I have 2020 Ram 2500 with AEV on 40s. In city isnt the good or bad. It makes up on Hwy Mpg and fuel economy.
No lockers, not fully loaded and over $110k. Ridiculous.

No 12" screen either

Drove one at a Kentucky RAM dealership a few months ago. 147,000.00. Even had custom paint by AEV. Fun truck to drive.
I know exactly which one you're talking about lol! They originally had it listed for 96 or 98K and I was like sold! Then they were like oops no that was just the base truck price (Limited) and it went up to 147k. Simple mistake, I figured that was the case, they are a good bunch at that dealership.

In my opinion, the AEV conversion for many models simply work. Many may argue that AEV pricing is a bit ridiculous, but when you get the fit and finish along with purposeful and functional form, you really can't beat it.

I have over 20k in suspension mods in a 16 cummins on 40s. It's cool to look at but thats about it. I'm going down to 37s after I weat out these for more usability

Looks like something Mad Max would own. It’s definitely a sweet ride, just can’t afford these type vehicles. Cost as much as my house cost. It’s nice though.

Ok so they're trying to sell a $100k plus truck and it doesn't have at least digital dash and a bigger infotainment. I will say it looks bullet proof.
I would not buy any truck that’s built by the dealer or 3rd party company. You’re paying a bunch of extra money for a truck that will be the same as any other truck built by the same people. So if you want something nice just buy a stander truck and build it to your liking is my opinion.😊

Truck prices are absolutely insane!! For the average working class guy that would use this to hunt, surf fish, camp etc…it’s just way out of reach!
I would just get the PW and some tires and cll it a day. Or a PW with Carli dominator kit and call it a day.

No, "Look Ma a pickup truck that cost $30k more than the new house I bought in 1989." Aren't you curious what the yearly ownership cost is? Property tax, insurance, fuel, tires, maintenance. But if you have to wonder about those things then you can't afford the truck anyway. I paid more for my sailboat. To each his own.

It's so sad what they do to trucks now. When I was young you used a truck for work. You just wanted a basic truck that you could beat up.

Too many bells and whistles. Hey, of course you can buy whatever you want. The prices are way too high. That's what is sad. But also trucks appear to be luxury vehicles now. To each his own. I'm just old and remember different times.
You’re right. But I think it’s more of the consumers fault though. I’d love a nice damn truck like this but at the same time I’d appreciate having a classic work like truck without all the unnecessary technology for less and use it for what it’s meant for rather then lusting and trying to impress others.

If youre going to buy a new truck, i do believe this is the only way to get an overland ready full size hd truck from the market under warranty. If youre going to get an older used truck then you can probably build one for a lot less…it just depends on what you want and what your budget is 🤷🏻♂️
