      Adaptive triggers wouldn't work even if Sony added support. Game developers would also need to add support. There seems to be a lot of misconception around this. The triggers themselves will work just fine, they just won't have variable resistance which is totally unique to the PS5 platform in the first place. Regular controller haptics will work the same as they would on any other controller. Eye-tracking would have been nice, hopefully we get it in an update, but I am doubtful Sony wants to invest any more engineering money into this.

    • @tyrannicpuppy
      @tyrannicpuppy 2 месяца назад

      @@julianmazzola I give it six months max before folks figure out all the extra bits and bobs. Unless Sony found a way to have the adaptor block the access paths to those bits of hardware, they're all still physically present in the headset and controllers. It's mostly, as you said, a lack of support. They were PS5 exclusive features, so PCVR games won't have those functions coded into them. It would be kind of asinine for Sony to lock them out entirely on PC as it's just antagonising a potential customer pool, but they do seem to have some weird intentions when it comes to VR too, so I can see them doing it as well, even if it is a bad idea to do so.
      But yeah, the community is going to crack these things open in no time at all. They've never let proprietary hardware stop them before.

Is the small sweet spot, glare and godrays from the fresnel lenses somehow not apparent in PCVR? Was it the limitations of the PS5 and reprojection the whole time? The issues with high persistence, mura, the pentile subpixel arrangement instead of RGB stripe etc, also all just exaggerated because of the PS5's limitations?

      no bro its the obs/video capturing software that stutters_but in-game in headset its smooth as fck_otherwise he would say so wouldnt ya think_but its fair for novices to not realize that video capturing software isnt showing you 1:1 what's happening inside the actual headset_the youtube video is stuttering but the game isnt TLDR

      reprojection and poor performance are what the PSVR2 and that adapter are capable of !

    I'm a bit disappointed, the PS app doesn't work properly, it freezes halfway through the setup, I saw online that I'm not the only one. I tried IVry and then I have a picture. So don't light the box off cables.

      You have to completely remove iVRy drivers. That's why you're having issues.
