Good video, one thing is 'Granny' chargers are rated at 10 Amps in UK so just 2.2-2.4 kW. As 13 Amp sockets are rarely capable of 24/7 usage at that rating.

Yes I came across a video recently by an electrician fitting a 3 pin domestic socket suitable for a granny charger...it was in a blue external box and looked exactly like a standard socket but had a "suitable for EV charging" label on it. He rang the company from his van to ask what the difference was and was told only that it had undergone testing for such. So I would think any good quality plug like MK or Hamilton would be fine preferably on its own circuit.
No I am a qualified Gas engineer with years of electrical experience ...this work was done in my own house and the piecing in at the consumer box end and testing WAS done by a qualified electrician

Nice neat setup, I’m amazed how these you tube electricians, say you need a double consumer unit, when 5-6 circuits is sufficient
