Funny thing is TRT clearly said 'India became secular country with Hindu majority' but couldn't say 'Pakistan became ”Islamic republic" of Pakistan'. Why to hide 'Islamic republic' when they have it everywhere like passport, maps, documents etc

Most of the people don't understand the violence because they missed one simple information. The partition was not the first option. But Ali Jinnah called for nationwide riot. After watching such brutality, Leader had to agree to the partition. That means, the partition happened during a riot. The partition actually ensures the extremists at that very point of time, that the violence was legit, and law and order was also broken at that time. We must appreciate that many ground level British military officers have actually saved many lives even on the verge of their transfer, whereas their bosses were busy in getting out of the country 'clean'.

Since there was no "complete" exchange, we remain the ultimate losers. The instability at our northern borders and numerous deaths are all due to this. My grandfather carried 7 young siblings with him at age 25 along with wife and 2 kids. parents of siblings were murdered. women were being raped, forced convert. my grandfather went to kanpur and then later settled in mumbai. 9 people living in one bedroom in mumbai. starting life from scratch.. it was a tough life for millions of people specially the people of Sindh, Punjab. We the Sindhis - lost our state, our jobs, our family, our property and more than that our culture and heritage. Our guru's temple where the guru samadhi is in pakistan was destroyed by taliban in 1990s. They saw the samadhi of the guru in sitting position and ran away. Hearing stories from my grandparents in 1990s bring tears to my eyes. Our life's hardship is not even 1 millimeter of what our grandparents faced during that time. But then the amount of willpower, guts and courage their generation had to rebuild everything , our generation does not have. Hats off to all the people who survived the brutal migration during independence of india.

Gandhi and Nehru were only interested in making a government and they even agreed for a dominion status pact from British rule. It was because of leaders and freedom fighters like Subhash Chandra Bose & Bhagat Singh who actually pressurized Britishers in many different ways. They were real heroes behind the concept of 'complete independence'.
Jinaah even agreed that he won't demand a seperate nation(pakistan) if Bose will be given power, but Gandhi - Nehru had their own greed to form government. If Bose was our first PM, neither there was a need for a seperate nation nor for all this bloodshed.

Also some interesting facts, Muslim League and Hindu Mahasabha, when they could not defeat Indian National Congress in 1937 provincial elections in a lot of provinces, they actually were in an alliance in Bengal, backed by the British. In 1942, when Netaji Subhash Chandra was in Europe and got to know about Savarkar & RSS running pro-British agendas, asking people to not join the Quit India Movement, he referred to them as "India's Biggest Traitors".
RSS was officially opposing Quit India Movement! Then Jinnah played the riot game after WW2, and thousands of Hindus, Muslims and Sikhs were killed in Calcutta, Noakhali, Lahore, Bihar.

Indian government said to choose between India and Pakistan to people who were living in Pakistan and said the same thing to people who were living in India. But since the percentage of Muslims in Pakistan was at par in comparison to their counterpart, there was feeling of anxiety among non Muslim people in Pakistan. Feeling of getting killed and slaughtered. So choosing a side or so to say country, was more of a their own decision rather than an imposed decision onto them. I have hell lot of books and literature talking about the said topic in deep. I being a history guy could tell you that although both side lost their beloved ones during that partition but Pakistan always try to mull into India’s internal affair. They even attacked on India just after the independence. That war would tell you about how prince of that time Jammu and Kashmir chose India as their ally and not Pakistan.

So they left everything and had to go as the other became enemy country and as happens you would never be allowed.

Understand this, Till 14th AUG, 1947 there was a "Government" of "Brithis Raj", but on the next day, "British Raj" and that govenrment ceased to exist.
If you have seen "The Purge", it was that. And absence of governance brings the worst in you. Suddenly the neighbour from different faith you were living with for generations will ask you to leave your home and go to the "other side, to 'your' people" and will grab your land and assets. The neighbours kid you grew up with will start to see you as flesh to play with
It's been seven decades and we are still scattered across the subcontinent.

Since the British started losing out in WW-II and quit India movement in 1942, they already knew they won’t be able to continue much longer. So, this plan was hatched.
With the amount of industrial development in those days, in no time an united India would surpass the European Countries.
The Hindu-Muslim sentiments were not so strong till say 1945 or so.
If you look at the major industries, from textile to steel to automobile were all being produced in India. Alas, the partition was done in such a way that the factories were in one side and the raw material in the other.
    It’s the White Supremacy attitude.

The British created the paranoya and devision between coexisting communities( btw Hindus and Muslims coexisted mostly peacefully.there was never any enemity) . Naturally most muslims wanted to be on land mass with the majority and the rest wanted to be on the other side . And both communities had become viscous because they blamed each other for losing there roots /house /there comfort zone / livelihood/ancestral homes etc. etc. Vengence had spiraled out of control .
