I miss FUN. Highly under appreciated and I love how their music feels timeless. Their breakdown of the tracks on Spotify makes me sad and I hope that eventually they’ll reunite to give us more immaculate music.
They posted on their site that they are having a 'break'. The reason why they are having this 'break' is so beautiful as they soul is. They don't care about money, they care about making music to be good, not to sell. They do this and, I believe, specially for us, so we don't get crappy, but genuine and meaningful music. That is their mission in this planet. Their music is truly the best one I've heard in these years (I'm talking about the music that lives in my generation). They are so beautiful. They are so wonderful. And as a true lover of Fun. I will wait anxiously for more of them. I'll be here when you come back I really regret for not have gone to their concert in 2013.
I listened to the fun album... it's great writing... their album is pieced together really well... you have to listen in order.... it's a very melancholy track list...
Anyone else hear their other songs at the end? My personal favorite is "Some Nights" so I was sooooo happy when I heard it at both the beginning and end. (if you didn't hear it at the beginning listen closely to the airport's music)
+J'zargo From Elsweyr omg I do! I love them so much. I actually discovered them when I was searching for Nate Ruess' music. They are so incredible, and their music it's just as incredible and mind blowing as fun's is. I seriously can't describe you how much twenty one pilots' music makes me so happy and completes my life.
+Eric Lopez I've bought the album in 2013, and I really agree with you. Sometimes I'm in my room, between the feeling of nostalgia and the feeling of getting a depression. And in those times i really like to just sit a listen to the all album, in their order. It's just a masterpiece, how well they played with the songs and their order. They are fucking amazing
I loved how my dad would play this whole album full volume when me and my sister drove around without my mom, but when my mom was in the car he always made sure it wasn't too loud because she had blow ear drums... they've still been married for 20 years, been together for longer than that.. I'm lucky to have been shown what true love is. The whole point of this comment if you're even still reading this is that this band will always have a meaning to my life, and I think that's whats more important than being well known, is just knowing your music has made an impact on the ones who deserve to hear their lyrics. The ones who hear his voice and smile no matter the context of the song.
It took me quite a while to wrap my head around the meaning of this song, and this was my conclusion: it is about a man that is ready to really invest emotionally in a relationship. The relationship isn't perfect, it has numerous issues, and I think those issues are individual and personal. They are both facing something in their heads which is challenging them and causing misunderstanding, but he is ready to work it out and he is hopeful. He feels that hey belong together, even with all the pressure. But, what really kills his vibe and diminishes his hope is the fact that is he is faced with her lack of willingness to work it out, maybe due to tiredness and depression, or just a general pessimistic view. He sees that she is dissatisfied and has no hope (''if you were thinking that the worst is yet to come''), and he wonders why it's, again, on him to cut it off and make the decision to leave, when he isn't the one that wants that. If it was on him to decide, he would stay, but he's had too much of this unevenness in their feelings. It's like he is inviting her to leave if she really feels that this thing between them has no future. This is actually a song about emotional indecisiveness and being on different pages with your partner emotionally. That's how I read it, at least. I think it's cool how we never fin out what really happened between them. I personally tend to assume that he realized he needs to find his own home and independence from her negativity, which is why the song ends in ''I'll move back down..'', as if he really will pack his stuff and leave, for better or for worse.
Funny for me that this song used to be my favorite when I'm still young and not knowing what this song really means Then suddenly this song describing my current relationship But I hope I'll never move to "western town"
I took the song as a man in a troubled marriage/relationship, they fight often and she often kicks him out the house “why I am the one always packing up my stuff” but he’s finally had enough and want to talk things out so makes a stand “for once I get the feeling that I’m right where I belong” he doesn’t want to leave, he’s made his mind up to stay and sort things out as the song ends with “and I think I kinda like it” showing how he likes the relationship despite its issues. The “I’ll move back down” part could also show how they are living apart at the moment, taking a break from each other, but he’s decided to move back in with her and sort it out.
@@outtaspace9704 well...kind of. I just want to say it is better being alone than in a toxic relationship, and I feel bad for realizing that too late. Damn, keep "packing up your stuff" and looking for what is truly good for you until you REALLY feel it. You say "you get the feeling that you're right where you belong" - just stop lying for God's sake. I believe you know deep inside yourself you do not belong there but you're afraid of either what other people will say or either leaving without having nowhere to go. Just stop lying yourself and move on from egocentrics. Leaving is healing.

What is with all the stupid comments about the suitcase? It obviously represents something, be it a struggle he's dealing with, a memory he's having a hard time letting go of, maybe it even represents himself, as we see how battered up and worn it becomes over time. Part of the beauty of this song and video is that you can discover what it means to you, and it can be deeply personal. If y'all are too shallow to see the symbolism and significance of the suitcase, and think its nothing more than Nate simply singing to a suitcase, than go home and read a book you walnut. This band beautiful and real and deep, and I sincerely hope everyone who comes her can appreciate it. This is talent, guys.
The connection with this song to "Some Nights" really does it for me. The airport music is the melody of Some Nights, and at 4:57 there's a muffled lyric of Some Nights in the background: "When I see stars, that's all they are. When I hear a song..." Some Nights is my favorite by them, but with this song's relatability and tone it comes in close.
I got enough on my mind That when she pulls me by the hair She hasn't much to hold onto She keeping count on her hand One, two, three days that I've been sleeping on my side I finished kissing my death So now I head back up the steps Thinking about where I've been I mean the sun was never like this So I wanna feel with the seasons I guess it makes sense 'cause my life's become as vapid as A night out in Los Angeles And I just wanna stay in bed I hold you like I used to You know that I am home So darling if you love me Would you let me know? Or go on, go on, go on If you were thinking that the worst is yet to come Why am I the one always packing up my stuff? For once, for once, for once I get the feeling that I'm right where I belong Why am I the one always packing all my stuff? She got enough on her mind That she feel no sorrow I let my fate fill the air So now she rollin' down the window Never been one to hold on But I need a last breath, so I ask if she remembers when She used to come and visit me We were fools to think that nothing could go wrong Go on, go on, go on If you were thinking that the worst is yet to come Why am I the one always packing up my stuff? For once, for once, for once I get the feeling that I'm right where I belong Why am I the one always packing all my stuff? I think I kinda like it but I might of had too much I'll move back down To this western town When they find me out, make no mistake about it I'll move back down To this western town When they find me out, make no mistake about it I'll move back down (Go on, go on, go on, if you were thinkin' that the worst is yet to come) To this western town Why am I the one always packin' up my stuff Go on, go on, go on, if you were thinkin that the worst is yet to come Why am I the one always packin' up my stuff? For once, for once, for once, I get the feeling that I'm right where I belong Why am I the one always packin' up my stuff? I think I kinda like it, but I might of had too much I'll move back down
The majority of their songs have an amazing message. These days music is always everywhere and it doesn't make much sense. That's why I'm into old ish music.
I am 51 and lived in AZ when The Format was getting attention. Fun. had two great albums that I can listen to over and over. I wish they made more music.
Such an amazing band. I believe that a comeback will be phenomenal. If record company's are worried that their unique taste of music is not supported then it is up to their fans to prove them wrong. Lets like this comment so they notice how much support the band still have!
Same. I'm pretty sure they're never getting back together but we can appreciate what they made together and that they're all happy on their individual paths.
This MIGHT be about how they're trying to leave behind the fame of their band and songs, but the luggage (The Band Itself) always comes back to them. It also talks about how "I think I kinda liked it, but". Some obvious hints. But I think it delivers a very serious message.
Call me crazy but I think this song is about the tolls that cancer has placed on someone's relationship. "I've got enough on my mind (a tumor on the brain) that when she pulls me by the hair, she hasn't much to hold onto (loss of hair from chemotherapy)". "I finish kissing my death" would be an obvious parallel. "I mean the sun was never like this" could be the new perspective and beauty the speaker finds after narrowly escaping death. The speaker describes sleeping on his side, and having a vapid lifestyle, only wanting to stay in bed and hold this special person "like he used to." But evidently, he can't hold her anymore, suggesting that the disease has taken some life out of their relationship. The relationship has become more about getting the speaker through the days than actually experiencing one another's love. "So darling, if you love me, will you let me know?" This person in his life likely feels very little for this relationship but stays out of guilt for his condition. "I let my fate (cancer) fill the air, so now she rolling down the window" could mean that the idea of his imminent death is smothering her and she wants to be rid of it, like rolling down a car window to let the air out. "Why am I the one?" Could be a question the speaker asks rhetorically about his condition. As if to say, "Why am I the one to get this disease? Why does it have to be me?" "I ask if she remembers when she used to come and visit me" is a reference to hospital visits, and "we were fools to think that nothing could go wrong" is a shot at the naïveté when people never stop to consider that tragedy isn't just something that happens to other people. The speaker's telling the person to "go on" is possibly his way of telling her to move on if she can't handle him in his condition, although it's likely a weak challenge.
wow the fact that a single person could mark that they dislike this video or song is astounding. It's one of the most beautiful songs in the past decade. Even my son, at eight years old, recognized what an amazing song as was lol. People are embarrassingly stupid
You're embarrassingly stupid for saying that. Yes, this song is beautiful. But only _to you,_ me, and others who _didn't_ click dislike. They're entitled to their opinion.
I listen to this song everyday but too many times I lose count and there is a lot of people who do this too so I guess that's why so rapidly it went to 10 million views
Someone very special dedicated this song to me back then. We lost touch and then met up again after 4 years last week and this song is the first one that came to my mind when I saw him. It brought back so many memories and so nostalgic.
it's so sad how this person he likes tells him he's wrong how he lives his life and he agrees it's been rough - but when he caves in and does what she thinks is right - he's told he's wrong and so he has (and is told) to leave - where he can finally be himself. At the end he realizes what he feels really truly is the right way - because the world understands and supports it (hence the suitcase coming to them in the end).

I love when I stumble across a musical gem from a band i already love.
I got enough on my mind
That when she pulls me by the hair
She hasn't much to hold onto
She keeping count on her hand
One, two, three days that I've been sleeping on my side
I finished kissing my death
So now I head back up the steps
Thinking about where I've been
I mean the sun was never like this
So I wanna feel with the seasons
I guess it makes sense 'cause my life's become as vapid as
A night out in Los Angeles
And I just wanna stay in bed
I hold you like I used to
You know that I am home
So darling if you love me
Would you let me know?
Or go on, go on, go on
If you were thinking that the worst is yet to come
Why am I the one always packing up my stuff?
For once, for once, for once
I get the feeling that I'm right where I belong
Why am I the one always packing all my stuff?
She got enough on her mind
That she feel no sorrow
I let my fate fill the air
So now she rollin' down the window
Never been one to hold on
But I need a last breath, so I ask if she remembers when
She used to come and visit me
We were fools to think that nothing could go wrong
Go on, go on, go on
If you were thinking that the worst is yet to come
Why am I the one always packing up my stuff?
For once, for once, for once
I get the feeling that I'm right where I belong
Why am I the one always packing all my stuff?
I think I kinda like it but I might of had too much
I'll move back down
To this western town
When they find me out, make no mistake about it
I'll move back down
To this western town
When they find me out, make no mistake about it
I'll move back down (Go on, go on, go on, if you were thinkin' that the worst is yet to come)
To this western town
Why am I the one always packin' up my stuff
Go on, go on, go on, if you were thinkin that the worst is yet to come
Why am I the one always packin' up my stuff?
For once, for once, for once, I get the feeling that I'm right where I belong
Why am I the one always packin' up my stuff?
I think I kinda like it, but I might of had too much
I'll move back down
Thanks broski :)

Thank you mate
Listening to Fun will never put you to sleep, as they are that energetic.
I miss them so much. For some reasons this song popped into my head the other day after not having listened to them for a while. it's so good..
The majority of their songs have an amazing message. These days music is always everywhere and it doesn't make much sense. That's why I'm into old ish music.
Another AMAZING song and video from FUN. They just ROCK!!!! i REALLY wish they would come out with some new stuff.
I am 51 and lived in AZ when The Format was getting attention. Fun. had two great albums that I can listen to over and over. I wish they made more music.
Why are these people so dang good?
Huh
These songs bring back so many good memories.
The world needs to find out about this band!
I can't believe I've never heard this on the radio.
How I could used them right now. But blessed to have this
Now I want a full version of Some Nights elevator music...
This video actually kinda made me sad. Outstanding song that took me FOREVER to discover and now I'm straight up addicted to it
*I know!* I'm commenting this in 2018, it's still amazing. That suitcase is such a good metaphor, it makes me sad for the suitcase.
Times are changing, we need them now. I wish they would come back and fill us with new hope
Ever since I discovered fun., I’ve always loved their songs, and this is in my favourites.
Always favorite.... It's been nine years but still listening with same vibe ..... 🖤🖤🖤
*september 2019, Some Nights playing in the background. lying on my bed and... waiting for fun. to return*
WE LOVE YOU FUN THE BEST MUSIC I PLAYED
these songs right here, there the ones that have meaning.
Such an amazing band. I believe that a comeback will be phenomenal. If record company's are worried that their unique taste of music is not supported then it is up to their fans to prove them wrong. Lets like this comment so they notice how much support the band still have!
Ben Fleming still waiting up to this date... that'd be amazing
THE SUITCASE IS BIGGER ON THE INSIDE

2013 what a year for me a great a year and this band I listen a lot that year ❤❤ I hope you back again guys
I was 13 when I first heard it and I was obsessed with FUN, honestly, I've waited all this years to see them together again ❤️
Same. I'm pretty sure they're never getting back together but we can appreciate what they made together and that they're all happy on their individual paths.
I sing my heart out to this song back in high school. Brings back so much memories ❤️
The most underrated songs of FUN
I'm lost in life, I always listen to their songs and run away to when I was just a little kid... Their songs are beautifull :((
2020 is almost cancelled, you guys should come back & make Fun of us..
2009 - 2022 still one of my fav band!!

+phelnie28 yeah i know, but i am waiting FUN new album
This song will never get old. 🔥
Another Fun fun song. ;) Life can be so hard. Ease yourself with these songs. :)
Did anyone notice that the early elevator music is a reference to "some nights" ?
So is the ending, "Ehn I see stars, that's all they are. When I hear songs..."
@@VersedFlame I THOUGHT I ONLY HEARD THAT!!
omg yesssss
No.
Yes
This MIGHT be about how they're trying to leave behind the fame of their band and songs, but the luggage (The Band Itself) always comes back to them. It also talks about how "I think I kinda liked it, but". Some obvious hints. But I think it delivers a very serious message.
Omg no bc the muzak version of Some Nights at the beginning is everything??? I need a full version plz lmao
I get so nostalgic whenever I listen to these boys' tracks.
You really can''t even release like one album every five years? Like yes be happy and explore, but please, I need it.
❤Fun is the best band ever !!!❤
Please KEEP GOING !!!!!!!
My new favorite song by Fun
Why does it have to be me?"
"I ask if she remembers when she used to come and visit me" is a reference to hospital visits, and "we were fools to think that nothing could go wrong" is a shot at the naïveté when people never stop to consider that tragedy isn't just something that happens to other people.
The speaker's telling the person to "go on" is possibly his way of telling her to move on if she can't handle him in his condition, although it's likely a weak challenge.
...... jesus bro
Dang, that was deep, but it could be the case. Your comment was spot on! Now i'm thinking about the lyrics myself!
Crazy
Omg I thought the same when I was reading the lyrics to this but I didn't wanna comment it cus I thought ppl would think I'm stupid
r/iamverysmart
2024 anyone still heard this songg❤❤
Yup
Me
wow the fact that a single person could mark that they dislike this video or song is astounding. It's one of the most beautiful songs in the past decade. Even my son, at eight years old, recognized what an amazing song as was lol. People are embarrassingly stupid
it is a good song but u have to know everyone has an oppinion and they might not like it
You're embarrassingly stupid for saying that. Yes, this song is beautiful. But only _to you,_ me, and others who _didn't_ click dislike. They're entitled to their opinion.
You guys we ate still streaming old songs waiting for your coming black
One of the best choruses ever
Watching from quarantine season, binging on Fun. songs.
Hit like if u too
I'm calling it, in 2 years this song is gonna have 10m views.
Check again..
I listen to this song everyday but too many times I lose count and there is a lot of people who do this too so I guess that's why so rapidly it went to 10 million views
Well, yknow, that's the joke.
