The combat looks really great. I know I'm not going to be very good at it, but like every other souls game, I'm gonna play it until I'm stuck at some boss for way too long to continue. Looking forward to it.

Sounds a lot like it's going to be another game similar to Nioh. Sad, I was actually looking forward to Project BBQ, but if it pans out to be a Nioh-like I probably won't be getting it.
I love this but damn we really do just need some A grade MMO games. I love these single player experiences and they’re typically greater quality than a multiplayer game. But will we ever get a great MMO again? One that has a huge player base, and great gameplay that makes you feel connected to the players around the world? That’s all I want.
A great MMO can only be made by a big company spending a lot of time, money, and effort, but unfortunately those companies don't want to do *any* of those things and would rather just try in vain to make another Fortnite live service cash cow with as minimal effort as possible. I doubt there will be another WoW-level MMO unless people actually stop playing the existing WoW.

even as an open world MMO if they had just removed the MM part and had it as an Open world Online RPG so you and friends can play together it would be 10x better then that single player garbage.

The performance characteristics at launch better be amazing or else it's going to be another pass for me. Namely for the PS5 : exceptional HDR, stable 60fps and VRR support. I also don't pre-order digital games.

I mean not really. It's a style of gameplay that devs choose to incorporate in their game. Has it been used a lot? sure, but it all comes down to how it's executed 🤷🏽♂️

I cant believe they killed project BBQ for another crap souls like clone where your forced to play as a set character.
I was so hyped to play DFO in a 3rd person 3D action RPG format then they gut tf out of it and turn it into this crap.
I love souls games but plz let them die im so sick of this.
