This show....OMG! possibly one of the best DMB shows for musicality ever. They are killing song selection and emotion, audience into it...I’ll watch this one a thousand times. Live at Lorelei is my all time fave show and this one is up there! The Stone, Crush, horns showed out! Buddy’s chords on the Stone killed me! Love this show!

Good God....why is it that this just never gets old. 50 yrs old, DMB played at my frat house in 1991 and yet today I still can’t wait til Aug in Va Beach.
I have love for every person who has been in DMB. But these free shows during Plague 2020 have lead me to believe three things. One, this is maybe the best the band has ever been. The little changes they've made to arrangements all work perfectly, they're playing tight - but still improvising and Dave has found a new place where his voice fits right and works again. Two, Buddy is the mf man. Three, and most important, Stefan is DMB secret weapon. You could just have Dave, Carter and Stefan playing and it would still sound like DMB.
not sure i agree with this at all - Bela Fleck shows with best bassist in the world any show with a special guest are better and i just prefer Butch Taylors sound cuz as good a musician as Buddy is he only plays one way so far and he needs to spread his wings away from just soft organ what i call "church" sound and i go to church lol so that is not all insult
@@justingroff3682 The horn section will never be the same without LeRoi as well. No one can match the soul that he brought to the band. He was special.
I completely agree with this entire statement, however I would add that I also agree that Buddy could expand more into his role. More Piano would be nice. Jeff Coffin and Carter are synched together as though instrument begets the sound of the other. Loved Leroi, but Jeff might be the best there ever was.
I was at this concert last year. It's literally the best DMB show I've attended! I'm thrilled that I can stream it whenever I want to now!

My final wish in life... To be able to witness DMB & friends in the studio. I wouldn't talk, other than the occasional "Holy shit!!" or "OMG"... so as not to interrupt the musical geniuses... but to simply BE in that music... That's all I need... Then I can die.

Perfect song to show that it is DM Band....surely a band and they love each other. As it should be.
Bad ass venue!! West palm beach Florida. Saw 2 shows there 2 nights in a row and was brought in for free by security the second night of a sold out show in 2005!! The sound of this amphitheatre is very special and has to be experianced in the Now!!!! Love Love Love!!! :)

I remember being there, this was the last two shows before seeing that free show on Miami Beach which was absolutely amazing! 2020 no DMB is tough, but we will all appreciate them so much more when they return! Stay blessed everyone 🙏✌️
AC/DC Back in Black riffs with BeeGees Staying Alive to the STeve Miller Band Fly Like an Eagle! One will not see this transition anywhere. Lucky those who saw this live! MosDef one of the best sets of 2019.
They did the back in black, stayin alive and fly like an eagle in bristow va the year before as well!
The first time i saw DMB i drove from Chicago to Michigan to see them at DTE amphitheater in 2013 with my gf at the time. dmb was our fav band so when we got there we were loading up drinking, smokin and we were having a good time. 19 at the time. about 40 minutes into the show during Crush we were smoking a blunt at " sitting, smoking, feeling high..." and she had a seizure. i saw her eyes roll and i was fuckin freaking out. she was totally passed out. we got her over to the stairway and was still out. got a medic and got her in a wheelchair. while she was in the medical tent DMB was playing a cover of "dont fear the reaper." It was an out of body experience as i thought she was dying too., but She was okay. she drank on an empty stomach while taking antibiotics i guess, like a fool. loll. she drank a bunch of gatorade and she was fine. i had to drive back to the hotel with a pretty strong buzz. hind sight super dumb on top of it all. medics knew we were drunk and underage but looked the other way which did us a huge solid from getting arrested and our parents having to drive 6 hours to bail us out lmao. while im typing this im listening to crush, the song she passed out to.. dmb till makes me wthink of my friendship with her. first gf. only gf ive had. i remember in the hotel after that she said "always and forever." 6 months later we broke up. had lost a best friend growing up. gave her a DMB bead "i could never love again, so much as i love yoou" grace is gone.
its been 6 years and i still think about her and miss her. and remember the good times with her listening to DMB as young lovers. @ lisa marie miss you friend.

I was there just at the middle of the CSA. The weather was so hot (89/92°F) but that concert was almost perfect. Dave mentioned the same during a little break. I wanted to wait a year because of the weather but finally I decided to buy my tickets. Thanks Providence! I read the band have A/C devices close by. If not, it´s almost impossible last 3 hours playing.

I don't know if I have ever heard Buddy sing like he did in Everyday, but his voice is unreal! That is not what I expected from him.
They really choose the songs well and pull out stops with their bolder voices on the last show of any given tour which makes sense

The broken down way they play Crush now even slower is such great mellow jazz for me it is the epitomy of DMB at its greatest even better than 41 with the whole Bela Fleck tone crew
I used to play trumpet in high school this trumpet jazz work is awe inspiring that fat man has such much needed lungs in that chest of his go horn man go
not to mention that bracelet are they billionaires or something that is pure white gold or platinum with silver or something like diamond crusted white gold it is shiny as fuck
Tim has got to be my top 10 ever guitarists yes up there with Clapton Hendrix Anastasio Derek Trucks Warren Hayes and a few others not to mention DMB has the best drummer living or dead in my opinion Carter is king of banging things
and Satellite that too for me is DMB at its core and best
The amount of instruments each individual member has besides Steffan perhaps but even he has 3 bass guitars up there it is staggering how rich these guys are

As much as I love "Stay or Leave", it just has never sounded right with the full band...

I do miss the sound of the fiddle and I think they haven't quite figured out how to fill that void. But that's not even their biggest issue: Buddy Strong isn't even the faintest whisper of what Butch Taylor did for them. Naturally, as long as you got Dave and Carter you got a band (Not that Stefan isn't his own force of nature).
Also, it's neat to see Dave just handling vocals and letting Tim play guitar.
Rather this than the last few years of violin where boyd's playing was atrocious
@@ash80510 It wasn't just the last few years. Boyd's playing has always been super mediocre at best. I'm the last person I'd expect to be defending him, he was always the most expendable member to me. Nonetheless, organ just isn't filling in those parts as well, especially since Butch was such a beast. Oh well, give Buddy a few years and they'll create new music structured around him, he'll be fine. Still one of the best bands in the world.
I agree with you about the sound of the fiddle. However, I personally think the most expendable person/instrument is the trumpet. Buddy fills in a little bit for the fiddle, but I'd happily take a fiddle any day instead of him. The trumpet, though, makes my ears bleed.
